THE GODDESS BLESSES US EACH WITH ONE TRUE PAIRING TO FULFILL US, LOVE US, SAVE US.
I am already a huge fan of this author under a different pen name, and as Everleigh Clark, she did not disappoint. Things I come to expect in her stories include some mystery, suspense, angst, playfulness and that wonderful quirkiness in her characters. She definitely included those traits in her new paranormal shifter series, along with acceptance of who her character is, and embracing that part of herself. As a series junkie, I am especially happy to see that this is part of a series but will read as a stand-alone. While the story ends nicely, it is also an intro to the next story in the series.
Isabella Werner is wolf shifter, princess, vegetarian, and now prisoner by a sick man who is experimenting on shifters. Caleb Alexander, a bear shifter is running from a haunted past, and working undercover at a facility in Kentucky that has imprisoned shifters and testing on them. He is only supposed to be getting information so they can take this location down. But that is all going to change because his bear is calling ‘mate’ to a special wolf, Izzy.
The plot of the story will have Caleb working undercover as a guard in a facility run by a man known as Bossman, with a Doc, Frankie. They will take blood from the shifters, and injected them with chemicals and play haunting music during their experiments. Caleb can’t allow them to continue and orchestrates his own rescue of Izzy making it look like she overpowered another guard to escape. He will get her away from there while she is drugged up and back to Bear Paw River.
“Have you guys met Caleb? My knight in furry armor?”
These two are fighting their attraction and the mating call. Caleb is haunted by what he remembers of the past and Izzy is fighting for freedom from her clan and responsibilities. One more attempt to run away will have Izzy back in the hands of her tormentors, but this time things will be different. She isn’t the only one captured, and now several shifters lives are in peril.
The story will take on life and death scenarios at the prison lab that has been a torture chamber for Izzy and other shifters. Will they be able to get out alive and rescue the shifters held captive? What will come of Caleb and Izzy for the future? Will her wolf recognize Caleb’s bear as it’s true mate? Will they be able to work as a team to rescue shifters from different areas of the country?
“I’m in charge of this new team. You must defer to my authority, even if you don’t agree. I’ll take into account your wisdom and experience. And I will ask your opinion for big choices. But, you will not put yourself in any danger, you will follow my orders when I give them, and you’ll let me know when you’re ready to settle down and have young.”

The story is a roller-coaster ride with many twists and turns, solving one mystery and lead into another. It has a great cast of characters, plenty of intense moments, learning experiences, accepting responsibilities, new beginnings, and new relationships. Several intimate scenes are somewhat explicit.
I am excited about the next addition to this series, which will be Sam’s story. She is a cousin to Caleb, Nissa, and Bo. Her story will be called, “A Lion, Tiger, and Her Bear, Oh My.”

This is a exciting, engaging, action packed and emotional romantic adventure filled with passion, danger, intrigue and just the right twist of magic. They are desperate to save shifters but at what cost?
Caleb Alexander is a shifter that is dangerous, sexy and protective as all get out specifically of his new found mate. His job is simple. Get the information so they can take down the villains testing on shifters. Then all heck breaks loose when he realizes one of the prisoners being held is his mate Isabella Werner. Loved this thrilling adventure and now I can't fight the need to read books 1 & 2 to catch up.

I am a sucker for shifter books and I enjoyed that there was inter-species pairings in this one. There is an organization of men that are rounding up shifters to experiment on them and Isabella (a royal wolf shifter) gets caught up in their clutches. Caleb is a bear shifter working undercover to rescue the abused shifters. When he is ordered to assist Isabella, Caleb's wolf recognizes Izzy and her wolf as their mate and he will do anything to keep her safe. This story brought me through a range of emotions and there are times that you will laugh out loud and some of the antics. I really enjoyed reading this story and now need to read books 1 and 2 to catch up.

Caleb is a bear fleeing his own demons. Izzy is a wolf escaping her gilded cage. Together they have to escape a waking nightmare. I really enjoyed t this book. It’s filled with action, drama, steamy heat, and enough geeky pop culture references and quotes to send me into a nerd-gasm. For that reason alone, these two might be my favorite pair in Bear Paw River. And now I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book. I’ve been looking forward to Sam’s story since we were first introduced to her.

Book 3 in the series is Isabella and Caleb's story. Each book just gets better and better. Both have demons they need to take care of but will they be able to do that? I loved the story!

