Horrible!
I hated this book.
First of all, I think people need to know that she loses a baby in the 7th month.
I never would have read it if I'd known that was part of the story.
Now I am going to rant a bit
So DNF at 90%. I did skim to see if there was any redeeming the story for me.
NOPE.
Unromantic and boring (took me weeks to read). Lots of buildups that just didn't pan out. World building that was ridiculously OTT with no intrigue whatsoever.
I give up on this author.
I hated this book.

First let me say that I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book, but it in no way influenced my feedback. I always leave an honest review.
Wow, this story was Gr8. I've always had a fascination with Elves, but Christina has taken it to such a deep level. Mia is a very cautious woman, and she has many reasons to be. But she ignores all of her cautions and meets Thaylan, who is an Elven Prince, (but she doesn't know that yet). So much is going on in this story and I don't want to spoil it for you, so I will say "I couldn't put it down, & I can't wait for the next book either". I recommend this read. 5 Thumbs up

The first book in the Elven Realms series and I know I want to read the next book.Mia Hart is a woman that has been hidden from her real world and only by meeting Prince Thaylan does she come to find out what she really is.There is danger, suspense,drama, love and one well-written story. This is 1 of the saddest stories I've ever read Heartbreaking everywhere you turn And the story doesn't end we have to wait for the ending I just hope there Is a happy ending If it hasn't that's even sadder. I need the last books or book in this Series. I hope that you have Written it By now.Considering it's 2022 and you said the other book would be ready in 2018 and it's not here yet Please let us know if you've written it.thank you.

This is the first book in the series.
I felt that there was huge potential for this to go places. There were good pitfalls and triumphs to make you feel for and root for the characters.

This book was hot. I could not put it down until I finished reading it. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who is looking to read it and aren’t sure if they want to. Trust me, you will love it.

Magical Love
This read was beyond beautiful. Even with the diversions for background purpose (very long) can't destroy the story itself. Great read. On to the next. I can't wait to learn how they save the king and queen and destroy the evil that has beset both the second and third realm.

This book took a different direction than I first expected. It managed to keep me guessing what was going to happen throughout it. I loved how it explained the story and answered questions I didn’t know I had. At times it was a little hard to read but wanting to know what happened next overpowered that

OK, let me start by saying that this one is a romantic novel, and as anyone who has read my reviews (is there anyone) will know I’m not a romantic at all. But I decided to give this one a go. I have to say I’m glad I did, it’s epic fantasy as I see it and also there is a different take to it as well. Highly recommended.

I came into Memories of an Elven Prince with high expectations. Having read and enjoyed Cristina Rayne’s earlier works, particularly Claimed by the Elven King, I was curious to see how Thaylan’s story would unfold when given the spotlight. Unfortunately, while there are moments of intrigue and a few strong scenes, this installment lacked the emotional resonance I’d come to expect from her.
The book opens with Mia and Thaylan meeting in the human realm, and though the premise sets up something potentially compelling, the emotional connection between the main characters never quite landed for me. Their bond felt more implied than developed, and given how much time they spend apart, it was difficult to invest in them as a pair. For large stretches of the book, they’re separated emotionally and physically, and the romance thread felt underdeveloped as a result. For a story that could have leaned into romance or even slow-burn longing, that felt like a missed opportunity.
One of Rayne’s strengths has always been worldbuilding, and the Elven Realm she’s created over her series is intricate and ambitious. However, this time around, the mechanics of realm travel, timelines, and especially the quantum-physics-based explanations felt overly convoluted. There’s a fine line between immersive complexity and confusing excess, and here it tipped toward the latter. I found myself rereading paragraphs not because they were profound, but because they were confusing, to try and follow what should have been simple transitions between worlds.
There are returning characters from her previous series, which longtime readers may appreciate, but their inclusion didn’t bring much added depth to this book. Thaylan himself, once an enigmatic figure with potential for nuance, felt surprisingly flat in his expanded role. It was hard to reconcile the Thaylan I remembered with the one we meet here, his personality stripped down in a way that made it hard to care about his arc.
There's also one especially devastating plot point that should have carried significant emotional weight (and early on, it nearly did), but the fallout was so rushed and disconnected from the characters’ internal arcs that I struggled to stay invested. I kept reading, hoping for some kind of deeper emotional exploration but it never quite came.
Still, I wouldn’t say this was a bad book. The pacing picks up in the latter half, and the high-stakes conflict involving a powerful antagonist and dark forces does lend some urgency. The action scenes are readable and well paced, and the writing itself is polished.
Ultimately, Memories of an Elven Prince isn’t a book I regret reading, but it also wasn’t something I’d eagerly revisit. For fans of the series, it might fill in a few narrative gaps, but as a standalone experience, it lacks the depth and emotional clarity that made Rayne’s earlier works stand out.
I’ll keep an eye out for a sequel if one ever arrives, but with cautious optimism next time.

The story is about Thaylan and Mia who meet in the human realm.
I don't want to give anything away, but it is full of action and plot twists.
Some of the characters from her previous series do appear.
The way that she explains the different realms and how they transport sometimes
leaves me confused, as it is over my head. Quantum physics etc.
Overall, I couldn't put this book down. If you enjoy stories about elves then this series
is a must read.
On a side note, this does end in a cliffhanger so I hope we don't have to wait too long
for the next installment.
