I had one job. Stand up tall, look pretty, and don’t fall for the lawyer trying to put my father in prison. I had one. f*cking. job.
I’ve always had a thing for the forbidden guy.
So, I shouldn’t have been surprised by the rush of blood to my cheeks the moment I laid eyes on Lance Tyler, Attorney at Law.
Tall, handsome. A jaw chiseled from solid rock. Wicked smart — and not just street smart. He could triple word score me all night long if you know what I mean.
But any primal urge I have instantly goes cold when I remember why I entered his office in the first place. My father is in jail. Lance wants to keep it that way.
Sleeping with the enemy isn’t my style but Lance has a few urges of his own. One touch. One kiss. One night with him… and I’ve completely lost myself.
No man has ever wrecked me like this before. But it feels so good.
A brand-new star-crossed romance from USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author, Tabatha Kiss!
The Rich Bitches Series Reading Order 1. Pretty Little Thing (Nora and Clive's story) 2. Pretty Dirty Trick (Trix and Lance's story) 3. Pretty Ever After (Melanie and Robbie's story) Coming Soon!
USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author Tabatha Kiss is from Chicago, Illinois.
You can probably catch her huddled up in a hoodie, reading a good romance beneath a tree with her trusty husky by her side. She enjoys roller derby, sushi, and is always searching for her forever bad boy.
This is the 2nd book of the "Rich Bitches Series” called Pretty Dirty Trick which is about Trix, the mafia princess's story. We met Trix in "Pretty Little Thing" and in that book, thought she would end up with her bodyguard. Now in this book Lance the assistant district attorney that is prosecuting her dad enters the picture and her love life is heading in a new direction which is quite sinful and steamy. The chemistry between the two characters was quite intense and very sizzling. Trix is feisty, sassy, very funny and someone whose personality is a force of nature. Lance is a good father who has had heartbreak in his past yet he comes across as strong, determined, honorable, dominant and very hot. This is one star-crossed couple who are determined to be together yet certain factions are determined to keep them apart. The romance held my attention all the way from start to finish. The mafia element is not overdone and is just perfect for the plotline in this book. I can't wait for the next book in this series.
My Rating: 4.5 stars ***** “I received an advanced copy of this book from the author at no cost to me."
Trix is the daughter of the head of the Argento crime family. Lance Tyler is the DA who is building a case against him. Becoming involved is a bad idea but they can't fight the magnetic attraction pulling them together. Trix and Lance are great characters, fleshed out and likable. I already knew Trix somewhat from book one of the series, Pretty Little Thing. She's funny and driven and tough, at least on the outside, but what she really wants is "a seat at the table" with her father and brothers. Lance is a pleasant surprise. He's a good man and a wonderful father who is no stranger to heartbreak. This romance held my attention all the way through. The writing is great as always. I really cared about these characters and the end is very sweet. I loved this book.
I am voluntarily reviewing an advance reader copy of this book.
This retelling of Romeo and Juliet shows the story to its dramatic angsty best. The moment she started talking about him in the previous book, I had a feeling that this was the pairing Trix was going to get. Even before they’d officially met, I could feel the chemistry being set in motion. I loved seeing the big squishy heart Trix’s devil-may-care attitude tried to hide. And I just liked Lance. There isn’t anything specific that I can point to and say “this is why”. I just did. These characters kept me laughing at the outrageous things they said and did. They made my heart hurt when things went sideways, and it sighed when everything was going right. I also got a huge kick out of the cameo appearances of characters from some of the author’s other series’.
copy received for honest review The worst thing about this book is that it ended to fast. I loved Trix and Lance. She is the public face of her mafia family. Lance is the prosecutor that wants to put them away. On paper they are a terrible match but when they meet the differences don't seem to matter. Reality gets in the way of their romance. Can they find a way for both of them to be happy? Lance is on the fast track. He is looking to build his career. He is a great dad, a good friend and always wants to do the right thing. He became a father at a young age and still was able to raise his daughter and get through law school. He is a fighter with a big heart. Trix, we met in book one. she is the only daughter of the Argento crime boss. She is the one who makes sure all the good things are out front. She is smart, independant and knows her mind. The two of them together is like dynamite. They are fun and sexy. This story, just like the other, was at times fun and carefree. I loved the characters and am looking forward to the 3rd book.
