Ms. Sinclair is a local writer and Amazon best-selling fantasy author with books crossing into YA epic fantasy, NA Urban fantasy, paranormal romance, mystery, suspense, and Sci-fi genres.

Parker gives credit to the development of her imagination and passion for writing to multiple childhood destinations lacking indoor plumbing. It may sound odd, yet when your journey to adulthood consists of numerous backpacking, camping, and hiking trips to the most out-of-the-way and breathtakingly beautiful places in North America, the creation of games, worlds, and characters are the results. She would never trade the childhood her parents gave her, and she thanks them for raising her to have her own thoughts, dreams, and bountiful imagination. Oh and she wishes to thank them for teaching her that one should never leave their jeans on the floor of an everglades campground shower—lest they do the dance of the scorpions in the pants again!

While attending college, Ms. Sinclair studied biological sciences and psychology, specifically animal behavior, but her love has forever been to write. There are boxes in her house filled with notebooks, journals, and logs with poems, stories, lyrics, and personal rants scratched into them with pencil, marker, pen, whatever she could get her hands on. Words demanded to be thrown out of her mind and onto paper by any means necessary. Ms. Sinclair’s studies have contributed greatly to the worlds, characters, and stories she creates, proving that no matter what path you take, it will all be part of where you end up—sometimes in spectacular ways!

Since 2007, Ms. Sinclair calls Virginia Beach home where she is employed as a full-time writer, is a licensed educational counselor, and finds some of the best times to write late into the night after her kiddos, and in many cases, her husband, are fast asleep.

Truth: The Alex Connor Chronicles Book Two: A Supernatural Suspense and Paranormal Romance by Parker Sinclair is the second book in this series. I highly suggest that you read the first book before this one to help enrich your enjoyment of this series. I enjoy this author's series and each one of her books take me on a paranormal journey that is easy flowing and engaging. This story has quite a bit going on in it. The main character has come to realization that she can no longer deny who she is. Life is falling down around her. Her estranged mother has enlisted her help in finding her Healer father that she always thought was dead before she was born. If that is not enough, while she is training, her loved ones are facing some nasty horrors. So now the hunt for these evil people is on. Is her father really alive? Will her training be enough to provide safety? If all that is not enough, she is torn between two men. What will she do? Her character is strong, strong willed and determined. She knows what she needs to do but kind of lacks a little confidence. I enjoyed watching her fall for two men and her fight with that. The secondary characters in this story help bring this story together. They are connectable and just as lovable. They are support and help make this story flow. I highly recommend this book. Find out what happens next in the second book of this series.

Truth by Parker Sinclair a fascinating four-star read. This is the second book in the Alex Conner Chronicles and I would wholeheartedly recommend reading them in order as you would miss the development of the story, and it’s a great story to miss. You read the story and it seems that some points seem to lead to one plot line, but then boom all of a sudden something will click and you will end up putting these amazing little pieces of the books together and the story will just connect and make it so that you can’t put it down. Alex has some great character flaws and a depth to her that will make you love her even more, she comes with her own band of merry folk that will make you chuckle, this story is a great example of the genre. Go get the series you won’t be disappointed.

This is book 2 in the Alex Conner Chronicles

Alex can no longer deny her heritage and responsibilities as an Earthern Protector. Her mother, whom she has not had contact with in quite some time, enlists her help in finding Alex's father, who she never met and thought was dead. While awaiting the summons from her mother, Alex continues her training with her grandmother's friend, Dana, the Mistress of Weaponry and Potions. She uses this training as an excuse to ignore Ryan, who she can't help but feel betrayed her by not telling her the truth about certain rules the Counsel has in place.

While training, she rekindles her relationship with Justin. Things are different between Alex and Justin this time. She feels all consumed by their relationship and that things are as they should be with him. She still can't tell him that she loves him, but she feels more connected to him than ever.

