Book 1:
"had me gripped right from the start, I absolutely loved every second of it! A hot, sexy dominant male who is also a Vampire? Yes please! Tristan, you can bite me any time. It was everything I want in a book - sexy, steamy, disturbing but also hearts and flowers"
"Holy bloodsucking sh*t" I read this book in 3 hours!!! I literally couldn't put it down !!”
"This is by far one of the best vampire stories I've ever read, and I've read A LOT. It's like twilight for adults;)"

Book 2:
"holy twists and turns batman!!!! Bloody effing brilliant book.."
"This is the most craziest, f**ked up book I have ever read... BUT weird enough I LIKED it AGAIN. *gasps*"

Book 3:
“Omg I loved that. I waited for this and I can't believe its over. Such a brilliant series. I felt the love between kyla and tristan. One of the best series I have read"
"Tristan and Kyla.....how I adore the...this trilogy took us up and down side to side and inside out! The twists and turns and never ending yummy darkness..."
"5 bloody stars! I don't give them out easily anymore. I loved this story from the beginning and all I can say is... "What a perfect end to a wonderful series! Tristan and Kyla's story was so different from the typical vampire romance. I know there was a lot of romance in this series but it wasn't cheesy and if you have read it from the beginning you know that it took a lot of obstacles for their relationship to mature. My favourite thing about this series was that it wasn't predictable and for me that was refreshing!"

The first two books were beyond awesomely intense. Interesting. The final book though, was a mess. A long winded, confusing, jumbled up/rushed conclusion, to an otherwise great trilogy. Because of the final book, I could only give this an overall score of 3 stars. Which is a shame because the first two books really had me invested in these characters and the plots surrounding them. The conclusion really left me feeling like I was reading a completely different story. So many things going on and just not quite fitting or what I was hoping the final book would be like in it's reveals and execution of them.

Basically the journey in the final book leading to the close, went out with a yawn & not a bang.

Alright....first and foremost I am a self proclaimed vampire queen. I have easily read over 100 vampire books. I collect vampire books and own over 300(I have a huge tbr...I know) in paperback form. I have read everything from Twilight to Anne Rice.

That being said Nectar is, to date, my favorite vampire series I have read thus far! This is a DARK(ish) romance and may contain themes and scenes that make some uncomfortable but its oh so worth it. Tristan and Kyla are such an awesome couple. I adore them so. Tristan is so torn and possessive and just....amazing. Kyla has her own demons she is fighting. Together they are fire and gasoline.

I was so deeply entralled with this story and needing to know more about this vampire race that the Amazing DD Prince created that I constantly found myself wanting to do nothing more than tune everything out and drown myself in this world.

I found myself feeling so many emotions. Pain. Fear. Sadness. Joy. Just everything. I absolutely suggest this book for any vampire lover. Go in with an opened mind and prepare for it to be blown!

4 - stars for the trilogy **** 3.5 stars for book 1 *** 4 stars for book 2 **** 4.5 stars for book 3 ****

Trigger warning - dub-con/rape (she says no)

H - A controlling J/P alpha
h - argumentative, resists H and tries to leave him. There's a lot of push/pull in book 1, minor push/pull in book 2 and zero in book 3.

********MINOR SPOILERS********

In book 1 the h is delivered to him as a gift and he's instantly possessive and enthralled by her. She smells divine to him. Diii-viiiinne! He can't wait to f*ck her and won't take no for an answer. He doesn't care that she says no because she is a human after all. She's there for him to drink and screw. (That's how the vamps see humans.) When he goes down on her, her "essence" tastes exquisite. He's absolutely ravenous for her. As you can imagine, the sex happens right away and it's pretty dang steamy. The h resists the H is brilliant at pleasuring her and it feels so dang good to her that she's helpless to do anything else but endure multiple orgasms. :P

Normally, this H takes what he wants for women and then mesmerizes them to forget. Not so with the h. The h can't be mesmerized and the H has no intention of letting her go. He wants to keep her. The h doesn't want to be kept by a vampire and so she tries to leave him. This happens multiple times. I do love this type of scenerio in books. I would've loved it more here if she had actually gotten away from him for a period of time rather than just failed attempts at escape. It would've added another layer to the story. As it was, book 1 was my least favorite due to how much time the h spent locked in the H's bedroom and how much time she slept. There wasn't a lot more happening in book 1 other than fantastic sex and those few escape attempts. Towards the end of Book 1, the direction of the story changed and it increased my interest greatly. It ends on a cliffy.

