I have read and loved all of Anne Leigh’s books, and when I found out she was releasing a duet I was like WHAT?! So I knew this book was going to end in a cliff-hanger, so I will admit, I held off till book 2 released, and now I’m kicking myself for waiting to jump into W for so long. W is unlike the rest of Anne’s book as it’s full of suspense, but it definitely has the angst and sexy male lead that you can’t help but fall in love with.
From the prologue of this book I knew this was a winner and I sat on the couch and didn’t move until I finished this book. Webb is a complicated man who even though he comes off as hardened there is a softness about him that you can’t help but be drawn too. When he is tasked with keeping Athena safe, his world is shaken up. He is intrigued by this free spirit and how opposite she is of him and how she pushes him, but he can’t let her get to him. Athena has also been through a lot, but unlike Webb, she embraces life and doesn’t let everything she’s gone through harden her life outlook, she embraces life and the people around her. She thought she knew what she wanted until Webb came into her life, and now she wants him to see that he can protect her and be happy all at the same time.
I loved watching these two go back and forth, Webb fighting his feelings for Athena and doing everything in his power to keep her safe, and Athena being Athena. The secondary characters in this book were also amazing as well. Dyan, Athena’s roommate is awesome and helps balance out Athena, Liam, Webb’s friend and also one of Athena’s protectors, Mario and even Denton. They all play important parts in this book and help add to the dynamic, but everything revolves around Athena and Webb and the people after Athena. I really want to know how Webb’s past plays into the all of this since it’s been brought up, there is just so much I want to know still!
This book is beautifully written, and the characters are so well developed. I don’t know how you can read this book and not fall in love with Webb. There are so many questions, and so many things going on and I just want to see Athena and Webb get their happily ever after and for the people after Athena to be brought to justice. The ending of this book definitely ends in a way that will make you go WTF, but don’t worry, A the second part of the duet is out now, so you can definitely see how the story ends with no wait! I highly encourage you all to go one-click W by Anne Leigh today. This was a beautifully written angsty, sexy, romantic suspense that I was unable to put down!

Awesome
I am sitting on the edge of my seat with this read. You have the multiple by the book Webb assigned to protect Athena the daughter of a friend and well know scientist. What Webb didn't know is he would fall for her and fall he did. Athena just wants to enjoy life after during her childhood she spend more time in the hospital. She wanted to live and 💘 love when when she looked at Webb she saw something others may not. What could possibly come in the way of them seeing where this may go. Well that would be anyone that wants the special project Athena dad is working on and the best way to get what they want is to go after his daughter, can Webb keep her safe only time will tell. Warning this story has a cliffhanger.