Alex's focus remains on her training in order to help find her father, but also hunt down her stepbrother, Greg, who was the one responsible for all of Alex's tormented nightmares. She wants to make Greg pay for the hell her put her through.

While she waits and trains with Dana, her friends are facing horrors she can't even imagine. All this leaves her torn. She feels like she should be there for her friends as they face threats not knowing the reasons why. However, she feels that if she is away from them, then they won't be in danger.

Alex has a lot to face: the realization her father is still alive, the hunt for Greg to make him pay for all he has done, the danger her friends face because of her and the feelings she has for two men.

Again Alex's story drew me in from the start. She continues on her journey, discovering her strength and abilities along the way. I enjoyed it so much and can't wait to see where her adventure takes her next. There is yet another cliff hanger in this book.

This is book two in the series and I recommend reading book one first. In my opinion it sets the course for book two and book two begins right after book one ends. Alex can no longer deny that she is an earthen protector and earthen healer. She is coming into her full power and you can see it! In this book Alex aides her estranged mother in the search to find her father the one she thought was dead. There is a bit of a love triangle in this one where Alex doesn't want to deny her feelings for Ryan and Justin the council however has said her and Ryan can never be together and that it will never be allowed. She has also been taken under the wing of Dana to began formal weapons training. I really like vex the fox. I guess I think it's cool to have a talking fox. There is a lot going on in this book. I feel like the writing is good and the characters are easy to like. The book flows well and it's easy to follow. It's an exciting and thrilling paranormal Adventure. There is also a huge cliffhanger at the end. It is a unique and creative series. And again unlike anything I have read. I would rate it 4 stars. I think the author has a lot of promise and will continue to do great things.

“Taking in the landscape around me, I’m mesmerized by the colors in the sky. The blues, purples, pinks, and reds look like watercolors, swirling amongst traces of clouds as the sun begins to set. The desert, though the plan life is primarily muted in color and stunted in growth, is still vibrant against the red, sandy dirt. Tall cylinder saguaro cacti reach into the night sky like long fingers escaping the earth, reaching helplessly for the stars.”

I had to start off my review of this book with the vivid description of the Arizona dessert that this author brings to life in this book. Most of the book is written in such a colorful and vivid way that you feel as if you are immersing yourself into the world with every word you read. I found that to be a great strength for me in this novel, and a lot of what kept me reading when I was feeling a bit bored. Which unfortunately I did find myself lingering towards that notion of boredom a few times throughout the book, and the only reason for my four-star rating. Otherwise I overall enjoyed the book and characterizations that play around between the pages of Truth.

Truth is the second book in the Alex Conner Chronicles. It is best to read book one, Trust, before you read this or you may find yourself quite confused at portions of the book.

We pick up on Alex’s story, and the cliffhanger in book one, finding her unable to deny her obligations to her heritage as an Earthern Protector. She has been focused on her training with her grandmother’s friend, The Mistress of Weaponry and Potions, Dana. They are working hard to hone her skills to keep her protected in the search for her long thought dead father. Along the way Alex struggles with knowing her friends are in grave danger and she can’t do anything to protect them other than to stay away. She also grapples with her love for two men, and the ability to figure out where her heart truly belongs. Overall, she faces a lot of new adventures and struggles in this installment of her journey. We get the same beautiful journal writings to see things through Alex’s eyes herself not just as reading it in the book sense. I enjoyed that part of the way the author brings Alex to life once more in this book.

I will warn this book does end on another cliffhanger and you will want to run and grab the next installment to figure out what is to come next for Alex in her journey through this complicated life she is still getting used to herself. I also wanted to include the opening quotation from the book, because I felt it really hits on a lot of things that are brought up for Alex in this book.

“Men plan, God laughs for choices we must bear,
For time does a man make, decisions wear and tear.
Stand tall and straight and face the wind,
You’re built with more than blood and sin,
You’re built with more than bone and skin,
Your lessons learned are built within,
And I will stand with you and face the wind,
Two men made by time and more.

