After the breakup with Levi, Peyton went back home to try to live without him. Except, the modern world makes that difficult when she can simply Google his name to find out how he's doing. When she comes across a particularly shocking headline, the urge to run back to Levi and Dirty Affliction grows stronger.
Two months later, Levi returns to her instead. Once they've thoroughly re-claimed their relationship, he finds out that Peyton's mother used her name to take out a loan and Peyton needs to pay thousands back. He pays the debt without her permission, which causes yet another rift between them ... until Peyton apologizes, and he surprises her with a diamond ring.
It's an extension of their happy for now story in Lyric, and it's a story about love, life, and learning that the past belongs in the past.
Regina Frame lives in Alabama with her husband and two dogs. She started her writing journey early 2013 when she published The Beaumont Trilogy. Since then she has published the first book in her rock star series, A Dirty Affliction which released in 2014. She fell in love with the bad boy rockers and released four more books in the series. Rock music is her passion. She loves losing herself in the beat and the stories of her characters.
This is Book 2 in Levi’s story. It can be read as a standalone book but you would definitely understand it better if you read Lyric first. Levi disappeared after his mother’s funeral and Melody is all tore up. She’s basically given up but her friends won’t let her stay that way. This was such a tear jerker that you better make sure you have a box of Kleenex handy. So much is happening in Melody and Levi’s lives that you just want to scream and kill someone. They have already been through so much in the first book and life just keeps on kicking them in the butt. When Levi does get his life back together, he has to find a way to get Melody back on his side. But just like the Energizer Rabbit, it just keeps kicking. Can we please remove the batteries from that rabbit so that they can straighten up their life? It may be a harsh book but it’s such a great book in the end. We may have read about the lives of the band members but they are always going to be part of our lives. So Rock On, Dirty Affliction! I voluntarily read and reviewed and advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I was so invested in Peyton and Levi’s story from Lyric that I was thrilled to see it continue in Melody. These two want to be together, they love each other and deserve to have a happy life, but troubles, misunderstandings and the past keep getting in the way. Can they make it work? I guess you will just have to read this awesome rock star romance to get the answer to that question. There were several moments that I wanted to scream at one or the other of the main characters or the band, but by the end of the book, I was back in love! This is what makes a great story.... giving me all the FEELS. Good job Regina! I would recommend this book to everyone.
I love a good Rock star book and this one did not disappoint. This series has been awesome! I love that this one picked right back up with Levi and Peyton's story.
Levi and Peyton are meant to be together...but there are obstacles in their way. Levi has been in rehab and Peyton isn't sure that will go on when he geta back home.
Will they be able to make it work? Will Peyton be able to cope with the Rock star life? Will their love win out in the end or will it be a deadly consequence?
Great book! I look forward to more by this great author!
What an amazing conclusion to the Dirty Affliction series. Peyton has to deal with a lot of things from Levi's past. Levi finally gets out if rehab and think he is finally going to get the life he wants with Peyton until a hookup from his past comes and ruins everything. If you haven't read this series yet I suggest you do. You will want to knock some of the guys in the head but then you will fall in love with each one of them. Great Job Regina!
The true test of a great book in my opinion is two fold, first if you can not put it down and second, the story and author's words elicit the readers emotions. Regina Frame's next Dirty Affliction novel falls into these categories. I loved this book which continues with Levi and Peyton's story. Their story is full of love and pain. I recommend this book after reading an ARC and providing an honest review.
Melody takes place after Lyric and is happening during most of the rest of the series. I loved that Regina has given us more of Levi and Peyton's story. I was so into the story that I lost track of time and the next thing I know I was finished and had to go to work with no sleep' but well worth it. I highly recommend this series.
I loved is book. Nothing like a good rockstar book to break your heart just to put it back together again. It just goes to show you that true love is worth fighting for. The love that Levi and Payton share is true love. What an awesome book.
I loved this book by Regina Frame. If possible her writing has gotten even better. I found myself relating to her characters time and time again. This is a wonderful and emotional romance. Bravo!
I really liked this series. With that in mind, I lost all respect for Peyton. Levi was doing what he had to, to get his life straight. Peyton was full of doubt and acted like a witch with a B. When a woman from Levi's past comes into play, Peyton pretty much gives up and doesn't support him. She knew he was pretty much a manwhore, and when going gets tough Peyton just ugh..... I never read a book with the heroine cries so much. I pretty much wanted to slap her bc I feel like Levi could have done better.
Other then that, the whole series was great. I was just not a fan of this book, but many liked it. Peyton ruined it for me.
There was a lot crammed into the second half of Peyton and Levi's story and they finally got their HEA. There were also surprises I didn't see coming! Unfortunately, Peyton's attitude to Levi and his past really turned me off. She did not give him the benefit of the doubt at all even knowing it was all in the past.
Good ending for this series. I just wish this particular book had a wedding epilogue instead of the epilogue it did!

I loved Peyton and Levi in their first book, Lyric, and my love for them continued in this one. There was some crazy drama sprinkled in, a little predictable, but drama nonetheless. I do have to add though that I was hoping for a better ending for the series overall. I love epilogues and years later kind of stuff, and this one left me hanging lol
With this being the last book in the Dirty Affliction series I had hoped for more of a happily-ever-after conclusion. Well I did enjoy Peyton and Levi's completion of the storyline I felt like something was missing. If you are a rock romance reader this series is for you. I suggest reading the series in order to understand all of the storyline.