This book has it all! Heartbreak, some drama, danger, unexpected twist, LOL moments, witty banter, a great storyline that keeps you turning the pages, intense, sizzling chemistry, oh, and some hot sex.
I volunteered to review an advance reader copy of this book.
Perfect ending for this sweet, sexy, swoony story with an awesome couple. 😊❤️🔥 There was little to no drama/angst, but funny side characters like Nora, Melanie and Robbie. Can't wait for the last couple! 🥰
One Woman Ready To Take On Everyone! I love this Book!
The trio returns! This time around Trix is in the hot seat so speak! When her mobbed-up family is in deep with the authorities, her good girl persona only gets her so far with the handsome attorney Lance Tyler whose sole purpose is keeping her father behind bars, and bringing the rest of her family down. Trixie should hate him. Lance should dislike her, but the sparks that fly between them are not something you feel every day. Powerless to stop the trainwreck of passion between them... life just got messy and hot. I LOVE LOVE LOVE these stories! Woo! OMG, How much goes on in the power-packed tornado of sex, lies, love, heartache, and everything in between! Such a sexified, laugh out loud, creative, kept me wanting more masterpiece with just enough drama sigh- I did not want it to end. These characters are so much fun to read about Gah- throw in the cameo's from Max ( 2 In The PINK) <<<--- Hearted the hell out of that book!! And Jack from ( Hot Sauce ) <<<-- Ah. YAS! Please! ( Love that one too!) It made this book even more of a hit for me! Phew! A book that I had been highly anticipating, and most certainly did not disappoint! Now, I will wait impatiently for the next book Pretty Every After! So, I hope it's soon- ah no pressure.. Kidding.. Sort of! Excellent Book! A MUST READ!
Side Note: The scene where Trix sits down and casually has a conversation with Clive while he is otherwise " tied " up. Thank you to the author for that. I snorted water up nose! THAT WAS GREAT!
This is a great story of good and bad, Lance and Beatrix. This is the 2nd book in the series and it’s a great read! Beatrix is the daughter of the top mob boss in Chicago. Beatrix’s job is to run and attend social functions to give back to the community showing her family in a positive light with no involvement in the family business. Lance is the local ADA and he is prosecuting her father and has him in jail. Lance is hoping this case will help him move up in his professional career. Lance meets Trix during an interview and he can not believe the attraction he has towards her and somehow ends up meeting her outside the office and things get interesting! Marcus is the family’s top bodyguard and Trix has had causal hook ups with him but he believes there is more to them and Trix has to put him in his place. Things get crazy between them along with her father turning his back on her that Trix ends up quitting her job and turns to Lance. Lance brings Trix into his home and she meets his daughter and is happy as things get serious with them. Marcus stirs up trouble and reality sets in and Trix and Lance end up walking away from one another, with broken hearts. Some unexpected news is shared with Lance and after he works through it he comes up with a plan to get Trix to become his! After Lance’s plan is revealed will Trix stand up for Lance to her family? This is a wonderful story with twist that you will not see! I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

I love a good forbidden romance and you can’t get more forbidden than a mob boss’ daughter and his prosecutor. We met Trix in Pretty Little Thing and we learned that she is the daughter to the head of Argento mob family. We also learn she had a special buddy relationship with Marcus, her bodyguard, who doesn’t get that it’s over.
Lance is the lawyer trying to put Trix’s father in jail for life; however, things take an interesting turn when Lance finally meets the beautiful Trix. So we have Trix trying to get her father released, Lance trying to convict her father yet falling for her and Marcus who just doesn’t take “no” for answer.
Lots of things take place throughout the book and yes I believe some to be completely unrealistic but I enjoyed it. However, the Marcus situation confused me I couldn’t tell if he loved her or was completely obsessed, especially with his little plan at the end that had major consequences.
The reason for my rating is because I don’t mind the hero being an ass or making a mistake as long as he apologizes appropriately. I felt Lance’s reaction to Trix’s news required more consequences or groveling instead of instant forgiveness.
Now I need Robbie and Melanie’s book! I totally had a feeling Robbie wasn’t going to let his wife...I mean... ex-wife go so easily.
