About the author

Philippe Sollers (born Philippe Joyaux) is a French writer and critic. In 1960 he founded the avant garde journal Tel Quel (along with the writer and art critic Marcelin Pleynet), published by Seuil, which ran until 1982. In 1982 Sollers then created the journal L'Infini published by Denoel which was later published under the same title by Gallimard for whom Sollers also directs the series.

Sollers was at the heart of the intense period of intellectual unrest in the Paris of the 1960s and 1970s. Among others, he was a friend of Jacques Lacan, Louis Althusser and Roland Barthes. These three characters are described in his novel, Femmes (1983) alongside a number of other figures of the French intellectual movement before and after May 1968. From A Strange Solitude, The Park and Event, through "Logiques", Lois and Paradis, down to Watteau in Venice, Une vie divine and "La Guerre du goût", the writings of Sollers have often provided contestation, provocation and challenging.

In his book Writer Sollers, Roland Barthes discusses the work of Phillippe Sollers and the meaning of language.

Sollers married Julia Kristeva in 1967.

Dünyanın dışından merkezine, zihinden bedene oradan zihin-beden’e bir çemberdir varoluş dedi sanki yazar-adam:) Şiir gibiydi biraz. Biraz da her şeyin romanı gibi. Azıcık ucundan Psikanaliz ve genel bir dünya tarihi bilgisi gerektiriyor. Bilgi roman diye bir şey varsa vücut bulmuş hali. Sherlock Freud benzetmesi beni mest etti. Başı sonu belli bir hikaye akışı olan romanlardan değil. Yeni-Roman’ın her bir nüvesini barındırıyor adeta. Zaten Philippe Sollers de Fransız. 2024 güzelleşmeye başladı.

Freudlu, Lacanlı, Hitlerli Avrupa yıllarından bu zamana uzanan, başlarda şüpheye düşüren ama sonunda sağlam bir roman olduğunu gösteren bir metin. Érıc Vuillard'ın Gündem romanıyla yan yana yerleştirdim kafamda. Ona da 4 puan vermiştim, Merkez'e de öyle.

Voilà un livre qui pourrait sembler bien profond mais qui ne rivalise guère qu’avec les maximes bouddhistes illustrant les photos des instagrameuses en collants lycra devant les couchers de soleil maldiviens.



Et si ce prétentieux recueil de pensées paraîtrait sagace grâce à ses petits chapitres prometteurs… Il ne fait malheureusement qu’esquisser de vagues concepts sans prendre le risque de les fouiller. Qui plus est, l’auteur m’a franchement lassé à force de discréditer les gueux, incultes et pisse-froid qui oseraient le juger. Il ne s’agit finalement là que d’une ode à l’intellect de Monsieur Sollers et de sa si délicieuse et brillante maîtresse.



Un beau style, certes, un peu d’érudition, soit ! Et ?
