This book did get better. There seemed to more to the story then just go down to earth kill vampires get parts and repeat. Hopefully we get more depth and story with book 3. This was a 3.5 star read.
It was a lot of fun, this vampire series. Fast paced with believable characters. The setting, a post apocalyptic earth, was a new one for me but it really worked.
At the conclusion of Book 1, the team from New Haven had to make another dangerous surface mission to Norad in El Paso County, Colorado to find the control board they needed to repair New Haven’s reactor. Gaining access to Norad they discovered incognito vampires, led by Jadon, along with surviving humans inside the facility. Back on New Haven, an obvious rescue mission was being formed by the still-injured CB and recruits. Well, the story expands its vampire types, like good vs. bad. The bloody fight, pro vs con for the reclamation of the earth continues. Ground missions and New Haven were always looking for spare parts. The facility to begin reclamation had been chosen by Flemming. It was up to GMT to clear it. The second new twist in the story is Norad. Goodreads did not have the Publisher’s Pack Books 1-2, so I had to use the single Books 1 & 2 for bookmarks.
If you want action and vampires with apocalypse feel get to reading
So I started listening to this series on audio it was so good I had to finish it off in book form only cause I can read faster . I always love to read about a strong intelligence women like Alex . There a lot happening and instead of a zombie apocalypse it's a vampire apocalypse . I'm more of a romance reader but I love paranormal , alien, shifter and supernatural stuff as long as it has some romance to it. This book reminds me more of the world war Z movie .
A good continuation from the first book. Very enjoyable but I am surprised by how stupid the protagonist is, it’s frustrating at times. I’m also frustrated that the leader of the underground base is about as stupid as the protagonist. But if you want the story to progress then you have to come to terms with some of these things. I did, just a little frustrated, and once I did I really enjoyed the book the two writers have constructed. If you like a series of books about rip your throat out vampires, this is for you. A great read, 4 stars
This second book is more of a bridge with all the positives and negatives (right Marvel?) but still written in a fun way and it’s really good that it was short. Like one of those good action movies that lasted 90 minutes (we were happy but didn’t know it). I’m fully invested now and tomorrow have a 12 hour flight, so let’s do this Books 3 and 4! Have fun, I’m certainly having it!
I am amazed I haven’t read these books, or even heard of them, before! The second book in this series does not disappoint. There’s a little more political maneuvering than the first but it adds to it immensely. I LOVE the lead Vampire and the characters are developing more! Love it!
I am surprised at how much I'm enjoying this saga. It's action packed, full of political intrigue and enemies by way of vampires and fellow humans with different agendas. Its a fun adventure romp in the supernatural post-apocalyptic world with a strong female lead. Curious to see how the story plays out.
The problem I have in reviewing a book is spoilers well let's just say it's got bad vampires good vampires bad humans good humans swords guns what more could you want? Did I mention evil politicians ? So there are/is an evil politician 😮 and some really neive (did I spell that right? The whole I before e thing) any way neive people.
I'm still upset that I read it so fast!. It was so good I had to keep reading chapter after chapter even when I had planned to stop. The series is getting so interesting I can't wait for the next one. Hurry up May 10th! !!
This is one if not the best damn series on vampires I’ve ever read. I like how it’s detailed about intelligent versus feral vamps. The only thing missing is the technology about how the airship remains aloft. But, uh Alex and GMT on point.
These two authors have yet to disappoint me. Lots of action that keeps you turning the pages. I am looking forward to the next book. If you like action, suspense and a bit of dark humor this is the series for you. Great job!!
This book got better than the Savage Earth. It had lot more things going on and the problems the city was facing were a bit cliche. Loved the way they portrayed the True vampires. Flemming stuff was a bit tedious. So i would rate this at 3.5 stars. (wink wink Good reads allow is .5 ratings)

It's been a while since I last enjoyed a series so much, this is a really well crafted post apocalyptic world and I bet it would make a super movie! Now on to the next instalment...
Is it just me or is this book taking a nose dive. Okay so you want to re-populate the earth. Vampires bad, sunlight good, battle, battle, battle, then people just tart going crazy. I'm not sure what to think might happen in book 3.
Just amazing how it's all coming together like masters playing chess the leaders all try to out Hanover each other .. With some bloody battles thrown into the mix
A slower pace than the excitement of the first book but with another twist that I didn’t expect. Again it ended in a cliffhanger so I’ll have to get the next book to find out what happens.