Truth is the second book in the Alex Conner Chronicles by author Parker Sinclair. I strongly recommend reading the first book in this series as this is not a standalone novel. This story picks up where Trust left off, our heroine Alex is training with the weapons and potions master, Dana, in an effort to ready herself to find her nemesis, the one who had her tortured and tried to resurrect his father. Alex needs to strengthen herself for what is coming. Reuniting with her mother, looking for the father she long thought was dead, dealing with a demon who holds a contract with her and choosing between two men is only the tip of the iceberg in this sci-fi fantasy romance. The author keeps you guessing until the very end and then she ends it with a bang…and a cliffhanger!
This series just keeps getting better and better as I turn pages. Ms. Sinclair builds quite the story, when you think you might have it all figured out she flips things. Alex is a strong female character who has certainly grown from the first installment, she is a fighter yet still cares about those in her life that are important to her. There are so many secondary characters that at times it’s hard to keep track of them but they are all integral to the story. I love this series so far, I can’t even be upset that there’s a cliffhanger, I am just looking forward to reading the next book in this series because I really want to know what’s going to happen next in Alex’s world.

a great read about accepting responsibilities. after the events of the previous novel, Alex has to setp up into her role as an Earthen Protector. with the help of Dana, she learns to harness her powers to defend herself and those around her if her father returns to haunt her. whilst training in the desert, she meets the mysterious but attractive Jason and struggles with her feelings as dangers arise. when events escalate, will Alex be able to protect her family or will tragedy strike again?
a great read. well developed plot. well developed characters such as the yoda figure of Dana teaching her about her powers in strength but a caring nature underneath or Alex struggling with feelings and memories whilst trying to protect the ones she loves. I was unsure about the journal entries at first, but they worked well and didn't distract from the narrative of the present. I adored the visual detail throughout, particularly in the vivid colours of the desert sky and the fireballs against them. I also loved the feel that you were actually there, with the addition of cacti and desert plants and the hot humid atmosphere of the place. the dreams with Jason were beautiful in the inescapable glass house and the colourful trees and flowers. the small details of the reoccurring dandelions for her grandmother was a sweet touch and the attention to small petal details was beautiful, and its use to remember her grandmother was emotive. overall, a great read and I would give it four stars.

Trust by Parker Sinclair is the second book in her Alex Conner Chronicles and what a great addition to this series. Following the story of Alex and her fight, with a mix of urban fantasy, sci-fi, suspense and romance this book really covers all of the genres to get anyone's blood flowing. The rawness of Alex was shown in how deep Sinclair went into psyche and developed her character so well that I felt like I was in the same room with this woman several times. Throughout this entire series Sinclair has created an amazing storyline, with deep characters that are both tough bad asses that are also soft and real. The powers that Alex has from book 1, continue to grow and she will have to rely on those around her even more to make sure that she can control them and continue to fight. The connections between book 1 and 2 were made so well that I felt like I didn't end the first book at all but only took a reading break. With Demons, Fae, Time Traveling and extra hot male counterparts - Justin and Ryan - it is without a doubt that this book brings so much that I couldn't put it down for the life of me. I can't wait to see where this series goes. If you are looking to get out of your reading comfort zone (like I did) or just really like the urban fantasy sci-fi genre this is a series, nah an author, that you need to get onto now. You will not be disappointed in this series at all.

Truth is the second book in The Alex Conner Chronicles. I recommend reading the first book before you read this one. Truth ends in a cliffhanger, so you will want to pick up the next book to continue the story.

The first book was like reading two books at once because it switched back and forth between past and present. It felt a bit choppy, but there is more fluidity in Truth. There is still the back and forth between past and present, but it seems to flow better. I actually liked Truth more than the first book, which was pretty good, the story has more twists and turns.

