A photo taken by a 'trail cam' camera alerts Warden Jeremy Cain that something isn't quite right in the woods of western Pennsylvania. As the body count begins a reasonable explanation cannot be found. A local backwoodsman puts Jeremy onto a possibility that seems too farfetched to be plausible. The Warden quickly learns that considering the impossible is the only way to combat what has shown up on his doorstep. And the only way to prevent more loss of life, including the woman he loves.
I read the only review of this book which mentioned Bigfoot so I thought I was reading another Bigfoot horror story. Well, to clear that matter up, let me say this is a story with lots of gory violence but it involves a witch seeking revenge. I really liked this one because it was so different. It swept me in and I didn't want to put it down. This is definitely a horror story with great characters and lots of gruesome killings. I suspect there will be a sequel. There needs to be a sequel!
Anyone who loves bigfoot and the paranormal will love this book. An odd couple but it works. Fascinating information on both legends work together to create an absorbing story. Never a dull moment.
I don’t know why because I find a lot of these things either silly or poorly written. I think one of the reasons, not sure, but the biggest thing I liked was Bigfoot and the witch...and everyone was on board, all the forest rangers or wardens, and there were no naysayers...like all story’s have or seem to. Even the townsfolk listened to them..
This book is a mix of Sasquatch and the paranormal. A legend, a witch, and a monster make for an unusual story. It is consistent in plot and the characters are well developed. If you are a fan of ghosts and witches, as well as Bigfoot, you will like this story.
This was a good read for anyone that is interested in this subject matter. The paranormal was a good twist. Looking forward to the next book in the series.
