Ellen Anderson started life near Sedona, Arizona, surrounded by the most beautiful scenery the West has to offer, along with its intricate history and myriad legends. Her favorite memories are of camping out on the family property under the vast canopy of stars, listening to her father and grandfather tell stories. Eventually, Ellen began writing her own stories, mixing her up-close-and-personal western experiences with special characters who share her unique sense of fun and adventure.

When she met her handsome husband on a horse drive, her path to writing historical western romances was sealed.

Today, Ellen and her husband still do some work on the family ranch, and their children are following in the family tradition, helping care for the Anderson horses. In her spare time, Ellen enjoys photography, swimming, trying out unique historical recipes from scratch and exploring ghost towns in the family RV.

This is installment continues the story of the basic group of individuals that this series represents from the small western, pioneer town, of Aspen Falls. The focus in this installment is Benjamin Hart and Millie Benson. Benjamin's father wants him to take over the family business, as the firstborn son. But Ben's enjoyed tinkering with mechanical things, inventing things, and explore life outside their small community. This book commences after the courtship between these two had been occurring secretly and a child has already been conceived. Then a tragic accident threatens both their lives and that of their unborn child, forcing Benjamin to truly grasp what's most important in life; family and love. Will they be able to overcome this tragedy? Will Benjamin's dreams of being a mechanical engineer come to fruition?

This series includes short inspirational, faith-based, historical romance stories. They each have good bones and a myriad of potential. They are not very long or particularly challenging. The characters are likable, but they really didn't have much meat on their bones and the conclusions come abruptly with limited details. The plot was initially compelling, including interaction that reflected hope, faith, and the ability to conquer a major conflict or challenge in their lives. As per the description of the book, "In spite of the idyllic setting, many of the inhabitants of the close-knit community must overcome challenges in their personal and professional lives."

Consequently, the shortness of the book gives readers a feel for the author's writing and the author learning her craft, but it doesn't allow enough time to flesh out the characters, develop the plot, shape or develop the story, and conclude in a more dynamic conclusion without such abruptness. Audiences who like romances that take their time to develop characters, good chemistry, and logical progressions of events will be disappointed. Based on the shortness in length, grammatical errors, and lack of development, I am unable to rate this book higher than a 3, even though I enjoyed reading the series.

I read this series through the Kindle Unlimited program on Amazon. These stories include clean romance, each installment is able to stand on its own, with the exception of the first one, (although they make more sense if the complete series read in order), and deliver the idea or hopeful thought of an H.E.A.

The series continues with the Hart family and it is brother Benjamin's turn. He has been secretly courting his girl Millie. It was kept secret because at the time his sister Rachael was dealing with losing her sight ( Blind Faith book 2).They both decided the focus should remain on her. Now they have to share the news because of an unexpected development.

The tragedy that happens in the book came from nowhere and tears at your heartstrings like book 2 did for me. For a short read it had a lot to say and I am so happy I got the boxed set because now I can continue to see the other siblings outcome. Benjamin and Millie found there bliss sooner than Rachael and Martin. Now there is only 2 Hart children left. This is another clean and sweet romance. Enjoy!

BRAVO!!!!!!!

This is a heartbreakinglydad beginning but not the ending of the story. It has sadness, humor, and a spirit of not giving up, song with a good dose of stubbornness in each member of the Hart family. What else would get them through the harsh conditions of living in the land of Colorado Territory vs k in the 1800's?

Starry Nights

Benjamin lives with his family, his father owns the Mill and Benjamin is to take over one day, but he doesn’t want to do this he is good with inventing things. He is working on a engine that runs off steam. He would love to travel to the woods fair but his sweet heart Millie sort of throws a wrench into the works.

Good story short and well a bit bitter sweet.
