That all changes when Wren decides she doesn’t want to live.

A woman battered and bruised from the inside out, with no will to live, needs a hero.

This is my second book I read in this series. This whole series is intented for NA audience. So the plot and the twist is pretty mild.

I do like the banter between Maniac and Wren. It is fun, grumpy and sweet. And that' s pretty much what I like about the book.

The rest I do not like. The chemistry between Maniac and Wren is cold. Even their banter can not help ignites the heat. Wren character is confusing since she has a sad past. It seems she just 'heal' by miracle. I need more depth into her healing process to like her.

Maniac is suppose to be the hero. But in this story, he becomes secondary character. His present is not prominent to be the main character.

Overall I do like this book.

This story is emotional, but also fun, and a little bit dark. The things Wren has gone through, no one would blame her for breaking. But she's strong, and even though the reason she & Maniac come together is because she slipped over her breaking point & needed care, that strength still shines through. I love how Maniac (aka Dalton) pushes her just enough to get her out of her head, but still knows when to back off & give her space.

The romance & friendships are spot on!

ALSO! When the girls get together - HILARIOUS! : )

Maniac was Winter Travers third book in the Fallen Lords MC series. It wasn’t my favorite in the series, but it was well written and enjoyable none the less.

We met Wren in book two, Pipe. We were left with the cliff hanger for her trying to kill herself. She had an ex in a rival MC that committed horrors on her and although she escaped she was mentally scarred for life. Maniac was assigned to guard her and took his job seriously. He was alpha, protective, bossy, arrogant and gorgeous but he was also gentle when it came to Wren. I loved everything about Maniac. It was a story of friendship and healing first, then the relationship.

Based on the cliff hanger from Pipe, I wasn’t sure how I was going to like this one. It will definitely set off suicide and abuse triggers for anyone with those triggers. Travers focused on the healing - and it wasn’t a quick heal. In reality, it would take awhile to get the feelings and emotions under control after such violations. I’m glad Travers didn’t skip over it lightly.

Other than that, there wasn’t much storyline. The MC conflict wasn’t very suspenseful or realistic but it did bring closure. True to the series, the supporting cast of women were humorous and crazy. It added a much needed dimension to the storyline.

Wrecker and Alice appear to be next in the series. They are totally opposites - Wrecker being fierce, controlling and broody, with Alice at a level of crazy beyond what we’ve seen so far - so it is full of promise for an explosively entertaining read and I can’t wait.

Let's start off by saying that we really are enjoying this series along with this current read.

We enjoyed the story as it was an emotional one that tugged at your heart strings .Wren one of the main character's has to been to hell and back and she needs a nudge into the living and Maniac is just the person to do that.

I liked Wren's character as she was just a little lost and broken inside but, when she choose to come out of her shell she was funny and had a sense of humor and I loved how she traded barbs and teased Maniac at every chance she could.

Wren-she was a strong women with a trouble past filled with betrayals, lies, rape, abuse yet somewhere inside the broken women she re-emerged from her pain and you saw the smart, sexy, fun girl that she was before the man she loved betrayed her trust and heart. As the story progressed I loved seeing Wren happy again she was one of those character's that you could not help but love.

I loved Maniac's character as he was patient, kind, had a sense of humor but, under all that niceness there lurked a very dark and dangerous man.I loved him from the onset of the story.

Overall we loved the story as it was about healing, revenge, romance and trusting someone with your heart once again. The romance story between and Maniac and Wren was super sweet and very touching.

The story also made as laugh out loud and smile every now and then.I loved Maniac and how he went about winning his girl as he did it with stealth and determination and he understood when to push and retreat to win his prize.I found him to have patience and kindness and humor in these situations and we loved each and every one of them.

Favorite part would be ending and I have to say that it was one of the most funniest scenes throughout the entire story and we loved every minute if reading it as we laughed out loud for several minutes. lol

We are loving this series as well as the characters they are fun and engaging all had amazing personalities and we loved reading about each and everyone one of them and we love revisiting them as the new stories emerge.

