This novel is for the present time the finale to this enjoyable series. The Author was kind enough to tell us of a spin-off series she is now penning. So, we aren't going to lose a talented author.
Nicole Fitzhenry-Dawes first came into our reading lives as a lawyer, not very happy one, who learns she has inherited her late Uncle's Maple Sugar farm. She doesn't know one single person in town and has to forge her way through memories, decisions, and murder to change her world.
This series began with humor and a darn good mystery. We have now progressed to the sixth and final episode in Nicole's journey and it is dawning with her upcoming nuptials to Mark Cavanaugh. It isn't all smooth romance for sure and suddenly the Chief of Police is missing, another officer is slain and the eyes of the law are upon Nicole's fiancé.
Putting her lawyer hat back on and also her detective cloak, Nicole is determined to find the real 'invisible' culprit and have the ever-after she has dreamed of.
This was a good series ending. I wish there had been more humor but the situation the main characters faced was not humorous. I will miss these characters, but, perhaps they might make cameo appearances? We can hope.

Wedding jitters?
A good plot but the ending was weak.
The wedding is coming up fast but her dress is a nightmare, she still hasn't chosen her cake flavour and now Mark has been arrested. A dead officer has been found in his house, sitting on his sofa with his throat cut. She has to investigate even though everyone is warning her against it. Then when the Chief goes missing it ups the anti. An abused wife, a crime ring, attempted murder, stolen files and more keep piling up. Who can they trust? Is this anything to do with the corruption that the Chief has been brought in to investigate? Will there be a wedding?

The End?
I enjoyed all of the Maple Syrup Mysteries and absolutely love when a series wraps things up and everything makes sense. My recommendation, is to reread all of the books before reading End Of The Line. Why? Unless you have an amazing memory, you’ll have much more fun figuring out Who Done It.
Looking forward to Isabel’s stories.

Stickiest Book Yet!
I have read all of the Maple Syrup Mysteries, and they are all page-turners! Once you begin one, you cannot put it down. And -- once you finish one, you can hardly wait for the next one! So, be sure to start with the first one in the series: A STICKY INHERITANCE. You will not be sorry!

Great series
I'm not good about leaving reviews, usually just stars. But this whole series has been great. I've been binge reading all week. Feeding my boys fast food, yuck, or quick meals so I good get back to my book. They loved it as much as I loved the books. I hope their are more to come.

Good story
This is a good series to read. The characters are well developed and believable. The plots and storylines keep me engaged in the story and are complex enough to keep me guessing.

Loved it!
Another great story! The plot had just enough twists and turns to keep me guessing until the end. I love all the characters, both old and new. I can't wait to read the next book!

I think Emily James did a fantastic job on End Of The Line. Once again Nikki does her sleuthing, but it isn't the same book with a new title. It is always a new situation, a new case, and a new role for Nicole Fitzhenry-Dawes (I hope I got that huge, hyphenated name correct).
The wedding is finally here. Nikki is at her fitting for her wedding dress and gets an odd call from Mark. The intrigue and suspense starts right away. You feel included in the panic as she leaves her fitting and drives to Mark's house. You arrive to chaos. Nothing quite makes sense. And then the seriousness of the situation unfolds little by little.
I know this is supposed to be The End Of The Line for this series, but I would totally support its continuation. I will say I like the new heroine for the new Emily James series. I thought it was very clever to introduce her this way. She is very different from Nikki, as is her circumstance, but she seems very clever. I am really excited for the release of the first book in that series.

Satisfying conclusion to an enjoyable series. This one's a good mystery in its own right, and it wraps up the ongoing series threads. I've enjoyed these characters. Because of the ongoing threads, although a reader could start with this book, it would be better to start at the beginning and watch it all play out.
