One of the best books so far in the series. It has a lot of adventure all over the world. Dangerous always, but the Five always prevail and meet each trial as a team. I have so enjoyed the book and am waiting for the next on pins and needles to see where it takes the Five.

This is the third book in the Aegis series and follows on with the five friends back at home with their families, under the guardianship of the Sentries. This idyll doesn’t last long, as they still need to discover what the next step is going to be in the fight against the darkness overtaking the world. First, the crops all started dying overnight, then a virus hit which turned people violent just before they died. The virus spread like wildfire with modern travel routes readily available to all.

The friends are sent on another mission to find a relic from over two thousand years ago, from Roman Times. They are led all over the world to follow clues, long hidden, to find this relic, if it even exists anymore. One of the five gets injured whilst they are searching and an accident occurs. Tegan has to take over.

The Elders back at Dema-Ki are also looking for a cure for this new virus, but matters become more urgent when one of the five gets infected. The remaining friends start to take more risks to find a cure for their friend. The possible cure has been hidden for two thousand years, maybe there was a reason it has not been found before now.

Both groups seek the answer and hope to save their friends life as well as begin to safe people around the world. Reyor, the evil mastermind behind these devastating viral attacks, is getting ready to finish off all the Sanctuaries and to set off the final attacks to destroy all normal human life on Earth. We learn more about both sides in this race. There are people hidden on both sides that may give an edge to one or the other.

Another story filled with action, more information about the fives’ special powers and the extra training they go back to the village to receive, more about the history of the villagers and where they and others came from and ended up. It moves along at a great pace, cutting from the Stewards working at the Sanctuaries under Reyor to the five friends and the Elders in Dema-Ki, all on opposite sides of this fight for the world.

I can’t wait for the next book in the Aegis League series and love the fact that each book is sooooo long, that it takes a couple of solid sessions of reading to complete, that you don’t want to put it down until your finish and are always left wanting more. This author knows how to write a story that keeps your attention throughout and has a wonderful way with words, background details are given to allow you to follow each character clearly and has pace as and when needed. S.S. Segran makes my top ten of all-time favourite authors and I would read any books they write.

I was given an ARC copy of this book and I have very freely given my own opinion of the book above. Anyone, with the chance to read any of the books in this series, will definitely enjoy them.

This is the third volume of Ms. Segran's Aegis series which, when complete, will comprise five books. I had the pleasure of reading this as a beta reader (an advance reader who offers feedback and advice to the author as the novel progresses). I was also a beta reader for the second book in the series, Aegis Incursion. The novels are young adult fiction featuring five teenagers who crash land near a native village in northern B.C. in the first novel only to discover they are the answer to a long-held prophecy of the obscure and hidden native village of Dema-Ki. They have mysterious powers that the native elders help bring about through extensive training.
In the second novel, the teens are back home in Montana where they hail from and are called to action when a radical environmentalist group led by a dissident exile from the village threatens to destroy all of humanity through a plague that is destroying food crops worldwide. This radical group believes humanity is a blight on Mother Earth and wants to wipe it off the face of the earth to be replaced by a new breed of environmental stewards.
After successfully fighting this threat, this third novel finds the youths fighting a new threat, a virus that comes in two deadly strains - one that ages people so rapidly they expire in a matter of weeks and the other which turns people into violent murdering savages. It involves the teens searching for a mystery cure, a package of seeds which will grow trees that provide a cure for all diseases. This package has been hidden since ancient times and is only known to the elders of Dema-Ki who do not know its location. The quest takes them all over the world including Israel, Russia and Africa.
What is truly amazing is that the first book in this highly acclaimed series was written when Shirin Segran was just eighteen. It has won accolades from many quarters including plaudits from Samuel F. Pickering, Professor Emeritus of English at the University of Connecticut and the inspiration for the film, Dead Poets Society.

The chosen have returned to Dema-Ki to further their training, exploring abilities that are beyond even the Elders' guidance, and yet guide them they must. This group of friends must learn to combine their powers, for they will be called upon sooner than they could imagine. Riots, raids, and crop destruction has put strain on the world, but that is but the tip of the iceberg, the first part of a deadly plan, and part two in underway. A deadly plague is spreading, leaving death in its wake, and it seems almost no one is safe from infection. Can they find a means to stop the spread and cure those already afflicted, or will they be forced to watch everyone they care about die, and be powerless to do anything? Find out in S.S. Segran's Aegis Evolution.

An amazing adventure of epic proportions. Aegis Evolution whisks you away into a story that is Iron fist, meets X-Men, meets Percy Jackson and spins a truly engaging and enjoyable tale. Whilst it is book three in the Aegis League Series Book 3 it works well as standalone, with key details seamlessly woven into the main plot to give the reader an understanding of what happened in the books before. I really struggled to put this down once I had started, it held me captivated from the first page to the last in a whirlwind tale of adventure, friendship, challenges, danger, and the pushing of boundaries. S.S. Segran has a wonderful writing style that effortlessly seems to flow, pulling the reader deeper until they can't help but find themselves fully immersed and invested in the characters' struggles, there is some great developments, not only in plot but in the characters and their growth on a personal level. A simply amazing read, a must for lovers of the genre.