In my opinion, this is the best book yet in this series. We've had hints and mentions of Caleb and Izzy in the previous books. But this story is uniquely Everleigh Clark and her fantastic ability to focus on these two. Izzy's her own person. That is, until Bossman gets his hands on her. Then her life is upended in ways even her wildest nightmares could never imagine. She may be a royal with extraordinary abilities, but nothing could prepare for the most malevolent evil in existence. Caleb is so damaged, weighed down by his guilt over the past, he can barely function. In his mind, he only exists to redeem himself in any way possible. But all that changes when he finds Izzy. Only Izzy's not his salvation. How could he, and his bear, be so wrong? These two seesaw back and forth between intense chemistry to anger, pain, and treachery. While Izzy and Caleb are the heart and soul of this story, Everleigh Clark has also woven the supporting characters, Ida, Sam, Bo, Jane, Stone, the other family and friends, into the story so intimately that the story simply wouldn't be so extraordinary without them. This book is beyond impressive! I adored it! Five stars hardly seems enough for this book! Congratulations, Ms. Clark, on yet an incredible book in this remarkable series!
A final note. Be an informed reader! This is an ADULT book. It contains explicit language and sexual scenes. If you don't enjoy this genre, this may not be the book for you. Bearly Rescued gets reader hearts pumping with adrenaline right off the bat as Isabella finds herself in hot water and nowhere to run and the thrills don’t stop there as daring rescues and surprising twists keep readers on their toes. Isabella and Caleb are strong characters with delightfully electric chemistry that has heat sizzling from every page but this romance isn’t a forgone conclusion due to emotional and miscommunication issues that adds depth to the characters and pulls reader into their grasp as they strive for that happily ever after.
This is the 1st book that I have read by Everleigh Clark and I was pleasingly surprised as her world is full of suspense and fascinating characters such as Isabella and Caleb who charmed me from beginning to end and I am looking forward to reading more books by this author.

Bearly Rescued, the third story in the Mates of Bear Paw River series is full of fast action, sexy moments, danger, vile villains and a geek’s playground of pop culture jokes, sayings and quotes. What’s not to love about all of that? Toss in a guilt ridden almost alpha and a will not be caged runaway royal and you’ve just handed me my kind of story.
I loved Izzy and Caleb together. They’re just enough damaged by their pasts to make for an interesting mix. Izzy is in the wrong place at the wrong time and that sets up her misadventures and finding her mate, well, if she was in the market for a mate but she wasn’t… or so she told herself. Caleb is willing to do anything to make up for what he believed were his past mistakes – even infiltrate the compound of one nasty bossman and his totally crazed scientists. What he didn’t expect to find was his mate – now he has to rescue them both before things get totally out of hand – and they will.
I always enjoy catching up with the previous couples and secondary characters in any series. The threads woven through this series hold firm and perhaps even branch out a bit more, and I’m loving it.
If you love fast paced action, a mated couple who are trying too hard to deny that pull, vile and nasty villains and a complete sense of pack and community – then you’ll love Bearly Rescued. You really need to be wrapped up in this story for yourself, but what a great story it is. I’d highly recommend Bearly Rescued and this entire series to any Paranormal Romance or Shifter Romance reader. I’m already on pins and needles for Sam’s story, it can’t release soon enough for me.

I haven't read a shifter book in a while and honestly this was the perfect book to spark my interest in this genre again! This is the first book by Everleigh Clark that I have read and with a little research see that Bearly Rescued is part of a shifter series that is now on my TBR list.
Isabella and Caleb are a couple that will teach you patience. Not really sure how the other stories go but these two are not falling into bed from the get go, and not because Caleb doesn't want to. I enjoyed how they were able to slowly get together...not that they were given much choice.
Isabella is a strong female character, most which has to do with the fact that she is royalty. She isn't taking any of her circumstances laying down. She really seems to fight it the whole way.
Caleb, an alpha, really just wants to take care of and claim his mate while holding up his responsibilities with the team he works with, finding other shifters who are being affected by this scientific mob.
I think what really got me in this story was the plot. There is more to this story than just a bear wanting to claim his mate. This shifter team has a purpose, to protect their kind and to stop the kidnapping.
There will be no disappointment when the two of the do finally get together. Just in case that is your favorite part.
Truly enjoyed this series and have plans to go back to read the previous two books in this series all while impatiently waiting for Sam's story.

Can They Find A Way to a HEA For Them?