This is the second book in the series and although it is not necessary to read the first, I recommend reading it as it will help with understanding the stories among the three women characters. Lance is the local assistant district attorney who is prosecuting a case involving a mob boss. Beatrix is the daughter of the mob boss but has no involvement in the family business. She is somewhat of a socialite who throws and attends functions that give back to her community to help show her family in a more favorable light. Marcus is the bodyguard of the family who hooks up with Beatrix on occasion although he is under the impression that there is more to the two of them then there is. He does not appreciate Beatrix putting him in his place for his misconception. After a bit of a brouhaha, Beatrix’s father disowns her and other problems arise, the only person she can turn to is Lance. This is when things start to get serious between them. Can Lance and Beatrix make a go of it or will a person from Beatrix’s past make some trouble for them? Will Beatrix go to bat for Lance and stand up to her family? This is one story full of twists and turns that will keep the reader engaged throughout. I just could not put it down. I volunteered to read an advance copy of this book.
There’s one thing that’s consistent with this author and that is, I know I’m going to be entertained from beginning to end. The banter between all the characters is fluent and perfect making me chuckle and laugh out loud more than once. The story flows beautifully and not once was I bored, not wanting it to end. The story of Trix, the oldest daughter to a mafia boss and Lance the ADA that’s prosecuting her dad which makes for a sticky situation between them especially when they start their steamy time together. They both know it’s a bad situation to get involved with each other but can’t help themselves and they agree no talk of his work or her family when they're together....until a twist near the end because of a pretty dirty trick where one of them has to decide that family is most important. I loved this read and the reappearance of characters from previous books that leads up to next one. Trix is a woman not to be messed with, her strength, her smarts and her wit, makes me want to be like her. Then there’s Lance, who is a devoted father, smart, and witty as well, makes them perfect for each other. An amazing read not to be missed and I can’t wait for the next one. *I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
Genre: Romance - Mystery, Comedy, Single Dad, Organized Crime, Enemies-to Lovers Standalone: Yes (but even better if you read Pretty Little Thing first) Part of a Series: Yes - Book 2 (of 3) of the Rich Bitches Series POV: Trix and Lance Steam Level: Toasty 5/5
Pretty Dirty Trick is the second book in the Rich Bitches Series, focusing on Trix and Lance. While you don't necessarily need to read Pretty Little Thing (Nora and Clive's book) I'd highly recommend doing so as it makes the humor in this book even funnier. (I'd also recommend 2 In The Pink as well to see Max, his girlfriend and their "roommate" in action. Just go on a Tabatha Kiss binge read, you'll be happy you did). Pretty Dirty Trick is what I expected and just what I needed when deciding what book to read. The dialogue is witty and, at times, laugh out loud funny. It's sexy but not sex for the sake of sex. Tabatha Kiss does an excellent job in building not only the sexual tension between Trix and Lance, but also their budding relationship and how they navigate their conflicting roles. Pretty Dirty Trick is another winner by Tabatha Kiss and I cannot wait for Mel's book to come out!
I loved this book, in my Tabatha Kiss wrote very likable main characters. The secondary characters the ladies were humorous but had Trix's back. I loved that the ladies were back Trix, Nora and Melanie. Trix and Lance could not more different, he's assistant district attorney and she is a mafia princess. Yet when they come together there are fireworks. Trix is intelligent, sassy and loyal to a fault. Lance is intelligent, a single father and out to put Angelo Argento, Trix's father. I loved the banter between the friends and the struggle of with the family members. Tabatha Kiss drew me in from the start and kept my attention to the end. I felt Trix's struggle with her family and yet she stayed loyal. Her father is old school and thinks he can bully her into marriage. When that doesn't work things go downhill from there. You don't necessarily need to read Pretty Little Thing but I would highly recommend it. If you are a Tabatha Kiss fan, then in my opinion she did not disappoint. I received an ARC edition for my honest and voluntary review.
How Can Something So Bad Feel So Good! Whoa. I can honestly say I never expected the story I got. Pretty Dirty Trick is the story of mafia royalty Beatrix Argento and the sexy but totally off limits prosecutor Lance Tyler. Trix has always had a rebellious streak and lived for today while Tomorrow’s Trix dealt with the consequences. But, Lance is the absolute last guy she should have that rebellious experience with. The desire and fire between the two makes it hard to resist. Tabatha Kiss gives you everything in this story: laughs...so many laughs, sexy, steamy, and sweet. Pretty Dirty Trick is deliciously wicked, filthy, and highly entertaining! I loved every second, every minute. Kiss kept you on your toes with crazy unexpected twists, jaw dropping revelations and surprise crossovers with characters from some of her previous books. I hope the wait for Pretty Ever After isn’t too long because my fingers are itching for it already! I received a copy from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest and unbiased review.
