Maggie lived the first ten years of life in London before moving to Scotland. She has a degree in English Literature and spent many years working in offices dreaming of pursuing her passion for writing.

A perfect day would include an early morning swim, a good coffee, a great book and a few hours spent writing before the chaos of a husband, three children, a dog and a cat begins.

Having landed the role of chief dog walker, she spends far too much time roaming the streets but at least this gives her a chance to think up new storylines.

I really enjoyed the first book and was eager to read this when I saw it on NetGalley but I'm afraid it didn't have the same pull as the first book for me.

Molly Adams is getting divorced after her husband left her for another woman. She is left in the soulless new house in Glasgow they bought together, hates her job and feels a total failure. Her brother is moving to St Andrews for work with his family and while they look for a house they have rented the whole of West Sands Guest House, they invite Molly to stay for a few weeks.

Molly soon fits in with the quaint Scottish town, the beautiful golf links where she rekindles her love for the game, the cosy shops and the lovable characters, including the rather taciturn golf professional Tom Kennedy who always seems to see her at her worst.

This was a sweet and gentle romance - maybe too sweet and gentle for my tastes, I didn't really feel any tension and Molly and Tom didn't have enough personality to stand out as characters. Overall, if I hadn't read the first book I would probably have enjoyed this more.

I received a free copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

Bumped for release.

It's apleasant book, but nothing remarkable.
The plot is interesting but the characters are not developed enough to pull the reader in. There is no chemistry between Molly and Tom, and their romance, that was meant to feel like a slow-burn, felt forced instead.
I liked the portrait of Molly's family, but it was not enough.

When Molly's marriage breaks down she is grateful to accept an invitation from her brother to join his family at West Sands in St Andrews in Scotland. The coast is lovely and she soon relaxes more and enjoys helping looking after her niece and nephew and taking golf lessons...........especially as the lessons are given by Tom..... is it too soon for her to start thinking about another man!

A lovely feel good book, predictable but set at a nice gentle pace and in a lovely setting, that you didn't want to end

This is the first book I have read by this author and now want to read more it was quite a quick read but packed with adventure, romance and moving forward in a beautiful place with wonderful countryside. Great characters and the story is so realistic you want to keep reading to see what happens. Simply brilliant read couldn't put it down and so heartwarming loved it and didn't want it to end.
Molly has just split from her husband as he's had an affair she also finished her job so feels she needs to get away she speaks with her brother who is moving to the west coast of Scotland and to start with he and his wife will live in a guest house so he invites Molly to have a break and join them and the children so she goes. Once she's there she goes out on plenty of walks and comes across a golf course and starts playing again and she has a reason to go as she likes Tom who is a pro golfer and has a past as well. Can the two of them move forward and forget the past and build a life together or are both of them not ready for it yet and will Molly end up going back home or staying. She also makes new friends and enjoys the life she is now getting away from her ex husband.
A brilliant read really didn't want it to end. Worth far more than the five stars I have it so heartwarming.

This was quite a pleasant read but nothing particularly dramatic and a fairly predictable ending. Having read both books (Winter at West Sands Guest House) I can't say that there was anything particularly outstanding about either of them but a light hearted read nevertheless.

This was a lovely return to West Sands Guesthouse. A new romance between Molly and Tom who are both harbouring a troubled past. St Andrews sounds wonderful and maybe one day I'll get to visit with my husband who is a keen golfer.
I enjoyed the story having a golf theme alongside the romance. I also loved the strong family ties throughout the book.
I am really keen to read more set around West Sands Guesthouse and hope we make a return soon.

Really enjoyed this cozy tale set in Scotland. It was nice to read the descriptions of the area Molly was visiting. Sounded beautiful!

Enjoyed the golf aspect, that is something I don't know much about and the author writes easily about the game of golf. Molly's love of the game is infectious.

The relationship between Molly and Tom was a good plot.

This book was a pleasant read but was so predictable and like so many of its type. Would have liked more surprises in it. It’s also a very short read. I read it in less than a day.

This was a sweet, feel-good romance. I fell in love with the characters, and I loved how much was pact into the story in only 150 pages. The ending was perfect for the characters. I look forward to reading more by Maggie Conway.

This was a very quick read, it was somewhat cliche but that didn't stop it from being very enjoyable. The story was good and I have to admit I do love a good romance set in Scotland having family from there myself. I don't find golf particularly enjoyable but the way it was written about in this book was fun and I actually found it to be very interesting. I will definitely read more by this author.

I was sent this book by Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I personally loved Summer at West Sands Guest House. It may have had a slightly predictable ending but there was a point where I thought Molly might not get her happy ever after.

After moving to St Andrews to stay with her brother, sister in law and their children after getting divorced, Molly finds herself loving the more quiet lifestyle which is a far cry from the city life she used to share with ex husband Colin. Gone are the busy streets and hustle and bustle of people. Now it’s beaches, markets and golf courses. One of which has Tom, the soon to be love interest and pro golfer.
Being a keen golfer herself, it’s inevitable that she is going to keep bumping into him. After time she realises that’s she might not be able to stay away from him, although she fears she may be making a mistake getting to know Tom so soon after her divorce, she just can’t help the attraction.

Battling his own demons, Tom finds himself falling in love with Molly. Their relationship takes a turn for the worst when Molly sees him in his hotel with another woman. This of course greatly upsets Molly after believing she makes the worst choices when it comes to men, she decides to try and move on from Tom and focus on her own happiness.

It later comes out that Tom is suffering with Post Traumatic Stress after a fire that cut his professional golfing career dramatically short. Not being able to confide in Molly about this as he feels almost embarrassed and unable to come to terms with it himself. This leads him showing up at the Guest House during a family BBQ which Molly and her family are having. He confesses everything that he’s been wanting to say to her and they finally confess their love for each other.

The book ends with Tom buying a house and Molly moving in a few weeks later whilst working a few days at the golf course.

This is the first book I have read by this author and I really enjoyed it. An easy quick read with an interesting plot. A story of new beginnings, family, self-discovery and a gentle romance. Heartwarming with characters which I could relate to and a lovely location. I I would like to visit the east coast of Scotland. I really enjoyed the golf in the story - it is written with enthusiasm.

A perfect summer holiday read. This is the first book I have read by this author and I definitely will read another book by Maggie.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

The 2nd book in the series but not necessarily a follow on so are stand alone stories.

Molly travels to St Andrews to spend time with her brother and his family for Summer, after divorcing her husband. There follows a story of finding herself again and of learning to take chances, especially when she meets Tom, who has his own demons to deal with.

A lovely story and worth a read.

Easy enjoyable read ...

Well planned with a good flow, realistic situations, and satisfying... only drawback were copy errors, a simple read through before publishing would have avoided these annoying distractions.

Sweet story

Besides the fact that her ex was a cheat, it was a sweet story with a happy ending. Looking forward to the next story!
