The CEO's Lucky Charm

Rate this book
She's hurting and it's tearing me up.

"Are you okay?"
"Yes, yes, I just love you so much." She smiles, but something is off.
"Me too, luv. I swear, when you move in, everything will be fine.
"Ahhh... about that..."

Grayson
Her voice is too curt and her shifty look, downright confusing. I'm pretty sure she's asking for help and it gets me to thinking. Four weeks ago, I almost lost her to hypothermia while her employer, my ex-roommate, chased her into the woods. What if he's back? Maybe that's why she's acting so strange. Whatever the reason, I'm sure as h-ll not letting her go. To keep safe what's mine, I'll fight to the death.

Isabella
I thought my old boss was in an island in the Caribbean until he broke into my bedroom. Now, he's threatening everyone I love, intent on revenge. He may have blackmail but I got something way better; fifteen uncles with loaded shotguns and one seriously pissed-off fiancé.

Famous entrepreneur, Grayson Patten III, has just taken control of his father's company where a former CEO embezzled millions. Three fries short of a happy meal, Xavier Cross is determined to ruin Grayson, steal his woman, and make his life a living hell.

Please note that all of Stella's 'Players' romances are stand-alone. Each is based in NYC with intersecting plots and characters and can be savored in any delicious order.

Amazon Best Seller Stella Marie Alden loves Zumba, yoga, watercolor painting, and all genres of romances.

Her first book, ‘How to Train Your Knight’, won Romance Writers of America coveted Molly and Show me the Sparks Contests, and placed in four others.
Truly remarkable, considering she’s only been writing for three years.

Growing up in Vermont, she loved to make up stories. Crayons fought each other over size and placement in their cardboard box and imaginary friends crowded the house. Her brother often complained. “Tell her no one’s here, Mother.".

Her career paths have varied. She’s been a librarian, a classical clarinetist wanna-be, recording studio engineer, broadcast electronics repairman, and now she architects software programs.

She lives in Bergen County, NJ with her life-long hero and their two cats. Her two girls are grown but ever supportive. You go Mom!

Neither blackmail nor threats can stop true love
The CEO's Lucky Charm is a fascinating read. Fast-paced, suspenseful and steamy. And, while this book is a continuation of The CEO's Valentine, one does not need to read it to follow the story. But, a second dose of Gray Patten? Yes please and thank you very much! Gray is a billionaire CEO who is not just a suit behind the desk. He is one hot alpha dude who knows how to rock Izzy's world as well as understand her needs (in and out of the bedroom). Izzy is a strong independent woman without being too stubborn about it. She finds a way to help herself while also allowing Gray to be there for her as well.
The CEO's Lucky Charm takes you on a journey that tests Gray & Izzy's resolve and shows how fiercely protective both of them are for one another and especially Izzy's family. There is also a brief exploration of Izzy's childhood trauma which brings them closer, their love for one another stronger, facilitates and fosters communication.
There is once again a HEA for Gray and Izzy, but the antagonist and his revenge is suspiciously unresolved and this reader is left wondering... is it really done????

It was great catching up with Grayson and Isabella again. This novella has a lot going on. Just when you thought they had seen the last of Xavier, he shows up again to wreak havoc on the couple. But as the story unfolds, I am not too sure we have seen the last of the evil conman.
Even though this is a quick read, this story is wonderful and with all the twists and turns I had to read it in one sitting.
Wouldn't be surprised if there is a book 3.

This is the second book in this saga. The CEO’s Valentine has to be read before this novella. Both are novellas and both have main characters Isabella Harte, Grayson Patten, and Xavier Cross.

This is a fast-moving story and a lot happens in a very short amount of time. But it is a pretty good story. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy for my honest review.

Xavier’s back and out for revenge. Isabella is being threatened and Grayson has to figure out what is happening. Lots of mystery, subterfuge, threats and corporate espionage help make this an exciting book. I love Isabella’s family, they are so down to earth and quite believable. Another enjoyable book in this series.

t is best if you read The CEO’s Valentine before reading this book. After steeling millions from Grayson’s father’s company and trying to kill Isabella Harte, Xavier Cross is back in the US blackmailing Isabella and trying to destroy Grayson. Not only does Xavier get physical with Isabella hurting her, he also brings so much heartache for Isabella with his blackmailing. There are some suspenseful scenes.

