Shay Roberts

Tyler finally meets Rosemarie but their time together is short-lived. The Time Academy is a confusing place and it seems the people in it are not all to be trusted. The dragons are the focus of Tyler and Rosemarie's quest but I think there is a lot more at stake and I wonder what the Knights of Rome are out to accomplish. I look forward to the next book and hope that some of my questions are answered.

Absolutely utterly love this book very much I know it's part of a series and I enjoy every moment of it and cannot wait to read the next adventure in this amazing world Scribe Shay has made for us to explore along with our hero's and heroines.

Another strong story in this exceptional series!
Tyler and Rosemaie meet, travel through time and fight Romans. All to protect the dragons and Rosemarie's people in Scotland.
With a lot of action, history and love. I couldn't put it down!

This book is a continuation of Tyler's story from Dragon Blood. Tyler arrives at the academy and meets Rosemarie. The two have a time travel adventure. Well-written enjoyable story!

kindle unlimited, although both listings seing on goodreads don't actually go to amazon except to say no such number, can't find it, but it is on amazon and kindle unlimited. Having to check all the books, some don't show reviewed on amazon, some don't show on goodreads, BUT I always review both at same time, so not sure how, why, or just when different reviews poofed away.

💥 OUTSTANDING, UNFORGETTABLE READ💥
A brief summary: In this Book, the second one of Tylers Saga. In this book we follow Tyler after he left the temple, to enter into the Academy. It is here its foretold he will meet his soulmate. With skillful penmanship the academy, its surroundings, techers and students become living and vivid. Undercurrents, unforseen events including a Secret plight to set things right ensures a storyline like no other.
How I percieved the book:
My mindset when I was about to start reading: In bad pain (extreme), tired, but hoped I might read a few pages before falling asleep. It should be said I had VERY high expectations, since I know that Shay Roberts books are always well written, exceptionally vivid and uniquely creative. I felt like a child in a candy store, even if I was dead tired, but with a huge smile all over when I finally got to read it.
Like magic, time vanished, and I was brought along on a story that was so epically great, adventurous, inventive, captivating and full dimensional, its really something else in the most exquisite way. Honestly I feel like it triggered a soul response (strange I know). I felt like I was right there - because my whole reality vanished, I was along for the ride experiencing everything, every emotion (blush), every incident, every step of the way..its highly remarkable, it was un-put-downable! I read tons of books, but this very very rarely happens. Needless to say, this is one of the most remarkably amazing books I’ve read in my life. Now I I’ll be like a eggsick hen, overly eagar and can hardly wait for the next book.
The reason I stated my mindset to start with, is because it gives a baseline on my point or view when I read the book. —> This is a book I will buy even if I already read it. Its A keeper!

A 4.5 star read, for me, relatively short, fast-paced, well-written and a great adventure! I love the author's world building; every series has such a complex plot with characters and themes that weave in and out and often double back to reappear when least expected.
It has been awhile since I last read about time traveller Tyler and his direct connection to the world of 🐲dragons. The author has given him a whole new setting and set of friends and foes, although characters from his earlier adventures in Africa are referenced. As in Roberts' other excellent series about Ash, the romance is present, this time with fellow time traveller Rosemarie, but it is not the main theme.
I love all things Scottish and a good part of this book is set in the Borderlands and Highlands of late Roman era Scotland. This is a magical landscape and a fitting place for dragons to make their desperate stand against forces sent to destroy them. The heroes meet one of the great magical figures of The British Isles during their trip there and I hope the continuation of Tyler's series will bring him back to the area.
I read a complimentary copy of the book and this is my voluntary and honest review.

What a fantastic, captivating and original series. This is the second of Tyler's books, a character from Ash's saga in the heart blaze series, and a l character I love. This was a fantastic second book, we eventually meet Rosemarie and see Tyler start his training at the time agency.
The Dragon and time travel elements add something more and different to the book than other shifter/paranormal books. This series just has so many different and new elements to it and is just uniquely different from any other books I've read.
As with the other books, this is written from the perspective of different characters, in this case Tyler and Rosemarie. In previous books I've found this a bit disjointed and difficult to follow at first, but found it very cleverly pulls together as you keep reading. Although I found this less complicated and easier to read than other heart blaze books.
This was shorter and quicker to read than some of the other books in this series, but it didn't lack on storyline by being shorter. On a whole, I found it well written with great character's and a great storyline.
I can't wait for the rest of Tyler's story.

