Ho scelto di leggere questa storia perché la trama sembrava avere alcuni degli argomenti che amo: un moderno principe innamorato di un cantante famoso ma nascosto nell’ombra.
Purtroppo, però, non posso dire che sia scoccata la scintilla e che l’abbia amata. Ho trovato molte parti troppo ‘semplicistiche’ e troppe scene erotiche a discapito di altri sviluppi, di un impianto più serio e credibile.
Questo è il primo di una serie, quindi ha una sua conclusione ma ci proietta anche verso il prossimo volume, che non sappiamo se arriverà o meno tradotto anche da noi.

Despite the fact I'm not really into rockstar romance I read this anyway and found I really liked it.

I loved both Danny and Nathan along with their friends and family. I enjoyed the storyline quite a bit.

The book is in both Danny and Nathan's POV. The angst level is on the higher end of low.

Entertaining fairytale that suspends any attachment to reality. The characters ranged from likable (Danny) to unlikable (Cassie, Aunt Edith). For most of the story I really didn’t care for Nathan, but I cut him some slack considering his background. I started finding it very annoying every time Danny and Nathan got together because every occasion just turned into a long-winded sex scene. There were quite a few lame lines, especially Nathan’s proposal. The man writes music and that brief line was all he could come up with?
There were quite a few editing and proofreading issues throughout. There were the typos and misspellings but also a bunch of name changes and swapped names. At the beginning, Nathan’s best friend was Scott. By the end, the best friend was Theo and Scott had completely disappeared. At Lizzie’s wedding, the family tried setting Danny up with Prince Zane, who then reappeared as Prince Asher.
I’m totally fine with stories that are complete fantasy, but this story really could use a lot of tightening up.

Maybe I’m just not in the right head space for this. Which is weird because this normally would tick my rock star, royalty, love. But it’s just not working for me. I don’t know if it’s the writing, or the dialog I’m not sure but It’s just not working for me

Couldn't finish

I generally try to finish every Kindle unlimited book that I read, because I know how it affects the author's when I don't. What this one was unreadable. There was so much over-the-top wordiness that I felt like I was getting bogged down on every page. The premise for this book was excellent, but the execution needs some serious work. This is not an author I'll pick up again.

I really, really liked this story of Nathan and Danny. It will be a story I know I will reread over and over. One of my favorites. I loved the characters in it. I thought Nathan and Danny had great chemistry and heated up the pages to almost setting them on fire. I thought the story had a nice steady pace, with enough interest to keep me reading till the end. I hope to read more from the author. Very well written, thought the story played out just right. Hope to see Danny’s brothers get a story.

This is a well written book with strong characters and an entertaining story line. The author does a great job building the story and pulling Danny and Nathan together despite Nathan's fear of coming out. She brings drama,romance and intrigue and adds a colorful cast of supporting characters as she brings this cute couple together. I enjoyed reading their story.

A charming, modern fairy tale in which the rock star finds his Prince Charming. I enjoyed this book very much.
Surprisingly, it is Prince Danny who is out and proud, and rock star Nathan who is in the closet. It makes for a fresh look on the coming-out story. Danny and Nathan are lovely characters, who are in lust at first sight. The author takes the reader on a journey towards self-discovery and being true to yourself. Danny is really understanding of Nathan’s reluctance to come out. Nathan is trying hard to overcome his fears. I always love that, besides development in their mutual feelings, there is also growth in the characters. That is certainly the case here.
The best parts of the story are the beginning and the ending/epilogue. In between, I found it wavering at times. It wasn’t consistent all the time. Some scenes were a bit long while others could have benefitted by being more fleshed out. Some lines screamed for clarification. The dialogue was funny and witty, albeit with some very cheesy remarks. I definitely felt the connection between Danny and Nathan. Their chemistry was palpable and made for some hot scenes.
All in all, it was a sweet and entertaining story with an all-around feel-good vibe.
Alice Boyce is a new author who has a lot of potential, and I am happy to read more. As this is the first book in a series, I will be on the lookout for the next installment.

His cousin wanted to go to US why there Danny had been looking for something more exotic but now he's noticed Lizzie's nowhere to be seen.
Nathan wasn't sure what woke him up then he noticed Cassie trying to sneak in his bed. Noop not happening which he pointed out quickly unfortunately she wasn't to pleased to being turned down not his problem.
Opportunity never knocks twice so Moonstone was going over seas..
Its pretty sad when your the only two sober people left in the room filled with band mates and girls for the bachelorette party.
Never put off being with who you wanted to be with today you might not get a tomorrow.
It was still early Nathan hadn't expected to see anyone up yet last night wasn't anyone else business.
Nevertheless Danny knew nothing was ever going to come from romping he'd been doing the last couple days.
To Nathan nothing felt right he missed him more than anything he couldn't stay away he didn't want and the minute he saw him..
The only question really worth thinking about was he so hung up on his image that he'd keep that part of himself hidden or could he really grab for what he want?