Alex is finally embracing the less-than-normal parts of her life. She is learning about how to control her powers and what she is actually capable of. Even though she has been encouraged to let go of her relationship with Justin, she holds on to him in an effort to keep a balance between the magic life and the human life she wants to lead. Lately though, it seems like something has been off with him.

But, her suspicions about Justin aren’t the only thing she has to worry about, there is a rising threat and somehow it is tied Alex’s past. Alex is forced to face Ryan after abruptly severing their connection previously. Being in close proximity to him again is causing feelings to reoccur and causing a distraction they can’t afford. They both need to be focused in order to face what is coming.

Truth is the second book in the Alex Conner series by Parker Sinclair.

It was a good story and I would say there are a couple steamy scenes that make for an interesting read on the train! I went into the story an adamant Ryan fan and wasn’t too happy with Justin being back in the romantic picture again. This book does not disappoint on storyline-it’s always got you on your toes!

There are quite a few “flashback” scenes of Alex’s life that starts to tell a story on their own, they also play a factor into what happens in the book. I will admit that at first it put me off and it took me a little while to get my head around it. Once I was able to clear my head and persevere I was quite pleased with the “fillers” and think they were a huge necessity.

The characters are growing/developing very well and Alex is becoming a more kick butt version of herself. Her inner circle does stay strong and their power/uses are proving to be invaluable. We also see an introduction of a few new characters and I definitely count Valant as a personal favourite!

The ending does leave me wanting to know more so the author does a great job at storytelling! This is a good read whether you are reading at home, commuting to work or away on holiday, it’s quick, sarcastic and quick witted-thoroughly entertaining.

Parker Sinclair is a great writer of fantasy. Her stories are so imaginative. This book is labeled #2 for a reason. If you do not read the first story you will have no idea what is actually going on. With that said, this book is such an interesting ride. Good magic is again fighting for total control against evil magic. And sometimes everything is not as it seems. Something dark and sinister in behind everything that happens.

Alexis, who also goes by Lexi and Eila, is our main character and was put through so much in book 1 that I am really hoping for a happier ending with this book. But it seems that Sinclair likes to make things a little trickier for Alexis than most main characters.

Justin and Ryan are back and it is just as hard to decide which one Lexi should choose. Each one is hiding something, each one brings out the best in Lexi. Only time will tell what the Truth actually is. There are so many secrets and half-truths throughout the story. At times I just wanted to yell “Enough! Lexi needs a break!” But then something else comes along and Lexi is right back battling away.

I definitely recommend this book, as long as you start with book one.

Truth: Alex Conner Chronicles by Parker Sinclair carries on with Alex now knowing about her powers but trying to master her skills but also still not quite coming to terms with her feelings for Justin.

Alex is now training with her grandmother's friend, Dana, whilst honing her skills she is spending more time with Justin, as she goes through this tough regime her feelings for him increases but she is not quite ready to admit that just yet to him.

While Alex is struggling with all that her mother has asked of her, the quest to find her father who Alex has always thought dead. This also puts her friends in danger so Alex is torn to help find the evil people after her friends, while also looking for her father.

This is a great story and will have you gripped in the story. I have loved the character of Alex from the first book and you can see how she has matured into her character role now through this book.

This is not the first book I have read by this author and I love the style and flow of the books. I can't wait for the next book in this series.

Truth
By Parker Sinclair
4 stars

After reading and enjoying book 1 in this series I was really looking forward to this one and seeing what happens next in Alex’s story. I personally think it is best to read book 1 first so as to fully understand the story and what is going on. The author took me on an action packed ride with Alex and her mother as they search for her father. I love that Alex has accepted who she really is now and is going from strength to strength with her newfound life. This book is full of magical twists and turns and I really enjoyed it. There was a nice bit of romance thrown into this book too!! I really liked the secondary characters again in this book and it was nice to see characters from book 1 appear again. The author leaves us on a cliff-hanger so I definitely can’t wait to read book 3!! I’m usually not really a fan of fantasy books but these ones have really captured my attention!