I am a sucker for paranormal adventures and this is a good one. (I've read the author's other trilogies and this one is my favorite.) The book offers a highly unusual, incredibly creative "take" on the whole dragon mythos. Tyler's a wise-cracking guy in the vein of Indiana Jones or Peter Quill and this adventure is even more fun that the original story in Tyler's Saga. You can tell the ancient world has been well researched (down to some pretty "icky" details) and there's no cheating the way some authors just slap a sword in a hero's hand and call it a day. Rosemarie, Tyler's love, is a smart, strong woman, and Roberts does an interesting thing with tribal tattoos for both Rose and Tyler. Love. Magic. Time Travel. And a couple of scene-stealing little creatures that add a welcome bit of humor. There's also an indelible portrait of Tyler's mentor at the Academy, a sensitive and thoughtful portrayal of a brilliant mind trapped in a failing body. If you love adventure-driven, character-rich stories, this book (and this series) is for you.

I am a huge fan of the Heartblaze series so I was excited to have the opportunity to read about Tyler, the time traveler. For the most part, Shay Roberts does an exceptional job of explaining time travel in a way that is understandable and easy to follow. In this book, I found it even easier to follow the plot, perhaps because Tyler and Rosemarie are just learning about time travel themselves.
It had been a while, so it was nice to read a book from Shay Roberts once again. Some of the observations from Tyler were awfully amusing in their bluntness. Like this one: The Romans seem to have a habit of showing up and ruining everyone’s day.
And this one: On one side of the hut’s dirt floor, I see a tangle of hides that must be Merlin’s bed. I’m pretty sure they’re the source of the ripe smell the wine is almost covering. Maybe that’s why his girl bailed on him. Ladies don’t like it when you don’t wash your sheets.
Beware. It ends on a bit of a cliffhanger, but nothing too aggravating. I’m looking forward to whatever comes next.

Loved this latest addition to Tyler's story. Mr. Roberts has written yet another stunning installment in the Heartblaze series. I love the Heartblaze world our scribe has created, he continues the storyline with deep thought and I am sure many many hours of exhaustive research.
Tyler's story continues with him going back in time to the Time Academy rejoining his Rosemarie there. Where they set out to save the dragons in Rosemarie's time. I am so happy Mr. Roberts gives us a deeper insight into Tyler and Rosemarie's relationship. He drew me deeper into Tyler and Rosemarie's world making me care even more deeply for them.
Something is very amiss in the Time Academy that has me very intrigued. Learning more and more about Tyler, his past and present makes me eager to read the next addition to Tyler's saga. The journey into the Heartblaze world is far from over (in my own humble opinion). If you haven't read any of Mr. Roberts Heartblaze books you are missing out on so much adventure, intrigue, mythology, mystery and fantastic writing. Thank you so much to the scribe.

This is the second instalment in Tyler's story, covering his arrival at the SA Academy and his meeting with Rosemarie, his supposed soulmate. Whilst short in length, it's definitely not short in content, keeping me hooked from beginning to end, and left me wanting more! I also learnt about some ancient English history (with a fantasy twist!) at the same time, like a little added bonus, but in a completely seamless part of the story, not a standout lecture. All in all, I'd say this is certainly a book for Tyler fans to read ASAP, and if you love dragons and shifters, get the first book and catch up on the series now - I can promise you won't be disappointed!

Kudos again for Shay Roberts on another superbly written book. The Heartblaze series is absolutely phenomenal. The books in this series just get better and better with each book. Dragon War is filled with action, adventure & excitement. Tyler and Rosemarie meet with an immediate attraction and connection. Ayana had told him in the previous book that he would meet his soulmate and that her name was Rosemarie. He and Rosemarie work well together to fight to save her people and the dragons. This is yet another hard to put down page turner of a book. This book fills you in all about Tyler.

Excellent second in series!! Time traveler and dracoform Tyler ends up in the same academy as Rosemarie, who is just learning her time travel ability. Together they vow to stop the destruction of Rosemarie's people and the death of dragons by the Roman invaders. Things rarely go as planned, which Tyler and Rosemarie find out quickly.
Well written, with a great plot and characters, full of action and twists! Waiting for the next book!