Aegis Evolution - a review by Rosemary Kenny

The Chosen Ones, five unique teenagers - Tegan, Aari, Mariah, Kody and Jag - are all that stands between the total destruction of mankind, (apart from a select tribe, the Dema-Ki people) using deadly pathogens deliberately created by Dr Deol and spread globally by the evil Reyor and his Mentor. To thwart his intentions, the quintet must unite the old secret Knowledge hidden by the Elders, with their enhanced psychic and physical powers with the aid of the Sentries and a mysterious tribe the Watchers.

Why does Reyor want the Chosen Ones caught alive? Why does he need the Black Crystal?
Who does Kenzo save from Tony's torture chamber? Where is Jag held prisoner?
What does the silver helmet do to Jag? What do the pathogens do to unprotected humans?
When is Kody badly injured and who heals him - and how?

S S Segran skillfully draws the reader into a whole new what if...? fantasy apocalyptic scenario, that is all too appallingly possible, given the way that Mankind is already seemingly bent on the destruction of the planet by pollution and greed. With fascinating characters and the mix of ancient and modern would-be genocidal rulers with everyday folk and worldwide locations, the reader is sure to be fully engaged throughout this page-turning story par excellence - more please!

Another phenomenal installment in the Aegis League Series! Exceptionally well written, with layers of meaning and perspective from each of the five friends, not to mention the Sentries, Elders and villagers, this epic narrative draws the reader in and doesn’t let go! When two devastating strains of a deadly virus are unleashed around the globe, no one is left untouched. In spite of their steadily increasing awesome abilities, the five teenaged friends are tested in Aegis Evolution like never before. This intriguing series promises much and delivers –gripping suspense and nail biting action as well as timely questions for today. Is humanity destroying earth and if so, is saving humanity worth saving at the cost of earth? Can they both be saved or is it time for a reset?

This book was so hard to put down! Certainly kept me up reading well past my bedtime, I felt like a kid who didn't want to put the flashlight away! It was just plain great and I think out of all three books the best yet. Although you don't have to read the others before this to enjoy the book and characters, it probably wouldn't hurt, if for no other reason to familiarize yourself with the characters. This well written story grabs you from the very beginning and just keeps pulling you in with nonstop action, thrills and adventure. No spoilers here, you will not be disappointed that you picked up this book, and you will just love "the Five." Yes, you need to read the book to find out!

If you liked The Hunger Games and The Divergent Series, then this series is taylored made for you. I love how the characters are so believable and I like the way they honestly express their feelings. This series has had me on the edge of my seat with every book and book three is no exception. Just when you think you have figured something out, it all changes on you. I love how the author has written each book so it can be read alone or as a series. I would like for there to be more interaction with the elders and the hero’s while they are back at home, but other than that this series is great and I can’t wait for the other two books to come out. I think every one owes it to themselves to read this series. You won’t be disappointed.

What a great book!

This one grabbed my attention from the first page. I hated putting it down and am sure I stayed up past my bedtime on multiple occasions.
The story drew me in with the perfect blend of detail and action. The antagonist is cold, calculating and brutal in his intensity and drive to do what he believes is right. I understood his perspective even though I didn't agree with his methods.
This is the third book, so, the main characters really gel as they learn to work together and face their biggest challenge, yet!
S. S. Segran is truly a talented author and her writing will appeal to a very wide audience.

Aegis Evolution is the third installment in S. S. Segran's Aegis League Series. It is classified as an Action Adventure Mystery Thriller and it certainly delivers in every area. In Aegis Evolution our five friends are back again this time trying to help stop 2 deadly world wide epidemics.

Ms. Segran continues to develop our beloved characters. The plot continues to maintain my interest as we discover more about what is really going on with all these attacks on humanity.

I can hardly bear the wait for the next 2 upcoming novels to continue this fantastic series.

I discovered the Aegis series back when there was only book one. I was impressed then. After reading book three now, it re-enforces my original opinion that this is definitely a writer worth watching! The series (and her writing) is just getting better and better. She is in my top ten favorite indie authors, and I'll be waiting rather impatiently for book number four! The story, the characters, the descriptions..a very exciting read..I highly recommend these books.

Couldn't put it down

I downloaded this book for two reasons: it was free. The editor reviews intrigued me. It is not a genre I usually embrace. Boy, am I glad I made this exception. Extremely well written with believable dialogue and knowledgeable
backdrops and action. Both pro and antagonists are well developed characters who you either love or hate. It's also refreshing to find an author unafraid to put characters at risk.

This author has a knack for creating very plausible, relatable characters. This novel is a captivating blend of description and narration. So many stories in so many places are seamlessly interwoven to create very believable and engaging story. This is the third of a very remarkable series, and I think it’s the best so far. I keep changing my mind about which of the Five I would like for a BFF!

While I enjoyed this book immensely, it did not seem to have the "fire" of the previous books, especially the first one.
A couple of suspicions were confirmed. I do look forward to reading the remainder of the series, and finding out what the next wave(s) will be