Book 2 began shortly after book 1 ended. There was less sex in this book and more story. A lot of information was given to the reader and a lot happened. The h began to settle down and accept her relationship with the H. Love developed and tragedy occurred. The tragedy added a lot to the story imo. This book ended on a cliffy as well.

This brings us to book 3 - my favorite! I liked book 3 a lot! The story had significantly less sex but this was in favor of telling a truly unique story. *****spoiler****** The h was accidentally mesmerized. The H was heartbroken about this and I felt his love for the h. I loved the growth that occurred with the H and the journey he took from wanting to possess her body to truly loving her. I loved that. I loved reading about him trying to fix the h and bring her back to him. I pretty much devoured that portion of the story.

Overall, I would recommend this series to you if you're ok with the things I mentioned at the beginning of this and are ok with a book that has some minor editing issues. Read the preview and see what you think of the author's writing style. This isn't a favorite of mine but I did enjoy it and think that many here will too.

I recommend this trilogy, it’s to die for. The story of Tristan and Kayla has got me hooked from the beginning, it has taken hours of sleep from me and it was totally WORTH IT. My favorite book was undoubtedly the first one and here I leave you a few passages of the trilogy so you can get an idea of what awaits you.❤️Tristan.

Book 1:

“Wondering what’s happening, Kyla? I’ll tell you. You’re ripe and ready for me. Your body is responding to me even if your brain is fighting me. Will you surrender now or do you wanna fight with me so...

“You, your blood…” he said, “And you… wow. Lucid, responding, wet, hot, and you taste like that? What a birthday gift. Holy fuck.”

“It was the first time I wanted something, really wanted it, in so long. I just didn’t know how to take no for an answer and I lost it. I’m so sorry.”

“I’m over the defiance bit, baby. Stop fighting, okay? Let this happen. It feels right, doesn’t it? Give it a chance. Let yourself be mine.”

“When you got out of here, it woke me. I felt you moving farther and farther away and I felt that war you had going on in your head about whether or not to leave me. You made the wrong fucking choice.” He took a deep breath and continued, looking angrier. “When I was driving back here yesterday, while you were trying to escape, I could feel something was off then. I got here just in time to watch you try to leave me. When Joe showed you his fangs, I knew you were afraid. I knew what you felt when he tried to intimidate you. I felt your fear. Felt it.” He thumped his fist against his chest. “I feel what you feel. I know what your heart sounds like even if we’re not in the same room and I’d bet big money I could pick it out of a crowd blindfolded. After each feed this connection we have deepens and I get even stronger. I need your blood. Need it like it’s oxygen. I’m stronger and faster than I was before I tasted your blood, I can now remove or create barriers, and I feel when you get anxious, when you feel stress, when you want me, I feel all of it. There’s no point in you trying to leave me. The minute you do: I’ll feel it and I’ll stop you. Tonight, when you ran, I figured out I can track you. That’s new, too. Don’t try to get away again. You. Will. Fail.”

Kyla clawed at his arm, trying to get him to let go. “You’re hurting me,” she squeaked out. He let go, “That’s mutual, sweetheart.”“This thing we have is more real than anything you’ve ever felt and you damn well know it. How could you leave after what you felt tonight? I feel you fighting it every step of the way. This thing with us started that first time I tasted you and earlier tonight when you fell apart in my arms and wouldn’t let go of me? That solidified it. I have the fucking right, Kyla. Every fucking right. That was supposed to be the cementing of you becoming mine and it was fucking beautiful, the most beautiful moment in my life, your life too, and you just needed to fight it.”

“You know very little about my world but I’m telling you… you belong to me. It’s done.”

