I have read many romance books but this one was very different for me compared to others.

This book was based on the love story of the protagonist “Anirudh” and his love for “Avni”. Anirudh loves music since his college days. Everything seems very simple, however as the title of the book says “My first Breakup”, not everything is as simple as it seems. Something is waiting for them in the future but what…… Do they stay together or has fate stored something else for them?

I like that the author hasn't just filled the book with the love story of Anirudh, they just made it a part of it.
The author has portrayed and narrated the storyline in a very simple way and it will surely give the readers a feeling of nostalgia regarding their college days.

The book is well-paced and also not so big. That’s why it took me about 2 sittings of 45 minutes each to complete it fully. And trust me it was worth it.

The only downside I felt in this book was showing the characteristics of the character. Instead of Anirudh's character, every other characters' characteristics weren't explained in a good manner. But in the end, I must say that it all feels decent when the story goes on.

The language used by the author in this book is quite simple so even a beginner can easily grasp the story.

I didn’t like the cover that much. It was just ok for me but the title is totally apt for the story.

Overall it was a great read for me. And anyone who wants to read something different in the romance genre, I would surely recommend this book to them.

This book ultimately took back to my good old college memories.  I was refreshed and lightened when I completed this novel.

I kind of thought that this novel could an inspiration to this generation. Whatever failure we come across , that shouldn’t affect the daily life. Life is to move on as the title indicate “Learning to Let GO”. The aspiration and dream should not be disturbed at any cost. Anyone and especially this generation could relate themselves with this story.

The narration was simple and tasteful. The book is like 244 pages but I was able to finish it off real soon as the author has written this as a part of life experience. Author didn’t involve the love portions in every chapter of Anirudh life and made it as only a part. That was the main positive aspect of this book. So this one stood out from the regular and same kind of romance novels.

The only odd I felt while reading is that I could only see Anirudh throughout the book and the other characters involvement was way too less. Entire narration was with Anirudh point of view. At  times I felt bored or I felt to read another character POV as distraction.  Here and there few ,very few editing issues.

Overall “My First Breakup ” is simple and exquisite novel which brings out the romance delicately with the reality and we will end up reading it without any struggle.

I picked this book up expecting a quick and light read. The book delivers on those accounts.

Plot:
The plot is pretty simple and straightforward. There are quite a few cliched moments in the book. Though the book doesn't really surprise you, it has a charm about it because of its simplicity. The curve balls that life throws at Anirudh and the connection that he feels with Anvi are the things that keep you turning the pages.

Characters:
The protagonists are developed just right with ample flesh to them to be relatable to the readers. They, like the plot, are simple and more close to being real than to being fictional.

Narrative:
The author has kept his language simplistic and easy to get into. Some of the dialogue delivery in the story felt a bit lose.

I have used the word simple too many times in this review. And that is because the author has kept to the basics of every aspect of story telling. I have to admit though that I feel that the book could do with tighter editing. This is a book that you would likely enjoy just after reading a heavy book.