Favorite quote - "Pretty sure Wren could barbecue a flip-flop and it would taste amazing."

Writing and spelling mistakes are so much better than the earlier books. This one was darn good. This is Maniac's and Wren's book.

Wren is under the protection of the Fallen Lords. She was an old friend of another woman who is under their protection. Wren has gone through some bad stuff and the only therapist remotely close is a quack. Maniac is determined he is going to be the one to help her and bring her back around. She doesn't want his help if course but she is stuck with him.

There's an explosion, a baby and a looney tune friend not answering her phone...answers coming up in the next book

I have been a fan of Winter Travers since Lovin Lo and now with the Fallen Lord's MC she has made me love her books even more!

Wren has had it so bad she doesn't want to be here any more and tries to end it.

Manic wants her safe and these two have a love hate relationship because she won't open up.

I am not saying any more until this is out for awhile but let me just say this Winter Travers has done it again!!°

I was looking for a good motorcycle club book and thus checked this one out. It was OK. I'm sure it would be enjoyable for most but I think this is just not my jam anymore. I'm going to give these a break until further notice. I might try again next year...who knows.

Maniac…you melt me (not just my panties)

Well, the Fallen Lords certainly know how to pick their men! Maniac comes across as gruff and his interaction with Wren was Maniac ‘doing his job’ in Pipe and Nikki’s book. Or was it? Once you get past the emotional-break-your-heart-and-stomp-on-it opening of the book, you have so many feels going on in your head and heart, you physically want to reach out and hold Wren and tell her how much you love her and how strong she is. I cannot say enough how emotional that first glimpse into Wren’s life is. Once Maniac and Wren have one-on-one time, Maniac makes a battle plan to knock down her walls and put up mirrors surrounding Wren to show her what a strong, awesome, lovable person she is. Maniac is her babysitter, but so much more… he is the vehicle for her healing. Wren needs to see herself as others see her and Maniac is the man for the truth-telling job. I love the interaction between Maniac and Wren. He truly puts her needs first, but doesn’t hesitate to push her limits on her road to healing. His actions, words, and emotions are there for us to see and it truly is the little things in life that he does for Wren that back up his words. Wren has an abusive past to overcome and isn’t sure that being involved with another MC man will be any better the second time around…until Maniac shows her the difference between her past and her potential future. We see the crazy girls club in action and get a new character to look forward to…Jezebel. Alice makes another leg-slapping appearance and lays down the truth on Wren and helps open her eyes a little more towards Maniac. The ending was everything a blood thirsty reader could ever want and I admit I was high-fiving Maniac through it all! Although Pipe is still my man, Maniac is in third place (Lo-first, Pipe-second, Maniac-third). The sneak peek into Alice and Wrecker’s book was enough to make me start wishing my life away again waiting for the release date. Another 10-star hit!

It's been so long since I had the chance to read a book from this author and I was beyond happy when this baby got in my Kindle. And guess what? It's an MC book....
Winter Travers is amazing. Her books are to die for and the cover yummy... Her writing is hot and wild, intense and raw, full of action and so much more.
Maniac is her latest release and it's the third book from the Fallen Lords MC. This book explores the lifes of Wren and Maniac. But I need to tell you something. Despite all books are standalones you should read all books in order. You'll see why.
Wren is fed up with a life of abuse. She wants to get away from the MC life and start fresh. She's dead inside and she just wants to disappear.
Maniac is a badass guy that you don't want to mess with. He's very protector of is family, his MC so you don't want to cross his path. When he's given the assignment of watching and protecting Wren he can't imagine what's about to happen.
Oh boy... I knew that this book would be intense but Dayum...
The plot is amazing, super engaging and intense, surrounded by a cloud of mystery and suspense.
The interation between the characters is raw and intense and the way they try to stay away from each other is brutal.
Reading this book was a pleasure and after the first chapter I was a goner. This story presented us with crime, betrayal, madness and drama as well as love, friendship, loyalty and respect.
There were parts of the story that I laughed so hard but there were others that I was nervous and scared. Get ready for some hot stuff as well.
Is was amazing to have news from the other members of this MC and I want more.
Winter you rock girl. This series is getting better by the minute and I can't wait for what's about to happen. Thank you for giving us this.