“It’s only been, what, a week and a half? But I’ve never felt like this. Nothing close to this. I think it’s love. I’ve fallen in love with you. Madly.”“I know you can feel it when we touch, when our eyes lock. I’ve been feeling your resolve melt bit by bit. It’s been fascinating. I keep feeling more things from you. More than anxiety and fear.” He touched her hair and ran his thumb up and down her ear, “I feel your passion when you’re angry, when you’re aroused. I feel fight in you that excites me even when you’re defying me. I love what I feel when you’re concentrating on something, like when you’re reading or watching those dancing stiffs. I can’t get enough of that zone you go into when you’re running on the treadmill. It makes me want to run and get in that same frame of mind. Be right where you are, you know? I’m still learning your different emotions but I’m feeling so many of them.” He caressed her face and touched his lips to hers. “I feel you opening up to how you feel about me, and I can feel your emotions growing stronger each day. I’m so glad you’re not still trying to push that away, princess. That’s a gift, you know? You’re giving me a beautiful gift by letting yourself feel this, letting this happen. I know you’re afraid. I’ll be strong for you, baby. Gimme that fear; let me crush it.”

won’t let anyone take you from me, baby. Tell me you’re mine, only mine,” he murmured, his lips vibrating against her throat as he kissed her. She felt goosebumps rise all over, “I’m yours, only yours,” she whispered. “And I’m yours,” he whispered. She felt his teeth slowly elongating against her clavicle.

didn’t stay because I’m afraid of you coming after me. I stayed because I’m afraid of how it would feel to be without you.”

Book 2:

“You can’t run away. I’m inside of you. You’re inside of me. If you try to run and actually succeed at escaping for a little while, you’d be miserable. And it’d only be for a little while because I’d find you and bring you back and I’d be angry. Angry Tristan is, I think we’ve established, someone you’d rather not deal with, right? And I’ll be hurt, too. Do you want to keep hurting me? You’re hurting me, Princess.

will not let you go. Ever. You were meant for me. You were created to be mine. Somehow I still have remnants of a soul and I know this deep in there.”

“And I do love you, too,” he whispered. “I love you more than breathing. More than blood, more than anything.”

“I’m the luckiest kidnapping, bloodsucking monster on the planet, you know that?”

Book 3:

“No fucking one will ever come between you and me again. I will inflict endless violence on anyone that tries to fuck with what we have. Do you hear me? This is non-negotiable, Kyla.”

“You’re mine forever, baby,” he said against her temple, “And I want it to be a good forever.” She nodded, “It will be. We deserve our happily ever after.”

“I want to spend my life giving you your happily ever after. Being one another’s all-we’ll-ever-need buffets. Hundreds of years, thousands of them, if we’re really lucky. Which we are. We are so lucky. I want you to be my wife. Will you marry me, Kyla?”

Holy J/P Hotness Batman!

This was my first time reading a DD Prince book and I was not disappointed! I hated Tristan in the beginning. I'm not going to lie he was a freaking jerkface. But he redeemed himself in my eyes. I love how possessive he was with Kyla. The steam was out of this world!! Definitely recommend this book!

I’m a big fan of the writer DD Prince’s books. The only books still on my TBR pile was the trilogy ‘Nectar’ that’s about vampires. So when I was in the mood for a paranormal story, I decided to give this trilogy a try and I’m happy that I did. This wasn’t my first vampire story, I had read others vampire books but the writer DD Prince still managed to surprise me with some things. The basics stayed the same (you can’t have a vampire that doesn’t love a bite) but the vampire world and rules were little different than other stories. Kyla and Tristan’s story was very interesting, emotional, steamy and intense. It was dark but I, personally, found it balanced between not too dark and not too light. I think it’s perfect if you want to try a dark read but also nothing too dark. It does have a few triggers, so It isn’t for the tender-hearted.

For each book in this box I have writing a separately review.