I like the way Avery uses words! Prince Daniel/Danny, out with cousin, Lizzy who meeting online date Mark, for the first time at concert of Moonstones. Danny was immediately smitten with lead singer, Nathan. A year later, Danny arranged to have Moonstones perform at Lizzy's surprise bridal shower. Nathan is bisexual, but deep in the closet. He fears band, fan and sponsor retaliation if he comes out. This has been the albatross since he was a child. His bandmates frequently make homophobic comments and Hansen stays silent. Danny and his brothers are out and proud with total support from his family even from his Grandmother, the Queen. Aunt Edith is the only family member who has a problem and not afraid to show it. So, how can a courtship work? Can Danny tolerate another closeted lover? What happens if they fall in love? Excellent story. The characters, family members, are absolutely delightful. The Kingdom of Raplen sounds beautiful! Excellent story, sounds like a great series. I received an ARC from Bookdproutn and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
There were a couple of characters here I didn't like - Cassie for sure. She was nothing short of a cheap slut and how on earth she hasn't gotten into serious trouble before now I don't know. Aunt Edith - typical old fuddy duddy. I'm so glad none of my aunts were like her.
But then we get introduced to Nathan - a rock star brought to England to play at the hen's night and wedding of a princess and Danny - a prince. Danny is openly gay and takes a liking to Nathan who funnily enough is the one to make the first move even though he is still "in the closet". The friendship that builds into a very steamy relationship is so sweet to read. The whole story had me intrigued as to how the love between these two men was going to pan out seeing as one has major political and family responsibilities in England and the other has commitments to his band members and fans in America. This is the first book I've read by this author and I will look for more. Very enjoyable.

Danny and Nathan had the potential of being amazing together. But this is the story of these two characters who were trying to balance an uneven relationship. Danny was comfortably out to his family and the world. Nathan, a rock star, was unwilling to make such a statement because of his past and not wanting to upset his fellow band members and his fans – a perfectly justifiable fear. But it naturally put pressure on the situation.

The secondary characters and their interaction were interesting in the way they supported or tried to derail the main characters. Grab your copy and see how their story will play out. Both are likable characters. It all comes down to what they really want and what they are willing to risk. It could all be worth it for the HEA, or it could be a disastrous decision one or both may not recover from. But the story, loaded with drama, intrigue, and definite chemistry, won’t disappoint!

