Every day Charlie goes to sketch a beautiful building that’s been under construction. She’s drawn to it for some reason, and it makes her paints come alive. On the day the painting is to be finished, the St. Patrick’s Day parade is in town. But a run-in between her tray of paints and a big grouchy beast in a suit has her fleeing for safety.

Warren has never wanted someone the way he wants her. One chance encounter has got him searching every inch of the city for her. She can hide, but not for long. He’ll make her his, no matter what.

Like every of Alexa's stories, nothing heavy, big or deep.
A quick, funny, sweet, sexy and exaggerated plot.

description

Charlie is an artist, she loves painting, but she's also homeless.
She's sweet and children love her.
She finds herself drawn to Shade's building to paint it.
Not only that, but she's obsessed with it...

description

In St. Patrick’s Day parade, she meets Warren Shade.
Not in the best of ways...
Charlie throws at him more paint, green, of course.

description

Warren starts chasing Charlie through the parade, and nothing is going to stop him.
Though it is insta love and has all the usual nonsense, I've liked it.
The Community Centre is saved, and Charlie too...

It's Live!

Another cute, short and steamy read. Minimal angst and chocked full of instalove.

-no cheating
-no ow/om drama -
-instalove
-heroine is attacked but nothing of a sexual nature happened and it ended quickly
-just ok epilogue 1 year out

This has all the usual Alexa Riley ingredients. Down on her luck young virgin, a successful big handsome billionaire, insta-love, smutty scene and the HEA epilogue.

But it just felt too short. I mean these are never long books I know but this is only 73 pages long and it ends at 74%.

And I know I’m being picky here because let’s face it we don’t read these books for the conversation.
But it left a lot to be desired at times.

Anyway the rest is as expected just short.

It's a very short and cute story and I love how much he wants her! I was hooked from the very beginning. I devoured it!

The story is about Warren and Charlie.

He's a wealthy and powerful man. He came home from the Marines after his father died and he took over the family business.

She's on the street on St. Patrick's Day, painting the Shade building that is under construction. She's been doing that since the construction started and she has paintings on each stage of the construction.

He tripped over her paint materials and his suit was ruined. He's about to rant when he saw her and everything changed from that moment.

She ran away from him but he gets what he wants and he wants her.

It has an epilogue but I want more.

There's nothing better on a gloomy day, than to read AR books...
This one was, as per usual, a sweet and quick read. Maybe I wish it was longer but oh well... I still got my dose of sweetness for the day.

Extremely short and nothing new if you are familiar with AR smutty novellas.
Maybe I am just getting jaded but they seem to be lacking in any originality anymore and I probably need to stop reading them.
OK read if you are new to AR, have KU or don't mind the same repetitive formula.💋💋💋

Honey 🍯!!! I’ve noticed every heroine I’ve read about this week was blonde 👱‍♀️!! How is that possible??

However, let me say the stories have been lovely and the scenes are amazing 🤩!! But Warren has been one of the best because he has this lovely baritone that I just can’t get enough of !!

Cause what’s more charming then some rando knocking you over on the street and then grabbing you and forcibly holding you against his erection as you struggle to get away. Wtf.

WOW!

Charmed was jam packed with insta-love, smut, and had a creepy dude in it too. Charlie and Warren were really cute together. Even though their relationship basically went from 0-1 million real quick! First she was trying to play a little hard to get and the next moment she's sleeping with the dude.

Her boss was one creepy ass dude though. Even though his ending was super freaking predictable I still ended up loving the story. There was just something about Warren and Charlie that made me swoon. Yes, their relationship went from strangers to hey! they are married and have kids within like 50 pages or so. BUT I loved it. Yes, I'm weird. Yes, I will look for another book from Alexa.

I needed some cleansing after few "hard" read books. So Alexa Riley was my short read after. Either those books were super long or this was shorter then usual for them. I feel like I blinked and it was over. Too too short. Not even close to what I expected from these authors. Bummer.

Another great story. Loved this. I always love when they are together the whole story, doesn't matter how long the story is. Little om drama in the form of the h's boss, but it was handled quickly, not someone the h was interested in. Perfect read.

Why do I keep getting surprised about how unrealistic Alexa Riley books are? But more importantly, why do I always end up coming for more?

