This book is a good 'guide line' book. The language in the book, and what may really be sang at a Bembe depends on the people. The book was a little too confusing to navigate through.
The book goes on to talk about certain paths or ' Caminos' of some of the Orishas, but fails to tell the reader that there are other paths not in the books.
All in all, this is a hard to find book, but reall worth getting..
This is probably one of the only two books I've come across to give out full Lucumi Yoruban lyrics to these religious songs, ALONG with an ENGLISH translation. The translation is pretty accurate, I believe.

Excellent source for the music, it's translation and history. I wouldn't be who or what I am without this book.

Book of Orisa songs...a real gem for any Aborisha.
