My first book to finish in 2019. At first, I read this book because I was interested in its drama. I found it in VIU (the drama) and drawn by the character. After finish the drama I search a lot of information regarding A Love So Beautiful and found out that this drama actually made from a novel. So I try to search it and actually didn't find it. But a miracle happens, magically I can read its translated novel. This book uses the first point of view, we read it as Xiaoxi (the female lead).
What I love from this novel are of course the story itself more detail and the side story (of course!), surprisingly that the novel quite different from the drama. First, as for Jiang Chen (the male lead), in the drama, he is so cool, that if you touch his skin you can turn into ice cubes (kidding!) but in the novel, I found out his character is more likely 50% cool and 50% childish (lovely!). Second, there is a lot of character in the novel, I think the drama producer make it simpler by choosing only a few characters from the book.
What lack from this book is how it describes each character, how they would look like (their hair, their height, their appearance and etc.), as I love to imagine each scene, I really love to know the detail of it. Also, this book has so many Chinese phrases and proverbs that if the re-author didn't explain its meaning, we wouldn't understand.
Overall it is really worth to read!