Ho tenuto d'occhio questo libro per moltissimo tempo, fin dalle sue prime edizioni pubblicate con un diverso pseudonimo dall'autrice. L'idea di una storia romantica tra una rockstar famosissima e un sensuale principe mi faceva non poca gola spingendomi a fantasticare come una tredicenne immaginando chissà che storia romantica e divertente ed è inutile quindi sottolineare che appena ho scoperto che il libro era stato tradotto in italiano ho voluto a tutti i costi metterci le mani addosso per poterlo finalmente leggere. Nonostante sia stata contenta di rimuovere dopo tanto tempo un libro dalla mia TBR devo ammettere di trovarmi di fronte uno di quei casi in cui la mia fantasia era molto più gradevole della triste realtà. La storia ci appare molto semplice e immediata mettendoci, mediante l'alternanza di due POV, nei panni del dolce e gentile principe Daniel e del rocker bello e dannato Nathan, due uomini molto diversi tra di loro per abitudini, stile di vita e posizione sociale. Danny è un ragazzo buono e gentile, un principe che nonostante il peso della corona è sempre riuscito a vivere la sua vita in totale libertà, ha sempre avuto alle spalle una famiglia dolce e amorevole e salvo qualche piccolo inconveniente, legato a qualche parente fin troppo serpente, non gli sono mai mancate attenzioni sincere e un sostegno prezioso. I suoi cari non sono mai stati preoccupati del suo orientamento sessuale, non lo hanno mai discriminato, permettendogli di fare un coming out pubblico e riuscire a vivere in pieno la sua vita senza timore delle critiche e delle malelingue. Tutto l'opposto del leader dei Moonstones. Nathan è un cantante di successo che fa impazzire le fan per la sua abilità canora e bellezza e proprio per quel dovere che sente di avere nei confronti dei compagni della band e dei seguaci non ha mai avuto il coraggio di rivelare al mondo la sua vera natura. Il passato ancora lo perseguita così come il bullismo che aveva subito da ragazzo e lo portano a vivere una mezza vita, spingendolo a nascondersi nell'armadio senza poter avere una storia d'amore seria. Nathan e Danny sono opposti in tutto e non sembrano mai avere occasione di potersi incontrare almeno fino a quando il destino o meglio la buffa Lizzie, cugina del nobile, non ci mette lo zampino. Lizzie desiderosa di conoscere un amico virtuale con cui si era data appuntamento tempo prima trascina il suo cuginetto preferito a un concerto del famoso gruppo ignorando che da li a poco si creerà una vera e propria valanga che travolgerà la sua famiglia cambiandola per sempre. Mesi dopo Lizzie è infatti pronta a sposarsi con il suo fidanzato/ex amico virtuale e cosa può fare il suo cugino preferito se non invitare la band così cara alla consanguinea? E cosa può fare il caro Daniel di fronte alla sensualità di un cantante che ha il coraggio di corteggiarlo solo sotto le lenzuola? Come potete immaginare è l'inizio di una storia frizzante, erotica e divertente. Una storia che riesce senza dubbio a intrattenere vista la sua spensieratezza e leggerezza ma che ahimè non brilla per originalità e contenuto. Se da una parte infatti possiamo senza problemi goderci qualche oretta di relax scollegando completamente il nostro cervello e godendoci tutti i caldi e bollenti incontri della coppia dall'altra basta pochissimo per notare i molti, forse troppi, difetti che caratterizzano questo libro. La narrazione risulta essere troppo frammentata saltando repentinamente tra una situazione e l'altra senza fermarsi e concentrarsi sui momenti davvero importanti. I protagonisti se non per alcune caratteristiche sono descritti in modo fin troppo superficiale risultando quasi dei cliché di altri generi letterari e cinematografici con il principe buono come il pane e che potrebbe gareggiare in virtù positive con il Papa e il rocker per forza di cose bello e dannato perché tormentato dai suoi problemi interiori, cose già viste e sentite e che non aiutano a creare un legame emotivo con il lettore. Le interazioni all'interno della coppia sono per lo più di tipo sessuale e nonostante sia apprezzabile il modo in cui ci vengono descritti tali incontri, molto caldi e piccanti, non è sufficiente a creare affiatamento e amore tra i due. La storia manca di verosimiglianza non solo per lo status dei protagonisti ma proprio per la loro incapacità di relazionarsi fuori dal letto. Non aiuta neanche la mancanza di personaggi secondari affiatati e importanti. Gli amici e i parenti dei giovani nonostante la presentazione rimangono sullo sfondo interagendo solo limitatamente con i ragazzi e solo per muovere di poco la bilancia e spingere i due a fare qualcosa che non sia saltarsi addosso come coniglietti. Degli interventi che spesso risultano fuori luogo spingendo il lettore a chiedersi come è possibile che i due abbiano un bisogno costante di babysitter pronti a spingerli a fare la cosa giusta nonostante siano adulti e vaccinati. Una storia insomma un po' fiacca e che viene ulteriormente rovinata da refusi presenti nel testo e uno stile non proprio brillante e che troppo spesso mi ha ricordato quello di alcune fan fiction. Cosa posso dirvi di più? Sono rimasta un po' delusa, non mi aspettavo una storia da premio Oscar ma almeno speravo in un coinvolgimento emotivo più marcato, in un messaggio di fondo magari anche da fiaba Disney ma comunque apprezzabile mentre tutto si è risolto con un racconto per lo più erotico e che può essere amato solo da quelle persone che non cercano qualcosa di eccezionale ma si accontentano di spezzare la routine con novelle leggere e poco impegnative. Non mi sento di consigliarvelo essendoci di meglio sulla piazza ma se siete amanti dell'erotismo e meno schizzinosi della sottoscritta potete provare a dargli una possibilità essendo una lettura tutto sommato piacevole e meno pesante rispetto a opere più famose e blasonate.

The writing can be tightened up a bit, as can the characterization and motivations. Having said that, this book delivers on all my expectations for MM Royalty Romance, and even manages to subvert the tired trope of "but who will the heir be" by giving us a non-crown-prince prince! Not even a brother, but a cousin with all the benefits that a royal character brings while excluding the unnecessary and frankly overdone themes of "we can't have a gay king!" and "you need to marry a woman!"

This is what you get when you're not afraid to stretch a theme beyond what has been done a hundred times before. So refreshing, I loved it!

5 Stars for the novel plus 1 Star for having two gay characters plus 100 Stars for actually having the word 'gay' in the series tag! Is gay making a comeback in MM Romance? Probably not, but a boy can dream...

I got this book as a free download from the author's newsletter. I thought the story and the characters were great. What let it down was from the proofreading and editing. One character appeared to have a name change! I have come to accept that in this genre there are bound to be some typos, but I still found simple mistakes to bother me. In the digital version I have, towards the end of the story paragraphs appeared with lines above and below the them,almost as if they had just been inserted. The words made sense, but it was disconcerting to my enjoyment of the story I have added the other two books in the series to my "To Read" list and hope the superficial problems mentioned here are rectified.