Oh my.. This series.. Is just oh so freaking amazing. This book has the forbidden aspect. From when I read about trix and her attraction to the man who's the enemy of her family. How sizzling is this. The attraction between is them is so on fire. But how can two people who want to destroy each other and sneak each other's secrets can even be together. Lance was.. Just sigh... He's a gentleman, a man who's had responsibility on his shoulders from a very young age. Now he's worked his way and is on the way to becoming the state attorney but first he has to nab trix's family first. Trix also has to save her family and she can't let her attraction to this man who's trying to get her family in jail, affect her. Ahhhh😍😍... This book is such an enticing, forbidden yet a delicious affair. Also, reading this makes me want to read Robbie and Mel's story all over again. I just freaking love Tabatha's stories. Loved loved loved this one. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
A very entertaining read about a mafia princess and the lawyer trying to bring her family down.
We meet Trix Argento and I really thought she'd end up with Marcus in the first book but I'm happy with this new development. Enter Lance Tyler; an assistant state attorney who wants to put the nail in the Argentos' - specifically Trix's dad's - coffin.
It was business at first but turned to something more and it's no wonder I read this in one sitting.
Trix's story and her relationship with her family was revealed, and there's an unexpected tidbit about Lance that was surprising and character-building too.
I liked how Trix and Lance complemented each other and how both made the other realize more significant things.
They have chemistry and the side Story about Melanie's secret admirer was revealed and wasn't all that surprising. I can't wait for the next!
Another fantastic book from Tabatha Kiss! Her books never disappoint me. This is part of the Rich Bitches trilogy. I don't think you have to read book 1 to follow this- you wouldn't be totally lost, but it will definitely help if you read book 1 first just because of the interconnections of the stories between the 3 main women characters. I love that Trix is a strong female character & can take care of herself. Lance is so perfect for her too. I laughed thru some parts, even had a tear or two in a few places too. Just couldn't put it down, stayed up too late to finish too! This flowed well, was not predictable at all, didn't expect some of the things that did happen & love the main characters! Can't wait for book 3 to come out now since Robbie sounds hysterical, I think he's my favorite of the 3 men.
This book is such an enjoyable read that you will not be able to put down. Even though this is book two you don't have to read the first book first but I would suggest you do because all the main characters in that book are in this one. Trix's father is in jail because his brother cave in and made a deal so how would not spend the rest of his live behind bars. Lance Is the Prosecut lawyer who is trying to put Trix's father away. This is where this book really starts you will laugh out loud with some of the things that are going on in this book aand at other times your emotions will be all over the place. You are going to have to read this one because I will not tell you what happens because I don't won't to take your enjoyment away from you when you read this book. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
OMG, Trix and Lance, can a kindle melt or produce steam from just these two? Well it came pretty darn close to doing just that.
Trix is the only daughter of the mob that Lance is trying to put behind bars and clean up Chicago but its hard job to do when he is can’t keep away from the one person he should stay away from, ditto goes to Trix. But what fun would it be if they actually listen to common sense.
Trix is a smart, sassy person and with the strength that she gets from her friends, well there is no stopping her from what she wants. Lance, the hot lawyer is a surprise a minute and the more we found out about him the more we just swoon and have hearts in our eyes over this guy.
Great storyline. Once you start reading you won’t be able to stop.
The first book eluded to something with Trix and the prosecuting attorney, and boy am I glad it did! Trix wants nothing more than her father to be released from prison, but she knows the DA isn't going to let him off that easy. When she meets Lance for the first time, she starts hoping for the same! Fantasizing about the man wanting to send your dad up the river is forbidden, right! But that doesn't stop Trix and soon she's in too deep. Torn between her loyalties to the family and the way Lance makes her feel, something is going to have to give....but what?
Trix has got to be my favorite character so far in the series! So much sass and independence that you can't help but love her. Great storyline and funny characters. Can't wait to see what happens with Robbie and Mel in the next one!!