Book 1 : Nectar (4 stars)
This story is about Kyla Spencer, a human who is all alone in the world and who works very hard to build a better future for herself. But then one night, she is kidnapped outside of her workplace by two men. She wakes up in an unfamiliar bedroom where another stranger is watching her. A very handsome, alluring, arrogant, dominant stranger. During that night Kyla discovers that the man, whose name is Tristan, isn’t just a man. No, he’s a vampire! A vampire that doesn’t only want to have sex with her but he also wants to feed from her, by drinking her blood during sex! And that is the beginning of their story because once Tristan tastes her blood, he becomes obsessed with Kyla and her blood and he has no plans of letting her go. But Tristan may be a very dangerous vampire, the world where he lives in is even more dangerous. Can Tristan keep Kyla safe and can he convince her that they belong together?

I must say that it took me some time to really get into the story. I think that part of that was because for the last few weeks, I had read mostly sweet romance stories (and Nectar wasn’t sweet) and the other reason was because of the build-up of the story. Where other writers bombard you in the beginning of a new story with (sometimes too much) information and facts, here the opposite was the case. The vampire world was very slowly revealed to the reader (and also to the female main character Kyla) with a sentence here and there, very slowburn, so it took me some time to figure out the vampires and their world in this story. Because they felt a bit different than vampires in other stories that I have read. The vampires here didn’t have problems with sunlight, they didn’t need to sleep during the day, they could eat food and drink alcohol. They did have fangs (you can’t be a vampire without them), they were also strong, beautiful and moved very quickly and some also had other extra talents.

But where the story was slowburn the connection between Tristan and Kyla was the total opposite of that, it was very fastburn. Right, from the first bite Tristan knew that Kyla was special and he tried to convince her of that in very sexy ways. Tristan was a very possessive, intelligent, dominant alpha vampire but he also had a softer and sweeter side that he only showed to Kyla. You could really feel his struggle with those two sides inside him, the dangerous vampire side and the softer, emotional ‘human’ side and because of that I could forgive him many things (just like Kyla did). Kyla was also a very fascinating character. She was strong, hardworking, independent, sassy but she was also very guarded with her feelings. But the one thing that I really appreciated about her is that although she shared her opinions very clearly with Tristan and sometimes very heatedly, she also knew when to stop arguing/fighting, she wasn’t being difficult just to be difficult. No! She was a human woman kidnapped and held prisoner and was very conflicted about that and especially about her emotions for the sensual and sexy vampire who kept her in his bedroom. For me, she acted very humanly on her situation.

The connection between Tristan and Kyla was intense, sexual, deep and mysterious. The story was intense with steamy sex scenes where the dangerous vampire took what he wanted and needed from the human woman (sex and blood) but to me, it never really felt like rape. Because from the first sex scene you could already feel the connection between them. But I can understand if other readers think differently about it. In the end, I enjoyed the story.

Book 2 : Ambrosia (3,75 stars)
Here, you get mostly Kyla’s POV in the story but now and then you also get a few thoughts from Tristan too. This story was darker then the first one.

In this story we learn a lot more of the vampire world and what a dangerous and predatory world it is! A lot of things become much clearer, not only for us (the readers) but also for Tristan and Kyla themselves, because it becomes more and more obvious that they are being manipulated by the royal vampires around them and that not everything is what it seems and everyone around them is keeping secrets and it becomes difficult to know who is a friend and who is an enemy.

This may be a vampire story but it also has a lot of suspense in it. Unlike other vampire stories that I have read in the past, the world created here is very dangerous, very predatory where a vampire can only rely on himself. The vampires with royal bloodlines only want two things, they want more and more power and ensure that their bloodline become better and stronger and they will do anything to accomplish that!

From the first book I have tried to predict what would come next in the story but Kyla and Tristan’s story is unpredictable, I just had to let got and enjoy their journey without thoughts of what could happen next. Their story is really a rollercoaster of emotions! The things that happens to Kyra (and Tristan) are very emotional and sometimes hard to read.

