I realized the structure of the collection only at the very end, when I was reading the part about Einstein or something; before that I was a bit puzzled by the order ancient-Russian-German-American-Russian-ancient, etc.; it turned out that it was simply based on the Russian alphabetical order. Some of the stories seemed forced, like the one about Kibalchich, who didn't really seem to have invented anything, but was simply a terrorist who liked to play with (probably misunderstood) physical ideas. But otherwise it's a great collection, and the one that gives a lot of food for thought; that is, it often hints at some details of the current protagonist's life, and leaves it to you to do your own research if you're interested. I remember the impression Golovanov's story about Halley's Comet made on me when it was published in 1986; this collection confirms that it was no coincidence.

Снизил немного оценку за перекос в сторону советских учёных и однообразно трагичное завершение каждой главы.