After one heck of a ending in Pipe, Maniac and Wren have their story now.

While you could read Maniac on its own, it’s more emotional and there is a deeper impact, having read the previous two books. Wren and Maniac have a slow burn, while Wren recovers psychologically. She needs to relearn trust and Maniac is the guy to help her. While he pushes when necessary, I loved how he let her set the pace.

Maniac is an exciting book. It’s heartbreaking, full of tension, and has a little bit of comedic relief from that with Karmen and other characters in the previous books. I would recommend it to the reader looking for a sexy Alpha MC member who can be softhearted with right woman.

" love them getting drunk it’s nice to see them having some relief time from the high stress situation that we have happening in the book. There’s a few time where they have a drink and it’s honestly some of my favourite moments in the book because it just makes me smile. Especially as near the end of the book Karmen goes into labour when all the other girls are drunk.

I really enjoyed the plot in this one, it got a lot darker. I really loved the plot though and I am so glad the assholes who hurt Wren got what was coming from them. It was so satisfying the ending."

Well written

This storyline covers a very hard topic very well. The topic is one we tend know about but don’t talk about so putting it in a book makes us acknowledge the situation. It’s well written and I love the characters but my 4* is probably because I like the grittier MC book better. Won’t stop me from finishing the series. Good for anyone who likes MC books on the lighter side or just want a break from the harder stuff which at times we all need

This next story in the Fallen Lords series is one that brings you into the cozy cocoon of Maniac and Wren. I am a big supporter of Winter but this is her best story to date!

Winter wrote a story that will consume you. Wren and Maniac's journey is powerful and moving. Maniac helps Wren overcome the demons that plague her mind and her life. He is like her dark angel swooping in and protecting her and her heart from the demons of the night. I want to shout how much I loved this read. One I could read over and over again. Maniac quickly realizes that the girl that came as a job, is the next breath he needs to survive. This man stepped up and showed up for Wren. It is a trait every girl wants her man to have. He surprised me in the most delicious ways. He was patient, kind, and genuine. Wren got all of him from the very beginning.

Wren is lost in the dark. Its depths are all consuming and swallowing her whole. She can't see a light out of the darkness. When the fight has left her, she finds an unlikely hero willing to stand guard in the dark. Protecting. Loving. Caring.

Wren evolved in this story. She had some woe is me moments but fought. The strong woman she grows into from this journey is one that will withstand the strongest of storms. The character growth was one of the best I've read. This story primarily focuses on just Wren and Maniac fighting for the light. I had a total fist bump moment when he told the doctor off. I was like "heck yeah".

Winter did a great job of blending what was going on in the club without sacrificing the closeness of Wren and Maniac. We were in the know without it overshadowing the story.

Can I just say the retribution Maniac got for Wren had me giddy. I was like burn, baby burn. It was fitting and I hoped Wren could let go of that last little bit and heal with Maniac by her side.

Karmen and Nikki were totally full of laughs and I couldn't get enough of them. The cake scene had me rolling. Cora is still a mystery to me. I want her background. I like how she was there for Wren. You understood her sense of desperation to help a friend and not know how. Jezebel was a new character and I thought Winter did a fantastic job of integrating her into the group and the story. Alice, there's a secret there. I am anxious to see what it is. The blender had me chuckling. We got to see her serious side and it warmed my heart but concerned me as well.

This story flowed from page to page. It was pieced together beautifully and only made me want to start again when done. As I said before this is the best story I have read of Winter's. Brava my dear, and this blogger gives it 5 point shoes.

