Prince Dimitrie Cantemir: Theorist and Composer of Turkish Music
Eugenia Popescu-Judetz published her comprehensive monograph entitled Dimitrie Cantemir - Cartea Stinitei Muzicii, which she wrote in Romanian, in 1973. The present work is her second book on the same subject and adds much new and valuable material to her original work. Popescu-Judetz has made a profound study of Cantemir and her evaluations of Turkish manuscripts on music are penetrating. This fact reveals itself in the essays she has been publishing since the 1960's and most prominently in her Romanian book on Cantemir.