Truth is an urban fantasy by Parker Sinclair and the second book in the Alex Conner Chronicles (make sure to read book one Trust first as this book picks up where the first leaves off). This book is an action packed roller coaster ride that will keep you glued to the book until the very end and leave you begging for a copy of the next installment! Alex is sent to train with Dana a weapon and potion master so she can strengthen her powers, she also finds out her father is still alive and she needs to find him but there is danger at every turn. Will Alex’s powers be enough to keep herself and her loved ones safe? I really enjoyed this book, the story line picks up seamlessly from the ending of the first book, there is great character development and two swoon worthy men capturing Alex’s attention. If you love fantasy, paranormal or are just looking for an exciting read then this series is for you!

I give Truth: The Alex Conner Chronicles Book Two: A Supernatural Suspense & Paranormal Romance by Parker Sinclair, 5 stars.
*This review may contain spoilers from book one*

Now that Alex knows what she is, she is training hard. And it is paying off too. But why she can't she seem to get her heart straight? While she is coming to terms with what she is and battling her heart, another evil is threatening her and those she loves. Not to mention the others that are being attacked. Can her and her friends fight this battle? Will they win?

This is a great series. I could not put this book down until I was done. I lost sleep over it -- that is the highest honor I can give. Well written and exciting, the story is wonderful and the writing is superb. I love the characters, they are very realistic. You will get pulled in this wild ride, and you will go willingly. I highly recommend this book to lovers of the supernatural, action, and/or romance.

Truth (Alex Conner Chronicles, #2) by Parker Sinclair was just as good as the first book, not it was better.

Picking up almost right were the last book ended, we are once again tossed back into this magical world full of twist turns, and excepting ones self and fate.

As with the first book, the writing is one point, the world building is outstanding and the characters are well rounded and believable.

I was hooked as I was with the first book, and pretty read this book in one setting, it did take me a few minutes to get into as it's been a while since the first book, but no worried, that same momentum is still there along with all the things I loved about the first book.

This is truly becoming one of favourite series. I highly recommend you get your hands on this gem, you will not be disappointed I can't wait for the next book.

Happy Reading.

This was a really exciting read! I loved the use of the first person from Alex's perspective and how she would informally address the reader and direct questions and statements to the reader. I liked this because it brought the reader into the story more, the informality added humour and it allowed the reader to gain a better understanding of Alex's character. I also liked the jumps back to diary entries as this, again, allowed a better understanding of the story. I thought that the secondary characters were also really well developed and even though I haven't read the first book in the series, I was able to keep up with the story because of the level of description throughout. Overall, this is a really good read; it includes a lot of action and even romance which are blended really well together!

Truth by Parker Sinclair is Book 2 in her Alex Connor Chronicles. This book follows on from book one and should be read in order.
Following Alex again we see her accepting her heritage and starting on her training. Wit her mother suddenly back in her life and the possibility that her father is alive nothing is simple.
Those around her seem to be involved in tough times and Alex is relying on her training being able to help. And just to add even more complications Alex finds herself torn between two men.

I won’t delve too deep into the plot of this story as I really do think you need to read book one first and I don’t want to inadvertently give something away. I found the writing style to be fast paced and engaging. Alex was just as interesting to read about and made for a good character. A great follow up to book one.

Truth By Parker Sinclair

5 Stars!!!!!

I wasn't disappointed with this second book in the Alex Conner Chronicles. It is well written and has such a complex character structure and plotline. I absolutely love paranormal books and this just was my cup of tea! The author has a very unique writing style and it just gets you glued to the pages. I couldn't put this book down.

The complex triangle between Alex, Justin and Ryan really had me hooked. The added suspense and mystery about her mom and dad just add more and more to this already engaging book. I really cannot wait to read more of this series to see how the story unfolds and what mysteries will be uncovered and solved and what more will happen to Alex. This series is just absolutely enthralling!