This is a fantastic paranormal by Everleigh Clark is wonderful to read. I love many genres of books and paranormal with bear shifters is one of my favourite. This is so well written with a fabulous storyline, and spectacular characters such as Caleb who is gorgeous and Izzy who is a strong, feisty young woman/wolf shifter that have so much chemistry between them that it's off the charts. With plenty of red hot, steamy scenes that you'll need a fan handy to cool yourself down and the passion between them sizzles throughout the story. So many secrets and such a powerful enemy. Can they find a way to be together for ever? This is book 3 of the Mates of Bear Paw River and is my personal favourite although the others are wonderful too. This can be read as a standalone quite happily although, I think it's better reading them all in order. Enjoy!!! The story jumps us into what seems like the middle of a story. Our lovely wolf shifter, Isabella, is in Bolivia, photographing wild life (hee). Then she smells another shifter, a tapir. Then she&;s drugged and knocked out. When she wakes, she;s in a prison cell and she;s being experimented on. Caleb, is a bear shifter, who;s infiltrated a network intent on destroying shifters. The organization is suspected of kidnapping shifters and using them in their experiments.Caleb is totally caught off guard and surprised when he discovers that the woman he is carrying back to the cell is his mate! Now he has a big problem: does he protect and rescue his mate, or carry on trying to do his job as an infiltrator. When he makes his decision to rescue her, since his DNA and his bear remind him his job is to care and protect his mate, his path and Isabella's is set on a course that will change their lives and others around them too.

Izzy and Caleb
Caleb is a bear shifter and Bo and Nissa's brother. He was supposed to be the alpha of their pack but ran away because of a few incidents that he feels guilty about. He s now working undercover in a facility that is kidnapping shifters and experimenting on them.
Izzy is the sister to Zach and is a royal wolf shifter. She left home a year ago to get freedom from living in her family's compound. Zach thought she had been missing this whole time. She has now been captured by humans and placed in a cell for the last two or three weeks. They are taking blood, beating her, playing classical music and drugging her. They also gave her something to suppress her wolf.
This is a difficult time for Caleb to find his mate. He struggles with staying undercover and watching her be hurt or escaping with her but leaving others shifters behind.
I have read all of the Bear Paw River books and likes them. Looking forward to Sam's story.

Bearly Rescued by Everleigh Clark is book Three in "The Mates of Bear Paw River". This is the story of Caleb Alexander and Isabella Werner. I have read the other books in this series but feel this is easily a standalone book.
Caleb is undercover trying to get information and help save shifters that have been taken and used for testing and experimented on. While there Isabella is brought in and Caleb feels that she is his life mate. But he trying to keep his cover but when he can't stand her being hurt anymore he takes her a leaves. Isabella isn't as sure about a mate but she does want to take care of the people that are using them as 'test rats' and she wants to help free the others.
This was a good story but for some reason I didn't make a connection to the characters as I usually do in Ms. Clarks books. But overall though it was a good story.

I really enjoyed reading this book, it was good to finally read what happened to Isabella after reading books one and two. There is a few twists and turns in this book
Isabella is a wolf shifter - hiking through Boliva , when she comes across another shifter running from, but sadly she herself gets captured and ends up in a cell, repeately beaten and her blood taken for testing and more.
Calab is a grizzly bear , undercover, he doesnt like what hes doing but must keep on doing it in order to try and save other shifters, and find out who is behind all of this. Then he spots Isabella and his bear knows she is his mate, and he must save her before the others. Then things go pear shaped and its Isabellas turn to rescue him.
This book really isnt to be missed, i loved reading every page of the book.

Isabella, sorry but I think of her as Izzy.....she starts off as a vegan pacifist who just wants to be free. Imagine her surprise when she falls into the hands of some very bad humans!! I mean real whack jobs!!! I loved her inner monologues, which often became outer ones, cracked me up....I have filter issues as well!! The stuff she endured, quite a change for a sheltered Shifter Princess, but I loved how she grew stronger and more self aware.
Caleb, man he just needed his hiney kicked, he wallowed in the past way too much!!! Izzy was definitely what this grumpy, funny and amazing Alpha needed!!
The story was twisty, turny and a perfect bit of paranormal perfection.......think this was amazing. The darker parts were just right for the story and we better get more. I need a story for a certain cousin and also a tiger shifter!!!!

