Rodney Howard-Browne is a Charismatic Christian preacher and evangelist. He is pastor of The River at Tampa Bay, a church which he and his wife founded in 1996, and heads Revival Ministries International. He was born in South Africa and has resided in Tampa, Florida, USA since the mid-1990s.

This book covers the 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit mentioned in 1 Corinthians 12. They being:

The Gifts of Utterance
1. Prophecy
2. Divers (diverse) kinds of tongues
3. Interpretation of tongues

The Gifts of Power
1. The gift of faith
2. The working of miracles
3. The gift of healing(s)

The Gifts of Revelation
1. The word of knowledge
2. The word of wisdom
3. Discerning of spirits

He says,
"1. Three of them say something (Gifts of Utterance)
2. Three of them do something (Gifts of Power)
3. Three of them reveal something (Gifts of Revelation)"

You will find humor weaved throughout his message. This book by no means covers all the gifts of the Spirit. For further study on the gifts of the Spirit, I would recommend C. Peter Wagner's book Your Spiritual Gifts Can Help Your Church Grow. The author readily admits this by writing, "This book is by no means comprehensive-it is just enough to whet your appetite and hunger for more of God."

God doesn't want us to be unaware of spiritual gifts and this book will educate you and hopefully ignite you to exercise your God-given gifts. The Bible says, "Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant." (1 Corinthians 12:1, KJV)

I love reading Pastor Rodney's books, you can feel the anointing on them when you read them. This book is a summary of the gifts of the spirit.