Maniac is book 3 in the Fallen Lords MC series and while it can be read as a standalone it is best read in order for you to get the full crazy effect that we see when it comes to secondary characters. Don’t get me wrong, if this is your first read in the series, you will totally follow along with no problems, but the laughter at some scenes will just make it that much funnier if you know the characters. Oh my, those girls will have you in hoots and add into the mix the Alpha men who love to torture this crew with comments and antics just make it a relief when your heart breaks otherwise in this story, so this laughter is a huge bonus, just saying.
I love that we get to see the members stories grow and we get to see new stories that are coming is how I will best say this to avoid spoilers. You will fall in love with this MC and each one is a page turner and wants you to have more now not later. Guess we will be tipping cows or wrecking havoc until the next Fallen Lords is released.
Wren’s story may be a trigger for some but could also be a healing factors for others. It is heartbreaking and heart healing in the end. This topic though is real and shows the pain endured by someone who has experienced this and just how hard it is to overcome and feel normal again. It wasn’t easy to get to where she was, but for whatever reason she was saved and who better than Maniac to help her out in many ways.
Maniac let’s just say your full name for the MC fits this story to a T and it shows just how well you protect those you care for and your family. It was a crazy ride that had us wanting to page turn to see what transpires, but oh so worth it in the end. The hell Wren went through was tragic and wrong, but the Hell Captains MC options were well calculated and applause worthy. You may have seen it as babysitting at first, but your patience throughout that whole time just shows us that while you have a crazy side, you have that soft side that we all love in the MC world.
Each book just keeps getting better and better and the suspense at the end has us wondering how this could be topped but have no fear Winter is going to play with our emotions and find a topic that opens our eyes and keeps us knowing that even in darkness light can be found when the time is right. This is one MC series you will not want to miss.

I needed to write something before I forget, with that being I said I will never be forgetting anything about this book anytime soon. it opened up some wounds for me that I thought was buried deep but what can I saw some stuff just comes out after you read something so raw. Wren is best friends of Cora, and if you have read Nickel and Pipe you showed know who Cora is and Maniac. Wren is a beautiful broken mess.

Let me pump the breaks here for a minute. If you have certain triggers with harming women of any kind please proceed with caution. I will say that Winter does an amazing job of being respectful with her writing and the way she portrays what went on with Wren.

Now back to this sweet sweet love story with the nitty gritty of the MC world thrown in. Maniac hasn't let Wren out of his sight since he found her and saved her. That was the last thing she wanted to him to do so she hasn't made the babysitting very easy on the poor man. A lesser man would have thrown in the towel and just ran for the hills with the way she acted. But I really cant blame the poor woman. Wren is very broken but the more time she spends with Maniac the old Wren comes out of her hiding shell and Maniac is just the man that is helping her. He is taking his time with her and showing her that she isn't as broken as she thinks she is. the trust that they have built with one another is such a beautiful thing to read. Even though Wren didn't want to be around him she slowly started to put all her things aside and started living outside her head. From page one I was hooked. Not only hooked but I was in tears. I couldn't put this book down I was so hooked. I laughed, I cried, I laughed some more and I even looked like a loon to my man laughing at a book. I felt like Alice. You will get that if you have read the books. Not only does this show you the side Gritty side of the MC. the side you don't want to mess with.

I have to say that Winter Travers books just keep getting better and better. She is one of my favorite authors and her books are some of my most anticipated reads that I wait for all year long. I will try my hardest to wait for the next books in all her series but its so hard being patient.

*I received an ARC in exchange for a honest review*

“In that cabin with just the radio playing and Wren in my arms, I fell in love. Wren was it. She was the one I never wanted to let go of. She was mine.”—- Maniac

Winter has done it AGAIN... another freaking amazing read. From page one I was hooked. This story has so much heart, pain, love and healing.. it’s absolutely beautiful.

