Recently retired detective Keely McAdam loves mountain biking (so much that his wife refers to his bike as the two-wheeled whore) and he enters as many twenty-four hour races as he can. His current race ends abruptly when he discovers the body of a pro cyclist at the bottom of an eighty foot cliff. Soon a second pro cyclist is missing. Keely feels compelled to help solve the murder and find the missing woman.
Before long Keely is pulled deeper into the nightmare when his wife, Elise, is kidnapped. He is warned that if he doesn’t find the missing cyclist, Elise will be murdered. With the help of his friend Mick ‘Numbers’ Moyer, a former detective turned P.I., Keely breaks through road block after road block in pursuit of freeing his wife and solving the crimes. He soon realizes that fate has brought him back to the very case and place that was the cause of his early retirement. He must deal with the past if he and his wife are to have a future at all.
We all love a good scare. That's why I.O. Neil wants to scare you. That really is the goal - to get you frightened. Along the way you'll fall in love with the characters in Goners, you'll cheer for them. So, go on, go get scared and cheer on Franny and her friends.
