I loved learning the histories of Maine. As a life long New Englander, it felt familiar even though I hadn’t heard about all of these historical events. It also helped me understand why there’s certain genealogy records that I can’t find from Maine.
I’m not onto It Happened in New Hampshire.
PS I also loved using these in our Homeschool curriculum.

This is a fun read if you are interested in the history of Maine. An added plus is a section at the end called A Potpourri of Maine Facts, which is a good trivia read, and another section called A Medley of Maine Firsts, another good trivia read.

I wouldnt say that these are all interesting stories, but some were and all of them were very educational.
