The visit to the city has not gone to plan, and now, the pilots need to find the one thing they can’t do without. Accessories.
With the transformation from engineers to pilots, the ladies must fight the memories of their ancestors in order to keep their focus on finding the defensive weaponry that goes with their bots. The city holds the key to the weapons, but the bots are on the outside of the gates and the caches are on the inside.
Each ancient pilot knew where the weapons had been buried, and those memories are now pressed into service as the engineers break through the city gates to get what they need to save their own people.

Still have trouble identifying the different pairings of engineers and their bots. But the story arc is progressing nicely.

Loved it
The ladies and the bots, have saved not city. The war isn't over yet. They have prisoners to deal with. A fleet in space wanting to negotiate. What to do about the city.
A fun fast paced story. The Nine are mentioned as being enemies of the Tokkel. Wondering if they will show up. Another great series. Looking forward to the next book.

Good addition to the series. Each offering build on the one before. Look forward to the next chapter in the Innate Wright series. It is a unique story unfolding.

Finally bit the bullet. I hate the retelling of every scene from all the POVs, but I do enjoy the actual story.

At the halfway point, the engineers are now also pilots. Four to six hours ago Burning Day started.
Since the successful burn and initial attack, the bots have gone to the city and returned to the valley, enhanced. Differences between city and valley inhabitants have been noted and appear pronounced.
Prisoners and bounty have been taken but the war isn't close to over. The invaders are tricky but the Elders of Bot City have action for the pilots, their bots and some of the guard. Back to the city and on to the fourth book.

Still unsure about the series and this is book three. Maybe it's the lack of romance that has me see sawing on my level of enjoyment.