The connection between Kyla and Tristian is very intense, raw, all-consuming. It grows deeper with each book. I love both character very much. It’s wonderful to see how Tristan is fighting in his own dangerous way to protect Kyla and their love. It isn’t always easy because sometimes his vampire instinct takes over and that can be lethal. But he really tries for Kyla to be a better man/vampire.
Kyla is a very strong woman, that just like Tristan, she is fighting for their love. But it is extra hard for her because she’s a human fighting in a vampire world.

I found it very hard to rate this story. Because I really love the couple Tristan and Kyla but I felt less connected with the vampire world. It’s really predatory, dangerous and it’s very sad what happens with a turned vampire female. So tragic. In other vampire stories that I have read, there was almost always a brotherhood, a group of vampires that supported each other. And I missed that a bit in this story but that’s totally my personal view!! The writer did create a great and dangerous world, it was just a bit different than I was used too but that wasn’t a bad thing, just a different perspective of the vampire world.

Book 3 : Essence (4,5 stars)
This story was divided into two parts, in the first part we got Tristan’s POV and in the second part we got Kyla’s POV. I’m very happy that the writer did it this way. It made me understand Tristan’s character and feelings so much more. You really could feel Tristan’s despair, pain, guilt and love in the first part. It was so emotional. I loved that! But don’t worry, Tristan may now be more ‘human’ sensitive then in the first book that if he needs to be, he can still be very vampire ruthless and very deadly. In the he is an alpha, dominant vampire that is very protective of his woman.

Of the three books, this one was my favourite. I think because the main focus of the story was again on the couple Kyla and Tristan and their feelings. it was a little bit less dark then the second book (or to me it felt that way) but the story was still very emotional and intense and with each secret revealed there came a hopefulness in the story too.

After what happened in the previous book I was very curious what would happen next and the writer did a wonderful job of giving us the answers needed to leave this vampire world with a good feeling. All my questions were answered (I loved the epilogue(s)) and they may still have a hard and difficult route ahead of them but I have all confidence in this couple.

The secondary characters in this story were very interesting. It was lovely to discover new (family) characters and to get to know other familiar characters better.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!

I loved everything about these books! Also glad I read them as a trilogy, so I didn’t have to wait very long to figure out the cliffhangers. Tristan is positively amazing. Everything alpha, possessive, and sweet that a good hero should be. Kyla is strong and possessive, as well, and they make a perfect couple. The good guys are complex with their own issues, but the bad guys are really bad. Great stories and an awesome ending. Would love to read about their many babies and how things changed.

wow! delectable 😋

I never thought I would love a vampire book but this book and a trilogy to boot is Awesome!!!
Tristan and Kayla’s story is full of passion, love and danger. Tristan is the hot blue eyed vampire prince and Kayla is the human with very special
Blood.
This book is way better than Twilight. This should be made into a movie.
I’m truly enthralled how the story was written. The twist, the deceit, the confusion of who to trust or who to turn to for help is edge on the seat exciting.
I highly recommend this book and it’s already on my to be re-read books!

This is one of the better series I have read in awhile! The characters made you feel like you were a part of the book. The storyline really kept you guessing just what was going to happen next.
I sure hope there will be more stories from these characters. There was just about everything you could ask for in a series.
If you can, read this series. There is lots of action plus some comical things going on all through the whole book.

I loved reading this book. Best vamp trilogy ever! I couldn’t stop reading and now I’m sad because I finished the last book.

Once again…

…I have been blown away by another DD Prince series! I loved this so much! The love story between Tristan and Kyla was EPIC! All of the twists and turns were crazy, but the ending was absolutely PERFECT!

I can honestly say I have never read such an imaginative take on vampire lore before. Tristan is a delicious dominating alpha male who made my toes curl. Kyla's reactions seemed realistic to me if I were to be kidnapped by vampires. There is plenty of drama to keep you happily reading. I liked that there was a real story unfolding while the romance was the center. I enjoy reading this author's work.

FIVE FANTASTIC STARS!!!
I couldn't get enough of this series. DD Prince takes us on a dark journey into the world of vampires. This isn't your typical vamp story though. Expect the unexpected. DD takes us on quite the roller coaster ride throughout. I hope you love Tristan and Kyla's story just as much as I did. The entire series is amazing.