Isabella is a wolf shifting princess and she is being held prisoner by a man who is experimenting on Shifters. Caleb is a bear shifter who is working undercover at the facility where the princess is being held, they are taking blood from the Shifters then they are injecting them with certain chemicals. When Caleb see’s Isabella his bear growls mate, when he can’t stand seeing Isabella hurt anymore he set it up to look like she escaped. Caleb tells Isabella that she is his mate but she doesn’t believe him because her wolf isn’t saying anything but now they both are on the run from the facility. Wow what a fantastic read I’m a new reader to Everleigh Clark and what a fantastic first book to start with. I loved the characters and it was a great story and I will be buying books from this author that’s for sure. I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Izzie is a wolf-shifter, princess and prisoner. She is also a Royal which makes her all the more interesting to those performing tests upon her and her fellow shifters. Caleb is a grizzly-shifter, and now a guard at the institution performing experiments, so he can get inside information to shut the place down.
When he realizes his fated mate is one of the prisoners, he must tamp down his bear and remember he must rescue every shifter there, not just the one he wants to spend the rest of his life with.
An entertaining read even in the tough circumstances with delightful reference to other popular movie/programs such as Monty Python and Princess Bride. Creative, humorous and entertaining additional to this great series!!

I usually read my books in order but watev. This is actually sad. Caleb has a dark past and doesn't believe he is worthy to have a mate, let alone Isabella. Izzy has been away from her family and loves the freedom. She didn't expect to get kidnapped and experimented on . But that is what happens and where she meets Caleb, her mate. These two have "war" wounds emotionally. At times a felt so sad for them both. Each thinking the other wasn't good enough. But not all of the past is what they thought.
I have to say I wanted to cry at times for them both for what they went through. I was glad that the Paw Bear's family could show that love is the best medicine. Now we just need to find out what happens with Sammy. She seems to have found herself TWO hotties.

This book is my favorite in the series - it is steamy, funny, exciting, nerve-wracking, and growly in all the right ways. The author has a flair for dropping in laugh-out-loud moments when you least expect it which makes her books and characters even more captivating and lovable. As a movie buff, I enjoy these moments almost as much as I enjoy her books. While the book reads as a stand-alone, you will want to pick up the rest of the series to give more depth to the back story not to mention get better acquainted with the supporting characters. You definitely don’t want to miss out on the yumminess. Am already lying in wait for the next one! Great read!

This is the first book I have read by this author and it is as advertised- a standalone but I will be picking up the other books in this series. I love any book that has paranormal in it. Isabella is a royal wolf shifter that is in the wrong place at the wrong time and gets captured by humans running experiments on shifters. Caleb is an undercover bear shifter that poses as a guard to get information on the humans. While undercover Caleb discovers that Izzy is his mate and his bear is clamoring for him to protect her and get her out of there. Amazing read filled with danger as well as steam.

I am a sucker for shifter books and I enjoyed that there was inter-species pairings in this one. There is an organization of men that are rounding up shifters to experiment on them and Isabella (a royal wolf shifter) gets caught up in their clutches. Caleb is a bear shifter working undercover to rescue the abused shifters. When he is ordered to assist Isabella, Caleb's wolf recognizes Izzy and her wolf as their mate and he will do anything to keep her safe. This story brought me through a range of emotions and there are times that you will laugh out loud and some of the antics. I really enjoyed reading this story and now need to read books 1 and 2 to catch up.

Didn't like this one
I really didn't like this book. A shifter story, by it's very nature, is going to have some strange things and anomalies, but this whole story is odd and just "off". The main characters have personality changes right and left, and not the ones due to being drugged, altered, and brainwashed. Then there's the whole bad-guy-trying-to-drug-alter-and-brainwash thing, it felt choppy and overly violent for what's basically supposed to be a romance. Too off-putting for me.

Great addition to the series. Both main characters have inner issues to deal with as well as dealing with the evil humans so that they can be together.
This is the third book in a series with good world building and fun characters. It's best if you read the series in order as each book has people, events, and information that may be spoilers of the earlier books if you haven't already read them. Looking forward to the next book.

This story is short, fact paced and action packed. I read this book in one sitting and wasn’t once bored. That being said, I did find this book a little long winded in parts. I liked Izzy’s strength. Even through all she was going through, she didn’t let her kidnapper’s break her. I liked Caleb. I liked that he was working undercover in order to save shifters. I did see some chemistry between Izzy and Caleb but not a lot which was due to all of the action I think.

Princess wolf izzy was kidnapped by cruel human while trying to save a shifter. Caleb was an undercover bear trying to bring down the lab operation. He saved izzy and brought her home. Caleb thought he didnt deserved Royal izzy and past incident of saving his cousin Sam made him think he was a monster. The human put tracking device in the prisoner shifter and hypnotised izzy to brough Caleb and Sam to them. They managed to escape but Caleb was badly shot by bullets trying to save Izzy. He then make up to her by singing badly. Lol. Then they mated and broke izzy’s hymen. Hewhew