Truth, Alex Conner Chronicles by Parker Sinclair is the second book in series and a fab continuation from the first book, where Alex and her fight continues. This series crosses a mixture of genres such as, urban fantasy and fantasy, magic and romance. This book is action packed from the word go and Parker’s storyline will keep you pumped as we watch our sassy and strong heroine kick some butt whilst coming face to face with demons and Fae and magic users of all kinds. But who can she really trust? Are her feelings truly hers or is there something else at play? This book ends on a huge cliffhanger that makes you cry out in frustration as you wait for the next book. If you are looking for an urban fantasy, fantasy and magical read, then this is the series.

Ok so I'm from SD so love that I know the areas mentioned in the book and within the first 2-3 chapters draws you in and Parker is super funny and engaging but a few chapters here and there was about confusion because it goes back in time but once you catch it is should a good book. And of course there is a slight love triangle going on so you get to pick and root for a guy (not sure who I'm going for just yet 😉) Overall I did give this book 5 Stars and I have started the second book, it did give me a bit of deja vi feeling but I kindof love that. Excited to get continue the store and (spoiler alert!!) Find out how her training g goes and what's going on with her mother

Having read the first book, I was looking forward to this one! I would say it can be read stand alone, but you will get so much more out of it by reading the series in order:) There is so much involved in Alex’s world, her fight...details so intricately woven together..all these little parts that make the bigger picture. Love how her story has unfolded! It’s super engaging, and vivid in detail! Fantasy, action, adventure, romance...this series has it all and this book continues the great adventure perfectly! Can’t wait to see what’s next!

Just when I think I can anticipate what Alex might face next, the story takes a left turn. Just an excellent read. Couldn’t put it down before finishing the last page.

Truth by Parker Sinclair is the second book in The Alex Conner Chronicles. Alex Conner is back and this time she can no longer put off the inevitable. She can no longer deny that she is an Earthen Protector. Alex has been enlisted by her estranged mother to help find her father, who, up until this point, she thought was dead. Sent to train with her grandmothers eccentric friend Dana, the Mistress of Weaponry and Potions, her friends and loved ones are left behind to face unspeakable horrors.
Alex and her powerful group of companions must confront danger head on as they set out to find those responsible. Along this journey, Alex’s feelings for two men, pull her in different directions, making it harder to concentrate on the danger that lies ahead. Innocent Healers are being targeted and Alex is determined to find out the culprit behind these attacks, but also help her mother find her father, I man she has always wondered about. Is her father really alive? Will her gang be able to find the horrible person behind these terrible tragedies?
This book has mystery, humor, and a suspenseful story line. I love that it expands on some of the other characters from the first book. Its fast paced but doesn’t lose you on what’s going on. It has romance but it’s only part of the story, there is so much more then that. There is danger, thrill of the unknown, and suspense that will keep you flipping from page to page just to find out what happens next. Parker Sinclair did an amazing job on this book and I can’t wait to read more.

Soon after Alex is devastated by discovering her and Ryan have no future due to a stupid Council rule, she finds herself in the desert. With a knack of finding herself in sticky situations Dana, a beloved friend of Alex’s grandmother, has taken Alex under her wing to teach her formal weapon and combat training. Truth is the second book in the Alex Conner Chronicles. This book shows the evolution of Alex as more confident and powerful healer and protector. Parker Sinclair is able to capture the emotions and intensity of her characters in a beautiful way. Alex and her friends are so relatable that makes me wish I had friends like that. I can’t wait to see what is in store for Alex next.