Maniac. *sigh* Maniac is my new favorite Fallen Lord. I didn’t think anyone could touch my man Pipe.. but goodness, Maniac came charging into my heart and he will stay there. This man is so rough and tough but he is also gentle, sweet and understanding. Maniac is got to be one of the sweetest, smoothest, sexiest, and yet absolutely terrifying alphas..
“I know I told you that you were equal with my club, but if all this were to go away tomorrow, I wasn’t in the club, but I still had you, I would die a happy man. You are my world, and you are my life.”—- Maniac

Wren is such a real character. She has had a horrible past.. even before her troubles with the Hell Captains... she has had to overcome so much in her short life. I felt so deeply for her. She broke my heart so many times.. but Maniac was there to pick up her pieces (as well as mine!) and put her back together. She is one tough chick. The chemistry between them was such an amazing slow burn.. when they finally came together it was explosive! I loved Maniac and Wren together.. they are the perfect fit and the fierce way Maniac loves and protects his Wren is so amazing.

This book has everything you want in a story. It’s packed with love, pain, humor, action, alpha MC’s, and a strong heroine.. it’s heartbreaking and healing and has a love so strong it’s beautiful. One click this bad boy. You won’t regret it.

“This man could take my breath, heart, and soul without any complaint from me as long as he never left.” — Wren

Seriously, I am so in love with everything that is Maniac!!! Like beyond in love. I fell in love with Nickel and then Pipe and now you bring Maniac into my life and it is all total bad@ss, tattooed, biker men up in here and I don’t know which way to go. I think I am officially going to have to claim all the men that are apart of the Fallen Lords MC (even those that we haven’t come to really learn more about yet).

Winter Travers, you nearly broke me at the end of Pipe’s book. I seriously had tears in my eyes. When I started reading about Wren and everything the poor girl endured I wasn’t quite sure how she was going to survive. But that damn Maniac had other plans and wasn’t ready to give up on her yet. I loved the banter between the two. I loved how even though Maniac wasn’t thrilled about being Wren’s “babysitter” in the beginning they started to bond and he no longer cared. Maniac takes you through Wren’s ups and downs on trying to find herself and trust those around her again.

Maniac is raw. There is violence. There is death. There are some not so pretty scenes that are described. The book is definitely not for the faint of heart. If you love bad@ss MC Men who know right from wrong but still do wrong things for the right reasons (if you get what I mean) then the Fallen Lord MC series is a definite must read. If you haven’t read the other two books yet I highly recommend you start with Nickel’s book and go from there. You will fall in love with them all. Just remember I claimed them all first here. Another 5+ Star read in my book. I devoured this book once I started reading - didn’t want to put it down.

Maniac was a great emotional 5 star read. This is book three in the Fallen Lords MC.

We start where book two left off. You get pulled right in from the beginning in a heart breaking scene with Wren. Ever since she was abused in such a heinous way by her ex and his MC brothers she feels nothing inside and just wants to be at peace.
Maniac ends up finding her and saving her before it was too late. We jump ahead a few weeks with Maniac and Wren living in a small home together. He refuses to leave her by herself and is trying so hard to help her. Their relationship develops throughout the story, Maniac does a great job of pushing Wren in a way that wasn’t too much, he was trying to get her to move forward and heal.

I really loved Maniac, he was so sweet and an alpha male with Wren and truly wanted to help and protect her. My heart just broke for Wren and what she was going through. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story, I love Alice BTW. The ending was great.I will warn that there are some things that could cause triggers for some. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book for Wrecker and Alice’s story.

LOVED MANIAC!!! He is so patient and understanding in this story, which is exactly what Wren needed. Poor girl hit bottom and believed that the only way to stop it all was with one final action. But there are people that will not let her end it and they do everything they can to bring her back from the brink. Wren does her won soul searching with Maniac right by her side. But when the full truth comes out, retribution will be delivered. It will be swift and it will be painful.

I cried some ugly tears during this book along with happy tears. My heart broke for Wren and what happened to her and the dark place that she went too. But Maniac would not let her give up. He was so freaking AWESOME! Totally understanding and willing to do whatever it took to bring Wren back, and it took some work. But Wren didn’t need a hero to save her, she needed an avenger to bring justice and punishment to those who hurt her, and that is what she got with Maniac.

