Charlie Rhodes is psychic, telekinetic and loaded for bear. She's also hiding amongst the very people who are looking to find someone with her particular skillset.
She's young, energetic, and fresh out of college. She's also landed her dream job with The Legacy Foundation, a group of individuals who are looking for proof of paranormal and legendary creatures.
Charlie has to keep a secret while trusting the others to watch her back. It's a delicate balancing act.
It's also a lot of fun.
This three-book omnibus includes the first three books in the Charlie Rhodes Cozy Mystery series. Included are: The Bigfoot Blunder, The Chupacabra Catastrophe and The Werewolf Whoops.
When I was a kid, I was torn between whether or not I was going to grow up and be the Incredible Hulk or Wonder Woman. I flirted with being a Jedi Knight for awhile, but I wasn't up for the intense travel associated with the gig. In my teens, I settled on being a writer -- although I had no idea the effort that would entail. Not only am I a writer now, but I'm a writer in several different mediums. I'm a longtime newspaper reporter, an avid reader and a voracious science fiction fanatic.
The Monster Mash-Up A Charlie Rhodes Cozy Mystery, Books 1-3 By: Amanda M. Lee Narrated by: Emily Lawrence I love this author and this series is great! It is funny, clever, great characters, funny, and has a touch of romance. Charlie is the main character and she has a paranormal gift or two which she keeps secret. This is ironic since she is on a team/job to search out paranormal activity when there is something unusual about a case. The team has such strange characters! 😁 The first case they check out a murder mystery with a possible Bigfoot. The second involved a chupacabra, and the last a missing person involving possible werewolves! The narration made the stories pop! Great job! Loved these books!
I have really enjoyed this book. I had read the first two but scanned over them again and with the third book she has sucked me in to reading a series I hadn't had time to start yet. Well they are downloaded and I hope I enjoy them as much as I did the introduction to some of the characters in this book. Really liked the story and look forward to more of Charlie, and her learning about herself.
Great clean fun cozy series. A little wit, clean. Romance. Throw in a little paranormal sci-fi that could be true. Meaning a group attempting to prove the unexplainable and you have a perfect story. I love to read but t :) e audible recordings are AWESOME. Narrator captures 25 yr old attitude perfectly. Only complaint, I found the series too soon. I wish there were more than 3.
So Monster Mash-up is the first three books in the Charlie Rhodes series. A group of monster hunters that don't always find any monsters. The ingenious way they all interact and react to each other is hilarious. Amanda M. Lee certainly had her snark out front and in full force for this series which truly makes it worth reading.
Charlie isn’t entirely sure where she fits, what she can do, or what path to take. Only one thing is sure, where she goes mystery and mayhem follow. Or does she follow the mystery and stumble into the mayhem? Either way, it’s a lot of fun to ride along.
The story line seemed to drag on, the main characters waffling over personal issued seem to get in the way of the story about the monsters. I'd still recommend reading the series to read it.
The Legacy Foundation has a new investigation into the disappearance of two campers and Chris is beyond excited because rumour has it werewolves were invilved. The romance issues of several team members come to a head. Charlie meets the Winters family.
Enjoyed every one of these stories and the love story which followed into all of them. So happy that Jack finally saw some sense and decided that Charlie was worth all of the hassle she would bring to him, but he still has no idea of her magical ability
I found these books totally enjoyable. Easy, quick reads. Very entertaining, not requiring a lot of thought. Sometimes its nice just to be entertained.
I started this series because it crosses over with the Wicked Witch of the Midwest series, which I recently finished. I actually like this one better. I like the characters a bit more, perhaps because the series isn't set in the same small town every time. And the magic seems like it's going to go more high-stakes eventually, which is intriguing. The author writes paranormal cozies, mysteries without too much violence. Sweet, fun, magically mysteries. I like everything I've read by her so far, and it's all free on Kindle Unlimited.