This was a super quick that I enjoyed fairly though I did roll my eyes extra hard at some parts, but it is exactly what you expect of the authors and I wouldn’t want it any other way.

This was a cute but sexy quick read! Loved Warren and Charlie's devotion for one another. Warren managed to make everything right in Charlie's world... really a sweet read! It would be interesting to see Andrew, Warren's driver and close friend find his lady love too!

I received an ARC via the author for an honest review

Charlie loves to paint and has been painting this one building throughout the course of its construction. During an St Patrick’s Day parade she literally gets bumped into Warren Shade, the owner of the building. As soon as he sees her, Warren know that she is his.

"I might be obessed. A little crazy."

Aww, you guys this was so cute and everyone should read it for St Patrick’s Day. At first I wasn’t sure if I would like Warren, but he let out is possessiveness and won me over. Charlie was cute and I loved seeing her working with the kids at the center. We had some romance and drama that made this book a breeze to read.

Charmed is a sweet and sassy novella that I devoured. It had everything that I needed in the moment and more. We get our classic virgin, super alpha male, insta-love and some additional bonuses.

We meet Charlie when she's on the street during a St. Patty's Day parade, drawing the new Shade building that is under construction. Something about this building just calls to her and she can't seem to get enough drawings of it. When the crowd literally knocks her into a handsome man with those deep blue eyes, Charlie feels the same kind of pull that she does with the building. Little did she know that that blue eyed man was about to be her entire world.

I think my favorite part of this story is how sassy Charlie is. When she runs away from Warren Shade and makes him chase her, I couldn't get enough. Here's this tiny petite blonde who is being chased by this former Marine though a St. Patty's Day parade. I was just as thrilled with the chase as Warren was. Plus, he didn't let a thing get in his way of making Charlie his.

If you are looking for a sweet, sassy and sexy novella with a deliciously possessive former marine alpha, then Charmed is that book for you. Go ahead and get it, you will love it!

Charlie is an artist, and there is a building downtown that she is obsessed with capturing its beauty. During March, it is St. Patrick's Day and the whole town is enjoying a parade. Charlie has set up next to her picture - a table for face painting and decorating a child's cheeks with green clovers. During the day, she is startled as Warren who owns the building she has been drawing ends up covered in her green paint. Gruff as he may be, he frightens Charlie but in doing so - he sees something that he likes in her and wants to get to know her more. During the rest of the book, we learn about Charlie's life - her love of painting, kids and her homelessness. Warren seeks her out to claim her as his own. Will Charlie be wooed by Warren or will he have to work a bit harder than usual to earn the love of the girl of his dreams. As usual, this was an easy, quick smutty read that when readers pick up an Alexa Riley - they know what to expect - no big surprises.

Alexa Riley recently released the audiobook version of this short, fun, ☘️ St. Patrick's Day story on their Read Me Romance podcast. So how could I resist? Yes this is mainly just your basic AR, but a few small bits stood out that I really liked:

● The MMC is pretty obnoxious at first, and there are consequences!
● The FMC has some backbone but is also pragmatic enough to accept help.
● She has a gay friend who is charming but not a cliché.
● Like so many MMCs, he's overcome with strange new OTT feelings. But here, other people give him some flack for it. It's not a lot, but I love seeing Alpha types get teased!

Other Notes:
● Audiobook is free on their podcast, and/or 99¢ for the eBook. (I bought it on Kobo, see AR's site for other options.)
● The book has an epilogue, but the audio version doesn't - it ends at their HFN.

Super sweet

While there are almost always errors, I will still read anything Alexa Riley writes. They are all safe (at least all that I've read are), especially the newer ones. I've been re-reading all their books because I need the sweet escapism right now to cleanse my mind of the non-safe and same old story/theme books that seem to be all that's being written right now.

Anyways, back to this story. I'm really glad I re-read this. It's totally safe with instalove, white knightness, and alpha maleness. Sorry if those words aren't real. They are now. This is basically a short modern fairytale, and I'm a sucker for those. I love happily ever afters. There's no ex or other people drama. It's just a nice sweet short that made me happy and didn't stress me out like some books do. If you like anything I mentioned, I definitely recommend reading this book.