I LOVE this whole world. Tyler has been my guy since we first met him. This story is complex and intriguing. I had a hard time sleeping thinking about what was gonna happen next. You think you know where it's going and surprise there is a twist. I love the relationship Tyler and Rose had going. There is something going on at the Time Academy that is not right. I know so much more about Tyler, but the journey isn't over yet. This is gonna be a thrilling ride.

In this second book in Tyler's story, we finally meet the elusive Rosemarie and the dragon Aido-Hwedo.
Well written and action packed and full of interesting characters, this story follows Tyler and Rosemarie through their adventures in time in an effort to save Rosemarie's people and the world's true dragons.
I have come to expect consistent, high quality stories from Shay Roberts, and this one definitely didn't disappoint.

Tyler and his soulmate Rosemarie find themselves in for the fight of their lives, while they are supposed to be just learning more about time travel.
When they learn of danger to dragons and to Rose's people, the powers above them refuse to take action, leaving them to attempt to stop the slaughter all by themselves.
Lots of intrigue and action happening in this one, as well as a good bit of romance.
Great book, and I can't wait for the next one.

Tyler meets his mate and they have an exciting time travel adventure. There are many rules associated with time travel and Tyler and Rosemarie try to run into every one of them. This is a fast paced adventure with excitement and romance. This is the second book in Tyler's trilogy and it is every bit as good as the first. Enter the world of Tyler the dragon and you will be thoroughly entertained.

Everyone’s favorite charismatic dragon shifter is back and as charming as ever. We do get a glimpse of a more gentle, human side to Tyler with Rosemarie, which only enchants me more.
As always, the plot is adventurous and intriguing, as Roberts’ creativity and historical knowledge shines through. Each new book I read in the series becomes my new favorite and Dragon War is no exception.

The time traveling was kind of confusing to understand. However, it was very interesting to find out more about how Tyler met Rosemary and her background. I highly recommend reading this series although it would be a better reading experience to read each novel one after another to remember the complicated and detailed storyline.

I adore this series, and this book does not disappoint in the least. I loved getting to know Tyler better and more background on the organisation her works for. The whole story with Rosemarie works really well. Extremely fast paced and as well written as ever. I ended up reading this one in one sitting just to find out how it pans out.. Can't wait for the next book already.

Rosemarie is recruited to join the time travelers after being recused from a mental institution . With having under go such physical abuse her memories were damaged but in due time they start to return. A shifter named Tyler joins the academy in hope to find his true mate. In doing so they travel through time to try and save the dragons and the fate of her people.

Great 2 book on Tyler. Adventure, romance, and suspense. Tyler goes to the Academy and meets up with Rosemarie who he was told he would find. We find out so much more about these two. You just want to keep reading to see what and how things will work out for them. I 'm looking forward to seeing what else happens with these two characters.

Another excellent addition to this saga. This time we get some of Tyler's history and find out who Rosemarie is. Time travel really makes things confusing, but Tyler seems to be able to handle the intricacies of it. I'm looking forward to seeing where this story goes next.

I loved this book. It had been awhile since I read the first book in the series, but about 5 pages in and I was hooked again! Shay Roberts has a fantastic way with fantasy and his series are uniformly well written with multi-dimensional well developed characters and a believable story world. I highly recommend this book and all of Shay's series to any fantasy lover!

I have read all the Heartblaze books and highly recommend the series.Tyler and his soulmate Rosemarie have quite an adventure ahead of them in this book. It is full of action and adventure and romance and really keeps the reader on quite a thrill ride.You never know what to expect.

I really like this author's books. Ready for the next installment in the series. Not dull or boring, action, adventure, and a good story! The romance was nice as well, not too much, and not too little. Fun reading.

I absolutely love Shay Roberts books and can't seem to read them fast enough.
Tyler is absolutely awesome and I wish I could meet this man in real life. This second book in the Saga does not disappoint and keeps you on the edge of your seat. Rosemarie is bad ass and Tyler's kryptonite.
Love, love, love this book. A must read.

Another great Heartblaze novel by Shay Roberts. Although this one doesn't have the same sense of danger and urgency as many of the other Heartblaze novels, it is an intricate and well-plotted story with characters I really cared about. I can't wait to see how Tyler and Rose's story concludes. Write the next book soon, please!

I love dragon shifter book and this one was a great read to add to my collection of them. This is book 2 of the series and action packed an aventurest as the first book in the series. Shay Roberts is a wonderful writer I can't wait to see what he writes about next I loved it.
