My love of reading started when i was young, and it gives me immense pleasure to provide books to Spread the Word Nevada, an organization that passes them on to children in the community. They are a terrific organization supporting an important cause. If your local I encourage you to check them out. For those living further a field, look in your own community, their may already be a similar program in place. And if not, you can always help start on.
Myself, I go out on the weekends and shop thrift store and bulk book lots to rescue books and donate them. Sometimes I'll find a book I remember reading when I was young and will read it again before passing it on.
I don't rate these books using my normal scale, instead I give most of them three stars. This isn't a Criticism of the book, simply my way of rating them as good for children.
I read this to the daycare kids and they loved it. It was a little long for the younger kids, but they kids really liked to see how it was alike and different than the movie. I might not read this in my class but I could recommend it for other kids to read. It might help for students with a disability to somewhat know what to expect. It could help them read and predict.
I watched the movie and read this book. a adult version to this would be George of the jungle, both jungle men but the difference is that I don't think Tarzan ever left his home. my favorite character would be Jane. my thoughts on this book is it's a good book for children. a heartwarming and fun to read book
Victoria Saxon's reimagining of Tarzan is an exciting retelling that adds a beautiful Disney touch into the classic story. I was impressed with Saxon's creative narrative especially the way she combined the magic of Disney with the well-known components of the Tarzan tale. The book's remarkable quality is Saxon's ability to immerse readers in the heart of the forest. Victoria Saxon's entertaining novel, Disney's Tarzan, offers a fresh perspective on the well-known story while perfectly encapsulating the essence of the animated masterpiece. This isn't a book I would say "WOW" but the novel its still a great book in my opinion. This novel is an absolute must-read, regardless of your familiarity with Tarzan's experiences in the jungle or not.
I love the ape man with his mate Jane Porter and her father!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tarzan's mommy is beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know that it seems silly to review a children´s book, but if I were a parent and was searching for reading material for my children I would like to see at least a couple. These Ladybird editions of stories were my favourite when I was a child and I would spend hours and hours re-reading them. They are incredibly easy to read and the illustrations are absolutely beautiful. I 100% recommend them.
A good book for young readers! It stays true to the Tarzan cartoon movie. Though much abridged, it does a good job of setting up everything and concluding!
Good story and illustrations, and the overall message of the story is important and powerful for children to learn. There's something really endearing about the animation style, and the movie has always been a favorite of mine when it comes to the Disney movie collection. This particular storybook has a lot of pages and the story is detailed and engaging, and hits on all the major points of the movie and some. The characters are really sweet.
I absolutely adore the story of Tarzan! It's such an amazing story about belonging and love and family. This book was great and told the whole story. I would have like it to be longer and more detailed but that is hard to do in children's stories sometimes. I would recommend it to Disney fans or anyone who has not yet seen or heard the amazing story of Tarzan.
anyone who wants to read about tarzan should read thje books of edgar rice burroughs, not waste their time with this watered down shadow of the lord of the jungle. mr burroughs must be spinning in his grave like a top.
Though as I did buy this to read to a child, maybe the one star is a bit harsh...ah well.