I was glad to see that Isabella is a fighter and how she fights back. Grayson is so loyal to Isabella, that he knows something is wrong and fights to find out what is going on with Isabella. I loved her large family in Minnesota and how they all fought back. They were great. I enjoyed reading this book.

There is a second story called Kit after The CEO’s Luck Charm is finished. The book is called Kit and was OK. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book.

The CEO’s Lucky Charm by Stella Marie Alden is a continuation of her previous novel The CEO’s Valentine. Main characters are Isabella Harte, Grayson Patten and Xavier Cross. This is an extremely fast moving novel just as was the previous story so if you haven’t read Valentine first I would read it first just to be able to keep up.

Isabella Harte works for Grayson Patten and they fall in love in The CEO’s Valentine. Xavier Cross is Isabella’s boss and has embezzled money from the company. In Valentine he tries to kill Isabella and Grayson and disappear with the money. In Lucky Charm he is back and blackmailing Isabella into taking the fall for the stolen money.

Lucky Charm is the 2nd book I’ve read by Stella Marie Alden and both really failed to grab my attention in a good way. Lucky Charm was written in a very fast paced style (as Valentine was) and just ended the main story ¾ of the way through. I had to go back and check if I’d missed something along the way but the story just jumped to the HEA without resolution.

I did enjoy the family interaction when Isabella and Grayson (along with Slate who deserves his own story if he hasn’t had one already) headed to her hometown and met with her extended family. I also enjoyed the interaction between Slate and Grayson in both novels.

Not having read any other books by this author I don’t know if this is the standard format for her writing or if it is just for this series, either way I’m confused and left unsatisfied. I know I am not going to like every single author or novel but it really hurts to write a review reflecting that. I received an advance ebook without expectations for review, all opinions expressed are my own. If interested, please see my other review for The CEO’s Valentine.

Another fantastic read by Stella Marie Alden I totally love her books, if you have read the CEO’s Valentine then you will know these characters Grayson, Isabella and the horrible Xavier Cross. This is the next one to the series but it can be read as a standalone but if you want to know what happened leading up to this book then you can read the CEO’s Valentine. Xavier is up to no good again and this time he blackmails and threatens Isabella by telling her that he will kidnap her niece and sell her and Isabella will never be able to find her, he also tells her to dump Grayson and she does the next day making the excuse that they haven’t known each other for that long. Grayson is not a silly man he knows Isabella is crying out for help but Isabella refuses to talk to him. I absolutely loved this story, Isabella is a very strong woman and I like that in a heroine. Grayson is so devoted to Isabella and he knows when something is wrong with her he just doesn’t yet know what that is but he is determined to find out. A fantastic read and I can’t brag enough about this book, great characters even the bad guy Xavier who you love to hate. I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read. I loved it and I know you will too.

Stella Marie has written a beautiful quick steamy read. I loved this book so much that I read it twice. Although this is a continuation from “The CEO's Valentine”, I didn't have any problems with the story and it can be read as a stand-alone. Isabella is beautiful and intelligent and is tired of not being valued for her contribution to the company. Grayson thinks that Isabella is exaggerating her claims that woman are treated differently and poorly in his father's company. Xavier is Isabella's immediate boss, has a poor opinion of women and treats them horribly and is an embezzler. “The CEO's Lucky Charm” contains humor, sexual tension, action, suspense, misunderstandings, attempted murder and romance. Wonderful story! Wonderful characters! A MUST READ.

I received a free copy of this book via Bookfunnel and am voluntarily leaving a review. A very good read. Isabella is threatened by Xavier and has to break up with Grayson or else there are dire consequences. Grayson is trying to figure out what is going on with Isabella/Izzy/Bella. Xavier is hot on her trail with electronic surveillance and an implanted GPS tracker on Isabella. What Xavier wants is still not clear. Will his blackmail of Izzy get to her? Will she fold under the pressure? A quick read and an enjoyable read. If you had a chance to read the previous book it helps to make more sense; As from page one we jump right into the action. Recommend.

