OMG! This book had me in tears. It was so roller coaster emotional. At the same time it was scorching hot sexually. Reading Yousef’s broken English felt so real and made my skin itch but fit perfectly into place the way it was written. This is one book worth picking up.
Finally I got to read an MM story about an Arab Prince. As a young girl, I grew up reading romance books about Arab princes, so reading this one made me swoon as if I was still that young girl. It was high time! Douglas and Prince Yousef Ahmed 's story is in fact 10 times better because these two set the pages on fire with their sizzling passion. The story is erotic, and romantic while touching some thorny social issues. I like the way the author tactfully blended the romantic fiction with reality. There were times I felt choked up and deeply sad for those two, but in between, I smiled and swooned at times! Great story for escapism and relaxation while sipping a glass of wine. :)
I enjoyed this very much! I had yet to read a book with the subject this one has but I must say, the way the author wrote it was fantastic. Douglas and Yousef have much love to give. With Zander, Yousef had so little time. But it was a great love. With Douglas, Zander's father, Yousef was able to put his life back together and have that same great love. ..hopefully a lifetime with each other. Off the charts chemistry in this story. A great deal of sadness but also a great deal of healing through love.
