This is a good collection of stories that remind us of the ways of being. My favorite is the part "Forms That Are Forgotten."
There used to be a man who looked deformed. People who first saw him were afraid. But if they had a chance to get close to him, they would not want to leave him. Even kings would like to offer him the throne as a better ruler.
This man had an amiable heart that people feel very attached to and appealed to. Why? Perhaps his heart is like a huge body of water that would not be easily affected by wind or rain. And that is how we should tend to our hearts. Be kind, and be broad.
