I have so many books going at the same time right now, that I wasn't able to finish Teach Them Diligently the first time I borrowed the ebook on Hoopla. I chose it because a FB group I belonged to was going to discuss it. Apparently, that never happened, but since I had used one of my five borrows for October on it, I decided to read it. It was good enough, that I tried to read it slowly and thoroughly, which meant I didn't complete it. I even used one of my November borrows on it! It was good enough to borrow it twice!
Leslie Nunnery wrote, not exactly like a friend over coffee, but more as a long distance mentor and encourager. I appreciated that, because I don't love some of the overly friendly, chatty books I've read over the years unless I am very familiar through a blog with that author and her style. Certainly. as a homeschooler, I have heard of the TTD conventions and thought this book would be directed toward homeschooling moms of littles. This book is not written just to homeschoolers, but to all moms.
There is a plethora of Bible verses throughout Teach Them Diligently. Only the King James version is used, which I don't mind, but am not a King James Only bible reader. Several times I looked up the verses in other versions. I did not find a single verse that seemed to be taken out of context or did not relate to the chapter in which it was included.
The segments for reflection at the end of each chapter were very helpful and I made sure to read and note each one so that I can continue to use the ideas for prayer and personal contemplation.