Truth is the second book in the Alex Connor Chronicles, by Parker Sinclair. The story takes up from where Trust (Book One) left off. Truth is an impressive combination of paranormal/urban fantasy and action adventure- with a thread of mystery and romance through the storyline.
If you haven’t read Trust (Book One) yet, I would really recommend that you do, as it lays the foundation to this book- the backstory and characters, and is pertinent to fully appreciating this story.
We met Alex Connor in the first book- she is a 26 year old party planner and part owner of an Event Planning business. In this book Alex has left her business in the hands of her business partner and friends- so she can hone her powers, to help her estranged mother to find her father; who everyone had thought died before Alex was born. Powers you ask? Alex has Goddess like powers of ‘Earthen Energy’- she is the most powerful of her kind, being both ‘Earthen Protector’ and ‘Earthen Healer’.
Alex spent the last year being tormented by night terrors and psychological attacks, inflicted on her by her psychotic and evil foster brother- with the help of a powerful demon.
Having discovered the source of her torment and facing-off against him and his Demon cohort in the previous book- Alex is now free from his nightly torture. Unfortunately he was able to escape and has since vanished. Alex is worried that he hasn’t finished with her yet.
As in the first book, Alex has a bit of a love triangle going on with two very hunky men. She is drawn to both of them and can’t seem to let either one go.
Justin is safe, truthful, reliable, pure and loving. Alex trusts him completely. There is an undeniable energy between them. But he doesn’t know about Alex’s secret, would he still feel the same about her if he were to find out?
Ryan is a powerful Earthen Protector, who has saved Alex a couple of times already. He makes her go weak in the knees- her whole body buzzing with excitement whenever he is near. They both feel the spark that ignites into a bonfire, whenever they touch. But after he withheld vital information, Alex is unsure if she can ever trust him again- Especially when it comes to her heart.
Sinister forces begin to wreak havoc in Alex’s life, endangering not only her life, but also those of her loved ones. What can Alex and her small group of friends do against such formidable odds. They are battling in a war of Good-versus-Evil, and losing is not an option.
This book certainly captured my attention and fired my imagination. I really liked the first book, but Ms. Sinclair has taken this book to a whole new level!
The interplay between characters and the construction of the storyline is so much more developed and detailed. There was also a lot more romance and erotic moments in this story- in comparison to the first.
If I have any complaints, it is that I was left wanting MORE! I didn’t want the book to end- I couldn’t swipe the pages quickly enough- I was so ravenous to discover what Ms. Sinclair had in store for me.
This book flowed well and I was able to read it in one sitting. It ends on a major cliff hanger- that had me on the edge of my seat. I really, really can’t wait to read book 3 to find out how Ms. Sinclair resolves the cliff hanger and story.
A “Slam Dunk” for Ms. Sinclair- once again producing a fantastic book, in a wonderful series.

Alex is back with her assorted entourage. She's been training with Dana so that she can continue her fight. Her friends in San Diego have been holding down the fort with her business. She's ignoring Ryan the best that she can while trying to rebuild her relationship with Justin. Life is crazy while she's waiting for her mom to give her more information about her dad.

I like the second book to the series as much as the first one. There are a lot of plot points which seem to be separate but which end up connecting together and making the story even more nuanced. The layers in the story are great. I really like what Parker Sinclair is doing with the story. It's a good urban fantasy story with a nice punch of adventure and intrigue. There's enough of a hint of romance to keep romance lovers happy too. It's a pretty good all-around story that will make all kinds of genre readers happy. It's well-written and well-thought out.

Life is a tornado for Alex Connor as we continue where we left off in book one. Now she is training hard for a fight that will test her strength and will. This book has everything in it. A weird love triangle and some interesting guys. Alex reunites with her mother and now is looking for her dad.
I have been pulling for Justin since book one hoping that she would pick him. I would’ve never guess the twist she throws at us in this book. Ryan doesn’t do it for me so I’m hoping that he cast some spell on her. Lol!
You get so much from these books that you don’t want to put them down or wait for the next book. I love the mystery and all the magic the author wrote. I also enjoyed how Alex could be sweet or spicy. The different powers and possibilities the author gives us just sucks you in.
I don’t really like love triangles because someone always gets hurt and this book is clearly no different. It’s not that hard to pick one guy. But we wouldn’t be reading if we didn’t enjoy a little drama.