Prince Daniel and his cousin lizzy turn at one of favourite concerts the moonstone to meet up with a guy lizzy hook up with online but Daniel was there for the lead singer who took his breath, away, Nathan the lead singer of the moon stones had a secret and it was killing him, that he had to hide it when him and his band got offered a gig in raplen for a wedding he never in his wildest dreams, that he would found the person who's going to rock his world forever , I really enjoyed all these series they were really good

I sat and read Dancing with Danny in one sitting. I couldn’t put it down. I absolutely loved the characters of Danny and Nathan and the chemistry between them was perfectly written. Stuck in the closet is one of my favourite tropes and Nathan’s struggle was written great by Boyce. I loved the combination of minor characters that I’m sure will make some great reads as the series continues - which I am definitely looking forward to. I’ll be adding Boyce to my alert list so I don’t miss a release.

I rarely give 5 stars to new authors. So this says a lot about this book. Be prepared, the language is great the vocabulary amazing, the story is well plotted and strung together tightly. There are many fun sexscapades (I know I made up that word, but it fits). This story is hot and steamy and romantic and moving by turns. Honestly Alice Bryce goes on my must read list as of now. I wish Raplen was a real place I'd love to visit it. The character development is well rounded and charming. Can't wait for book two in this series.

I really enjoyed this story of the Prince and the Rockstar. The storyline pulled me in from the very beginning and kept me glued to my kindle until the very end. Danny, an out and proud Prince, and Nathan, a still in the closet rockstar, have sizzling chemistry and they're sweet and sexy. This book had me laughing and the secondary characters were spectacular and really added to the story. I'm looking forward to more from this series.

This was first book by Ms. Avery and I hooked! Danny and Nathan were perfect for each other. Danny is out and proud while Nathan is hiding his true self due to his childhood. The push and pull throughout the book was phenomenal. I heart broke for both of the guys. This book had lots of steam, lots of drama, some jealousy, great intrigue, attention keeper, and an out of this world HEA. I highly recommend this book anyone looking for fantastic MM romance. I can't wait to read the read of series!

Rock Me is a good read for someone who wants a simple, sweet romance that involves royalty with a bit of hurt and comfort.
The characters, while likeable, are bit cliche with the wicked stepmother, in this case, it's in the form of a royal aunt. A Prince Charming, which incidentally is the main character's, Nathan's, nickname for Prince Daniel.

The story is predictable but enjoyable. It was a easy-to-read romance.

This is the second book of Avery Katz’s I’ve read it wasn’t what I was expecting it was so much better. This story is about Nathan who is a rock god he’s bisexual but he’s too afraid to come out because he might lose everything so he stays in the closet. Prince Danny is gay he’s out and he’s loud and proud about it he goes to a Moonstone concert and falls for Nathan but there is no way that Nathan is coming out, so can Danny put up with another closeted partner?. Fantastic story I enjoyed it immensely and I recommend this book.

This really was a cute story. Danny and Nathan were likeable characters, and there were some really good scenes. I had a hard time getting past a couple of things, like a famous rockstar calling for an Uber after a concert, and a prince flying to the US on a commercial flight, with no bodyguard. There were also moments when I'd have liked to read more about the men's feelings. Overall though, this was a fun story, and I will read more from this author.

A sweet romance!
A charming prince.
A rock star.

Set primarily in a fictional country in Europe.
Partially set in America.

Concerts bring together a princess, an online suitor and a prince.
When the princess gets engaged, a prince arranges for a rock star to play at a party for her.
That is when the prince and the rock star meet.
Needless to say, it's instant attraction. But one is in the closet and one isn't.

La historia de Nathan y Dan es re mona. Me encantan las historias que tienen que ver con la realeza y esta tiene un toque extravagante.

Aunque en algún punto la historia tiene algunas incongruencias en opiniones plasmadas anteriormente, al final la historia es mona para leer de pasada. Y claro, da ganas de saber qué pasará en las siguientes.

Prince Daniel lusts after Rockstar Nathan at first sight. Through clever chance, the passion is reciprocated. The plot has the reader mostly in the fictional Raplen, with trios to Chicago. The royal family and the Moonstone band members get enough ink for them to play critical roles in the story. The MCs rut frequently, and in detail. A very entertaining (light on angst) novel.

Enjoyable

Sometimes I need a sweet yet 🔥 story that just makes me smile 😃 and feel good. This is that kind of book. I liked the characters and rooted for them. On to the next in the series.

I enjoyed this story. We should always be true to ourselves and Danny helped Nathan to see that he would never be truly be happy until he was true to himself. Love is gay, straight or whatever you are. Love the steamy love sceans.

This was my first book by Avery Katz and it definitely won't be my last. It drew me in from the very first page and I couldn't put it down. I absolutely loved Nathan and Danny and I didn't want their story to end. Loved it!