Such a good read! I love this series! Trix is a great h, and I love her and Lance together. They have great chemistry. Trix was going through a lot, and I loved that she stood up for herself, and didn't bend to the will of her family. I liked Lance, but I felt like shaking him towards the end. When Trix brings him her news, he reacted totally the wrong way. I liked that Trix's brothers came around, and made her feel like part of the family again. The only thing that would have made it better, was a longer look into their future. I know that I will get a glimpse in the next book, I'll just have to be patient :) I can't wait to read Mel and Robbie's story! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
As usual, I was already fascinated after reading the first few lines.
This is the perfect mix between a mafia crime story with enough thrilling and some really surprising twists to keep one on their toes, and a sweet and passionate and forbidden love story with awesome and very attracting and charming main characters and quite contrary side characters.
Trix and Lance… the conflicted situation they are in almost tore my heart to pieces. But I also loved their verbal combats.
And it was really nice to meet again those old acquainted characters!
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
This was a great story!! I loved it! It was great getting to know Trix better. I really liked Lance too. They are very attracted to each other once they meet and they just have that special spark but because of the situation that they find themselves in, it is not an easy decision for them to pursue it or stay away. I loved the intrigue that we got in this story with the characters. I loved Trix and Lance's banter back and forth. They are both quick-witted and it made for some great conversations. This story definitely kept me entertained and wanting to find out what was going to happen next and how things were going to work out. This was a fantastic story and I can't wait to get Melanie's and Robbie's story!!! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Trix, Melanie and Nora are three successful friends that come from different backgrounds. They have a standing brunch every Sunday and when they get together it's hysterical. This is the second book in the series. You could read it as a standalone for sure but it's much better after you've read Pretty Little Thing which is Nora's story. Pretty Dirty Trick is about Trix and I loved it. You really can't help who you fall for and Trix and Lance were more star-crossed than Romeo and Juliet but they worked. I would definitely recommend this book and look forward to Mel and Robbie finding their HEA.
This is the second book in this amazing series. Trix is the daughter of a mafia boss, and when he is in deep trouble with the authorities, she goes to see Lance who is the off limits attorney determined to keep her Father in prison. The attraction between these two has the sparks flying. I loved the witty banter throughout this story, which is filled with twists, and is a wicked and entertaining read. This is a well written story, which had me hooked and intrigued from the very beginning, and I cannot wait to read more of this talented authors’ work, and I recommend her work for all readers. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book for an honest review!
For most young ladies introducing a successful lawyer boyfriend to her family would be a good thing. But, When your the only daughter of a crime family and your Dad is facing a lengthy prison sentence, a law abiding boyfriend definitely isn't the man to fall for.
They both know they should stop it before it goes to far. If anyone saw them together, It would be putting both of their lives in danger.
But what's life without a little danger.
I voluntarily read & reviewed this Advance Reader Copy.
What an amazing read, Lance and Trix were perfect together. Since the previous book I couldn’t wait to know Trix’s story, and I absolutely loved it. She is like my dream best friend and still the same bada** I remembered her as. It was beautifully written, I loved the storyline and how sweet they were to each other at times especially the way Lance was with Haley. I would’ve loved to have known more about Trix’s though but still a very much loved book. I loved how sweet the ending was, I’m glad she finally got her happy ending
This is book 2 in the Rich Bitches series and it’s following Trix. Even though these books are standalones, one book for each friend, I highly recommend you read book one, Pretty Little Thing, following Nora, first – it will give you more towards the story as it gives hints to what went on in the first book, and the friendship the “Rich Bitches” share – plus it will have you laughing so hard – you won’t be sorry.
As usual with any book I read by Tabatha, I highly recommend this one – it has everything you need in it to make a book awesome. Now I’m waiting patiently for book 3…
Oh my gosh, I loved this second book in the Chicago Nights series- “Pretty Dirty Trick” by Tabatha Kiss. Trix and Lance’s story had me falling in love again with all the characters and how their lives intertwined. Trix’s mob family connection added an element of intrigue while the sweetness of Lance, single Dad, and Trix’s connection had me swooning from the start. Tabatha brings the heat to this enemies to lovers story. Once again, this Author writes a fantastic story that grabs you and keeps you coming back for more. Highly recommend! ~Angie❤️
