Rate this book
Home of Consequence is the third book in a series that continues the tale of Nameless and his bond-mates as they return home and try to resume their lives while grappling with loss. All while knowing that a dark threat still looms.
WARNING: This is a work of erotic fantasy, there is nudity, swearing, a fair bit of violence, and plenty of naughty sex between man (and woman) and monster girl/girls. If that isn’t your cup of tea please give this book a pass!

Very good book but

I've seen a lot of complaining about the pacing in this book and I can see why now. so many things happening that seem more drama/slice of life with no real point to the over all but it all adds up in a good way with older characters becoming important for more important futures. The only thing I couldn't stand was nameless being such a little bitch for so long and doing nothing worthwile. Like I understand this was kind of a transition period for him in the entire series of books. But other than the end his only accomplishment was building a damn fence. If he had a goal or something it would have been more bearable. Something to see him moving forward even if he was dealing horribly with the guilt during it.

Now I say that but I understand that is how nameless has been built to be. But my main point is it was almost too much. It took too long in the entire book for him to get slapped and told to do something about it all. Nameless as a character needs more than just the ability to bring girls from the dark. With him finally joining up i hope you use this chance to really strengthen him up. Body and mind. He's gotten over most of his nervousness now so it's time for the man to add some bite to his bark. I look forward to the direction you go with the next book.

This book had a huge drop off in rating from the last book. The story was just so slow. There was so much whining going on. I know a friend and potential lover died in the last book but the last thing a reader wants to do is sit around reading about people moping for half the story. Almost nothing happened that actually drove the story until the actual end. Overall this book was a disappointment. I already have the next book in the series so I will continue, I hope this book was just an anomaly and the next book is better.

I found this one a slog to get through. The mourning of the death of Kar in the previous book was dragging the whole thing down for at least the first 1/2 of the book. The amount of the book dedicated to Cordelia further pulled things off course. Writing this review after reading the next two books I can see the author's intent, but it should have been executed more succinctly.

The story is pulled in too many directions. This could be better managed in books with less of the word count occupied by sex scenes, so the author made some decisions which bogged down the pacing. Not a bad book, but not the high point of the series.

Excellent

Far less action than previous books, but very rewarding in plot and character development. We get a chance to rest somewhat before the action gets crazy again, and we watch Nameless and his bond mates increase their love and strength. We also get to see previously untapped characters grow up too, which is done well here. The book climaxes (heh) with a good fight and a thrilling change. Very nicely done. If you’ve followed the series so far then you’ll enjoy this addition quite a bit. Recommended.

A fitting tribute to a loved one. The death of Kar overshadowed the family and rightly so. The grief is real and is treated realistically and spectacularly. They greive, console each other, and realize that Kar will always be a part of them and they move on together. Not a lot was done to progress the main plot but that's okay. We needed time to heal and when there was a little action, it felt earned and deserved. I can't wait for Book 4.

Great Continuation

Another Great book in the series. This one was a little slower but made up for it with emphasis on more in depth character development, that's one of the great things about this series. He does an incredible job bringing the characters to life.

Highly recommend and can't wait for the next installment

Not as good as first two

This book was not as good as the previous ones, the first half of the book was filler aside from the prologue. It was good filler but still contributed very little to the plot. It was just nameless wallowing in self pity.

Quite possibly the best of the Harem genre, absolutely my favorite
The Heartstone Saga are those rarest of books that exceed expectations.
I'm totally enamored with Harem / Male erotica novels, but each one disappoints in a slightly different way, even my favorites. With the exception of these books by Archibald Bradford.
Home of Consequence (book 3) is right back up to the stellar standard set by book 1.

I love where this is going and how it's getting there. and the sex scenes are really hot.

Slow and steady

Another solid entry to the series. Book 3 all and all was a good ready, mostly it focuses on the secondary characters and it takes a break from all the fast pace adventures, really tries to work out the plot which I say was a good welcome. I will say again that the character development was amazing, especially Nameless and his girls trying to over come the loss of Kar. I'm glad the series took this book to build up to what's coming next. we get to see the secondary characters come together and have growth that was over due and will be escentuals for book 4.

So far this has been one of the better of the books in the series. The author's skills are improving and he is settling into the characters. I also like how the author does not explain every sexual encounter in graphic detail, leaving some scenes up to the imagination of the reader. Might have used a bit more humor, but I did find the scene in the lake funny, and love the puppy-dogish wolf girl bonded to the Aegis woman.

This series just keeps getting better!

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series; the characters are all unique and interestingly flawed. I can't wait to read the next one, and I hope he keeps on writing them.

another excellent book in the series

This book is a little slower paced than the first two, spends time flushing out the characters and less progression of the main story. I like to think of it as a more leisurely pace.

A plus

This series goes in my reread pile, that is rare. Humor, sex, passion, humility, wonderful personalities and all tied together with amazing stories. A plus

Picking up right after the rather tumultuous and heartbreaking ending of the second book, the third installment of The Heartstone Saga continues the story of Nameless and his bond mates as they come to grips with just what it means to be an empath in this world.
This book is a bit of a change of pace from the previous two, a slow build as Nameless and his mates deal with the heartbreak of the previous book. Dealing with loss, and how everyone faces it differently, seems to be the central theme of this installment. Nameless especially has a difficult time with it, since his very nature as an empath means he feels everyone else's grief on top of his own. This is smaller, more personal story than the first two books while also building things up to move forward.
This book is mainly about character growth for Nameless and his mates, but also for some side characters that we haven't seen since the first book. One in particular, who I won't spoil in this review, goes through a rather dramatic shift in personality, making them infinitely more likeable than they were in the first book. An enjoyable read from start to finish.
