Chloe Cole is the New York Times bestselling author of steamy paranormal romance novels and one half of the happiest couple in the world. She and her handsome hubby currently reside in Pennsylvania with a four-pack of teenage boys and their two dogs, Gimli and Pug. When she isn't acting as maid, chef, chauffeur, or therapist, she can be found reading just about anything she can get her hands on, from Young Adult novels to books on poker theory. She hates bugs (except ladybugs, on account of their cute outfits), but lurrves chocolate. She also loves writing steamy romance stories, but also hopes to one day publish something her dad can read without wanting to poke his eyes out with sharp sticks. If she had to pick another occupation, she would be a pirate. Or, like, a ninja maybe. Oooh, or a Gryffendor!
I’m writing this just to get it off my chest, not to sway anyone ... I’m can’t help you might like this but it Judy rubbed me the wrong way.... I should have known w/Ms. Cole/Bell it wouldn’t hit the mark for me ( most times in the past, her heavy handed writing rubbed me wrong) but Iris seemed soo strong and refreshing I wanted to give it a shot but I just couldn’t get over the ways things started .... These guys act like friends to her for a moment and drug her, take her off, she wakes with a collar around her neck to keep her from shifting and act like since they haven’t injured her further she should be grateful and act all hurt and affronted when she’s angry and cold and even more hurt when she tries to escape, saying she now has to earn their trust ... Seriously?!?>?! They just seemed soo foolish, like sweet gentlemen who despite what they are doing should be forgiven and loved and understood .... It was just too weird for me, Iris didn’t get Stockholm syndrome with these idiots, but it just felt weird and off, she’s fo this connection to them and is falling for them and trying to keep a distance all at the same time... This whole we’re nice guys you can trust us,pout, pout why don’t you trust us, but being kinda naive all at the same time , they should know any one getting to travel to a distant land to kidnap a woman isn’t a good thing, they know this and yet .... All the reasons their doing this I can’t say, don’t wanna spoil but this was just to weird , they like sweet and kinda cuddly w/her one minute and then both sides pull away out fear and mistrust the next , all the while these seemingly “good guys “ are “hurt” every time she pulls back out hurt and mistrust of them , aaaaaaaaaaa,Hello “You. Drugged. And . Kidnapped. Me!!! Now if these guys had been hardened criminals, who didn’t really care ( hard lives, backstories, etc) but had shown her some kindness, like making sure didn’t hurt /w/ out need and never once thought about forcing themselves on her etc. but slowly they came to care about her and slowly built trust w/each other and slowly got them to care about why exactly they had been hired , all the while building and forging relationships, that I think I could have learned to love.... A group off rough tough bad ... types that scared ppl just by looking them or something and had a rep. For being cold and uncaring but had a good heart etc. that this strong feisty young woman wins over and together they turn the tables on the ppl who hired them because NO one hurts what now their woman.... big tough alphas that they are ;) Yeah! But this ? Sure we deceived you, drugged you, kidnapped and collared you soo your venerable and can’t adequately defend yourself but hey, we’re not bad guys , we’re sweet and hurt you don’t trust us... that emotional their weirdness put me on just kinda creeped me out ,these guys were clueless betas and I just wanted to smack them around... 2 stars ⭐️ enjoyment ,3 for quality of the effort...

Set a year after Anaya's Pride. Iris, Anaya's sister, has spent the last year training as a solider and she has become very proficient. She never wants to feel as helpless as she did during the Revelation. Unable to protect her self or others. She is not one of the Army's best archers, but her sister won't allow her to formerly join. Anaya fears that her need to protect Iris will inhibit her ability to make decisions in a crisis. Iris chafes under her inability to follow her dream. Iris is kidnapped during the anniversary celebration of the revolution. She begins to understand Anaya's fears. The men treat her far better than she expected and she begins to suspect there is more to her captors then it seems. She is starting to have feeling for the men. She is not giving up. Titus, a bear, Eryk, a panther, Dimitri, a tiger and Mathias, a lion, are caught in an impossible situation. As they one by one start to fall for Iris, they begin to question whether there might be another way. Things aren't what they seem, among the men. Betrayal leads Anaya to the master mind of her kidnapping. Iris isn't going to her fate quietly. Fast paced and steamy. Loved Iris's story. It can be read as a stand alone. Reading Anay's Pride first, enhances Iris's story.

I was given a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review and this is it. This is the thrid book in the series and the first book of Iris''s story. I absolutely loved Iris though at some moments i found her frustrating and spoiled and she angered me still i found her brilliant and lovely and strong willed and strong headed and amazing! I loved the guys and i loved the plot and oh my god the amazing twist in it that noone expected. I can't really say if i loved Iris's book more than Anaya's but both books will definetely have a place in my heart for the fresh story and the amazing scenery and world building .
We met Anya's sister in her book and now we get to find out what happens to her after the dust settles and Anya is on the throne. Iris has trained to become one of the best with the bow and arrow but her sister won't let her join the army so she continues to train and hopes to show her skill in a contest and does although she's beaten by some handsome strangers. When she celebrates with them she wakes up kidnapped. But there's a reason for everything and when feelings grow more is at stake then first realized.
A very enjoyable story! Iris is definitely the star of the story, the men are amazing and hot, but it's all about her. And then there are the surprises that catch you. Whenever I thought I came to a spot I could stop well I found it wasn't the right time, until I reached the last page. I received a copy under no obligation.
I enjoyed the world building in this story. Any time there is something new in a paranormal story I'm a happy camper. The characters were fun to read and although I wanted to smack a couple of them over the head a few times, that just proves to me that the author is doing something right or I wouldn't care one way or the other. Even though I had not read the first books I was able to follow along with the story and didn't feel subjected to a boring rehash of what had already happened so kudos to Chloe. I was given an advance copy of this story with the understanding that I would post an honest review.
Definitely a 5 Star book. This was the story of Iris, the younger sister of the new queen, Anaya. It is full of adventure and excitement starting with a tournament of challenge where Iris competes and meets four handsome men who stir something deep inside her. Unfortunately the same four men kidnap her and the story takes on an element of suspense and a lot of sizzle. This book was very hard to put down, I really enjoyed it.
This series continues the story as Iris, Anaya’s sister wants to be part of the royal army. Anaya denies her sister, claiming she could not bear it if something happened to her. Then Iris is captured by four men who tempt her in ways she’s never been. Will they hold her for ransom, turn her over to a madman, or make her their own? Gotta read the book to find out!
I chose to read and review this book. I liked this book. It was a fresh start to something amazing. It has a lot of adventure thrill and a lot that kept me reading till the end. I was sad when it ended cause I did not want to reach it. I wanted more of these great characters. The sparks and mystery, as well as suspense, will keep you reading till you won't sleep as I did hehe. I recommend this one and will be reading more for this author since still new to me.
I knew what I was gonna get after reading book 1-2 of Anaya's story. I knew I was gonna get instalove and a quick story that I want to badly to have MORE. Iris is supposedly a good warrior. It's mentioned at the beginning she wants to join her sisters army but was denied. Then Iris proceeds to be almost useless against everyone right until the very end. I did enjoy the little twist though! Didn't actually see that coming.
I really liked this book. It had a bit of everything you could ask for. Romance, mystery, suspense, action, and adventure. I liked the character of Iris. Strong willed and not willing to just take whats thrown at her. The men were charming and very likeable characters. I did not see that plot twist coming though i must say. All in all i enjoyed this book.
Interesting characters, an engaging plot, and a complex world are combined into a good book in an entertaining series. With drama, danger, action and quite a bit of steam, this ménage romance. I'm posting a honest, voluntary review after reading this book.
