John Blockley: A Retrospective
A beautiful retrospective of the work of one of the twentieth century’s most influential and innovative John Blockley.
Self-taught artist John Blockley produced work that has always been experimental and his highly textured style was well ahead of his time and still hugely influential. This beautiful survey of his work, comprising watercolors, pastels, and acrylics, brings together his finest art. His daughter, Ann Blockley, an acclaimed painter in her own right, provides the illuminating commentary, which explains his techniques and artistic vision. Breaking with so many traditions, John was and is a significant figure in the art world—and this book will captivate his many fans.
