Take a leap of faith into a world unlike any you have ever known, one where mankind still remembers its foundations and all the earth is clothed in perpetual springtime. Here, angels and demons wage war for the souls of mankind, and man lives for hundreds of years, forever growing either in righteousness or in evil.
In these days, there are few who acknowledge where they have come from, few who keep hold of the one true God who wrought the world. For those who do, the blinders are ripped off and they see the truth: a world at war. Tucked just behind the veil of sense experience, battles rage and captives are taken as kingdoms collide and man is caught in the middle.
The shocking part is this: it’s our world. Discover the true story behind the origins of the world and experience the adventure of the times of the great biblical flood alongside characters like Noah, who finds his family caught up in the war for the survival of the human race.
In this fight against the forces of darkness and the deep wounds of their own souls, they will face great sacrifice and tragedy if they hope to reach the reward. Some of them will not make the journey, and those who do will never be the same.

Hello! I'm author Jonathan Macnab, a normal guy partnering with God and others to create beautiful things. But normal is glorious—as each of us is eternal and made in His image.
I enjoy literature where truth, faith, and imagination meet, so I write both realistic fiction and creative nonfiction. You can see the full scope of my work or connect with me at storyreborn.com. God has also given me a heart for spiritual renewal, to see the Church revived so people meet Jesus when they meet His people. Anyone who desires the same can walk with me arm-in-arm as we turn the world upside down.
I write stories because I believe that we all belong to one great story, and most of us live each day desperately trying to connect with that greater story but never quite finding our place in it. Every societal ill can be traced back to a lost place in the great story, and every truly noble pursuit in life is inspired by some piece of that grand metanarrative.
Stories speak to us at a deep, spiritual level, whether we intend them to do so or not, because each is a blurred image of some piece of the true story, and we are part of that story—God’s story. Finding our place in that story is the single most important thing we will ever do in our life, because all true life comes out of it.
So, I write. I write the stories of us all, because imagination is built into who we are. We are meant to dream, to see the unseen in our minds and hearts as we wait for it with bated breath, however long it may take. We are meant to create, because we were made in the image of the Creator, the only sovereign God—the Author!
Please, join me. Discover your place in the true story, and let's change the world together!
Arguably the best fictional storytelling of Noah, his family of 8 survivors on the Ark
I had given up on so-called Christian fiction since deleting over 250 books off my Fire tablet purchased since 2012 I was reading Jewish history books and other deep theology books by Craig Keener, etc. Then I saw a new author on my homepage named Jonathan Macnabb with an offering on Adam. Turned out to be really about Noah. Oh no...another one, or so I thought. I read the reviews, all 5 stars which makes me nervous anyway. I was intrigued though so I loaded the free sample....what's to lose? Ten pages in....I'm hooked. Couldn't put it down. Awesome characters with a marvelous style of working in Bible truth during everyday conversion. It was mesmerizing to say the least. I think I lost weight due to lack of food. Great way to lose unwanted pounds but seriously...This is a gifted writer with a promising talent using words and the Bible for subject matter. Watch him in the next few years. Move over JRR Tolkien. Macnabb has an imaginative mind and uses it like a master craftsman. Every word is woven into thrilling drama, suspense and even some tasteful romance. Nothing slick or sleazy. Just great writing from a new writer. Keep them coming Mr. Macnabb. We who love a good read salute you!
This is probably the best biblical fiction book I have ever read. It covers the years just prior to the Flood, delving into the lives of Methuselah, Noah, and the rest of his family. In the Bible itself we are given few details about many character's personal lives. This book was a creative and insightful look into how these people may have actually felt during that unstable period of history and how they very likely turned to God and relied on Him every step of the way. It is also a reminder that life is short, and encourages the reader to evaluate what is most important in their own life and to pursue God fully every day. I loved the opening chapter in the throne room of heaven. So intensely beautiful! The angels give the book a similar feeling to This Present Darkness by Frank Peretti. Highly recommended! *I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author via Voracious Readers Only*
I cannot lie. The beginning of this story left me confused. The first few chapters introduced new characters and new scenarios that made it difficult for me to establish a connection between all these people and what they had to do with the story.
My enthusiasm for this book turned into a slow drip. It took me a while to pick it again and I believe it was because I was expecting to see more of a story on Noah. The author did not go into much detail about the people who knew Noah or his neighbors. Or about how people probably mocked Noah and called him crazy.
The different storylines was distracting and was part of the reason I lost interest repeatedly.
This is the best book I've ever read about Noah and family. I especially liked the cast of Angels. Even though I know the story so well, you made me think about my own life and how I need to pay more attention to spending time with the Lord in thankfulness for His grace and forgiveness. This is a book everyone should read. Thank you!!
I chose this book because I love biblical fiction novels, and I'm so glad that I read this book. Such a splendid story about what it must have been like to go through such an ordeal. A vivid depiction of both worlds, the spirit world and the natural world. The ever present battle for our salvation always being fought. Looking forward to the next book!!
Entertaining, faith-building adventure that leaves you feeling refreshed and blessed. Good book for the entire family. Nothing in it to offend little ears or minds. What a treasure to find that these days! Creatively brings to life the story of our beginnings as recorded in Genesis, while staying true to scripture.
The story was good...and really brought life to the people and story if Noah. I love that it spoke of angels helping the family build the arc, that makes so much sense. The writing wasn't always my favorite, but the life the story gave to the way I imagine this time truly happening was a favorite. It paints an accurate picture if spiritual warfare and the reality of it.
I loved this book! This is a great Christian historical fiction story following Noah and his family. I loved the perspective that Jonathan took not only from each member of Noah’s family but also from the spiritual realm and the angel’s perspective. A great read for anyone, teens to adults.
I really enjoyed this book. I don't think there are enough books like this out there. The only thing I thought was incorrect was the amount of time he portrayed the arm being built. But overall it was great.
I would recommend to all readers to read this book. It will keep your attention until the very end. This story, based on the truth, is written very well. How great is our God.
Sin, demons, Lucifer, God’s love, mercy, grace, and redemption all play out in this interesting retelling of the Bible story. New Testament Scriptures are used. More details of Noah and his family than in the Bible are use$ in the story. I enjoyed this version.
Well written, imaginative, leads the reader on an adventure into the pre-deluvian era. Not exactly biblically accurate, but entertaining and often exciting.
