Be careful what you wish for or it might just happen. Or perhaps more accurately, be careful what you think because it will unfold just as you believe it will. At first, it really doesn’t sound like a problem. We might say, I’ll just think myself a Porsche or a huge raise at my job. Unfortunately, that’s not the way things work. Far too often, we may say one thing but hidden underneath is an unhealthy belief that ensures that this wish is never fulfilled. Basically, we are sabotaging ourselves right out of that Porsche or that big raise.

Before You Think Another Thought explores the power of human thought. The book contains short exercises that can be used to explore unhealthy beliefs and replace them with more loving messages. There are also some valuable sections about mirroring and self-responsibility.

Pretty decent read, definitely eye-opening as most self-help books aim to be. However, this book means nothing if you don't focus and try to apply the principles mentioned. I found value in the idea of thoughtforms-both negative and positive. Also talks about manifesting positivity in your life, and how it will reappear tenfold. Definitely happy I read this, and certainly found value in the words mentioned.

Quick read. This book provides insight into how your thoughts and beliefs can impact your life. It's like explaining the basis of Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), without the clinical terminology and premise. Like explaining REBT from a businessman's perspective.

Read years ago, clearing my shelves. Can't wait for the modern version, "How to ooze positivity during a pandemic."

Very quick read. Simple and easy concepts to motivate some self reflection on how we let our thoughts get away from us and how to wrangle them to our benefit.

This book proved itself to be very impactful and insightful in my day-to-day life. I have built a small notebook where I keep record of the negative perspectives that have comsumed my life, and I plan to log my progress as these perspectives change.

The book is extremely easy to read, and its not long at all. There are even illustrations to appease minor challenges in attention span. I took the liberty to research the author. I reached out to him to let him know how I was touched. Of course I told him about my nonprofit organization and asked if he would come to visit my free community breakfast someday. He was gracious to send us several copies of his newest book, and a powerpoint presentation that we can use for group discussions. Im thrilled!

Another book for work. Much better than the last one we were asked to read. It takes a basic concept, one which we all are familiar with, and breaks it down with an explanation. It's not over the top. It just makes sense.

I read this about 10 years before "The Secret" came out. Yeah... this will help you change THE WAY that you think.