I highly recommend you read The CEO's Valentine, as there are tie-ins to this novella, and most of the story will probably make more sense. TRIGGER WARNING- there might be some topics that are difficult to read

Grayson and Isabella are trying to make a life together, heal her past, and overcome some obstacles. The story seemed to move a little too quickly for me, and the back and forth between Adam and Isabella made my head hurt. It was fun meeting new characters in this novella, and I hope to read more of the series.

Please note that I did receive an ARC of this book, and the opinions expressed in this review are my own.

Stella Marie Alden is a genius and writer extraordinaire and does it again better than ever. I absolutely adore Izzy and Gray. They make such an amazing couple. Their personalities are even better than the last one. I love Izzy's family and how great they are. This story has so many characters that it makes it feel so realistic. There is so much drama, suspense, action, and of course hot romance packed into this story it just amazing. It is a quick read but my goodness it doesn’t leave you hanging. This is definitely worth reading and it doesn’t disappoint. I voluntarily review an advanced reader copy of this book.

A amazing book about isabella who gets beaten up and threatened by her ex boyfriend and he threatens to hurt her niece.

She has a new fiance now called grayson but her ex boyfriend makes her lie to grayson and tell him she wants to break up or he will hurt her niece.

This is a book i couldnt put down it has the right amount of sexual tension and attraction between grayson and isabella to keep you hooked and it keeps you wondering how will isabella get away from her ex boyfriend?

A very well written story with great storyline and plot. The characters are likeable and well described. They develop nicely through the story. They are very strong characters.
A sursprising story that is not what I expected. It has twists that just kept me on the edge and I had to read it in one session.
A story with family issues, ex-partners, blackmailing, suspence, fun, steamy scenes, great chemistry, emotional ups and downs.
A story about not giving up but fight for your HEA.

A Review of The CEO's Lucky Charm by Stella Marie Alden

Grayson and Izzy - 4.5 Stars

This is the second book in the series regarding Grayson and Izzy. With a major twist at the very beginning that you don't see coming, you start out on the edge of your seat and it just keeps you there the rest of the story. Definitely worth picking this one up to get the total storyline.

I purchased The CEO's Lucky Charm by Stella Marie Alden and this review was given freely.
Xavier Cross returns for revenge on Grayson Patten and Isabelle starting by controlling Isabelle via technology and by targeting her young niece. This complex fast paced erotic suspense novel has a dramatic and violent opening and then alternates between violent and steamy scenes ending with a wedding and two cliffhangers.

This is a charming, fun and steamy romantic suspense novella. It has a well written, engaging plot and entertaining characters. This book continues Grayson and Isabella's story from The CEO's Valentine and that book should be read first. With drama, danger and great chemistry this book is a very good read. I'm posting a totally honest, voluntary review after reading this book.

I do recommend reading this books in order to understand it better. This is a fast paced read with loads of drama and suspense. Xavier is back in the US and using Isabella, will Grayson figure out what is going on in time? Grayson and Isabella are great characters and the story really draws you in. I really liked it.

What a wonderful way to continue on with the story. We see how they have to overcome so much but still in the back of their minds the what ifs, the not knowing. I was emotional torn it why might happen. You are always smiling though as the face each new challenge. I can't wait to see what happens next. 5 stars. Well the action hasn't ended and neither has the fun. These two still can't keep their hands to themselves in this passionate continuation of their fun and troubles. Because yes troubles is what they have and it leads them on an exciting adventure. Fun stuff from this author with great characters and loads of steamy scenes.

A 3 1/2⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars from me! A continuation of the CEO’s Valentine, Grayson and Isabella are trying to move on when Xavier Cross pops back in. This is a fast paced, twisty read, but you’re left with a bit of a big loose end. Overall, a solid, fun read.

I really enjoyed this book! It was tense at times, and at other times I was dying of laughter! The book was very well written, with some interesting plot twists. The behavior of all the characters was believable and in character. The book dealt with some sexual abuse issues, and I was impressed with how delicately the author presented the issues, and how in depth the book was on that topic.

I liked this one, it starts a little bit darker, definitely kept me on the edge of my seat. It does say it can be read as a stand-alone but I think you'll get a better feel for the couple, Grayson and Isabella, along with the troubles with Xavier if you read The CEO's Valentine first.