I can’t say just how much I loved this story! Maniac was so amazing and he was exactly what Wren needed. He was understanding and listened to her when she spoke. He also was not willing to allow her to go back to that dark place. He opened her eyes and brought her out of her shell in a way that no one else could. And what emerged was so much stronger than what she was like before. And Alice! I absolutely adore her quirkiness and no filter! I can’t wait for the next book in the series, because I have a feeling it is going to be a doozy!

Oh holy hell... each book in the Fallen Lords series just gets better and better!

Maniac is everything and oh so much more! A sexy motorcycle riding alpha who is kind, generous and loving... ::here is my heart on a silver platter.::

We've previously met and glimpsed Maniac in the first two Fallen Lords books, Nickle and Pipe. As a supporting character he didn't appear to be anything really special but he is, very special indeed.

It takes a very particular and strong man to handle what is put before him in this book and Winter writes it beautifully. She allows us to watch Maniac grow from a concerned friend, to confidant, to lover, to avenging angel in the short span of three hours and it's a beautiful transformation.

His other half; the ying to his yang is the troubled and beautifully broken Wren. She is remarkably brave; there were moments when I wanted to cry with Wren or each through the pages of this book and hug her. Her transformation too was beautiful and graceful. Watching Wren find herself and love was inspiring.

Winter has written a beautiful story that goes beyond the world of MC. She has taken a subject matter that is difficult, dark, tragic and down right upsetting and handled it with gentleness and care. She has written a truly beautiful story that only Maniac and Wren could possibly be a part of... a story that invokes a certain kind of sadness but shows how strong we as people can really be.

Maniac is Wren & Maniac's story, and it's an emotional doozie. She had things in her past happen to her that has broken her so much, that she didn't want to live anymore. And Maniac wants to help her to move past what happened, while he and the Fallen Lords MC keep her safe. So yeah, that's all that I'm saying about that, because this story was so amazingly heart wrenching, that I want everyone to experience it for themselves, not my description of it, which wouldn't do it justice anyway. Wren was a strong woman who had gone through such trauma, that it brought her to her knees, to where she couldn't fathom going on anymore, and this pain was so palpable, that my eyes leaked throughout the story more than once. Maniac is a rough biker, with a big heart, and while some of his tactics may have been a bit rougher, he just wanted to help her, so he was up in her grill quite a bit. And that had feelings growing after a period of time that eventually lead to sexy times that lit it up! Then there's this amazing cast of secondaries that truly added an element of humor that had me rolling, especially since Alice was back. PLUS, since this is an MC book, there were twists to get me to drop Maniac's favorite word as they came out of left field. So, Maniac is another fantastic book from the brilliant Winter Travers, and I CANNOT WAIT for the next book in this series! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Before I get started, I do want to say that this book does have some triggers for suicide attempts and sexual assault. If you think those things may bother you, then please make the responsible choice for yourself and either read consciously or check out another of Winter Travers' books.

Wren was used and abused by the Hells Captains. When she managed to get away, she went to her friend Cora and the Fallen Lords. After some time being safe with them, she just can't get over what happened to her and wanted to make it all go away, so she tried to kill herself. She thought that she would finally be done with everything, but Maniac breaks down the door and saves her life.

At first, Wren was nothing but a babysitting job to Maniac, but she started growing on him, and now he finds that he's attracted to her, and he wants to help her heal. Right now, the two of them are staying together in a tiny one-room cabin so that she's safe from the Hells Captains, and so that she can have time to get better.

I like the Fallen Lords guys. Wren keeps calling them Alpha, and they really are. They may be rough around the edges, but they are good guys, overall. Even if they have to do some really crappy things sometimes. Maniac does have an interesting way to deal with his problems, and I can't say that I don't like it. And, I want to know if I can be the smarta$$ next time.
