Kay Lee Arthur was an American Christian author, Bible teacher, and co-founder of Precept Ministries International. Renowned for her accessible and inductive approach to Bible study, she helped millions engage deeply with Scripture. Arthur began her ministry informally, teaching teenagers in her living room alongside her second husband, Jack Arthur. Their work soon grew into a global outreach, headquartered in Chattanooga, Tennessee, under the name Precept Ministries International. She hosted the daily Bible teaching program Precepts for Life and became a respected voice in evangelical circles. Arthur authored numerous books and was a four-time winner of the ECPA Christian Book Award for titles such as A Marriage Without Regrets and The New Inductive Study Bible. Her ministry was rooted in a personal reawakening to faith in the early 1960s, following a divorce and a return to religious life. She and Jack also served briefly as missionaries in Mexico before founding their ministry. Arthur remained active in public faith-based initiatives into her later years and was known for her firm stances on social issues. She passed away on 2025 leaving behind a lasting legacy in Christian education and publishing.
This book is so full of Scripture (which makes sense if it’s the “Truth About Sex”). I’ve used it as a devotion over the last couple weeks. Kay speaks with such grace and truth. Her words bring healing to brokenness and a constant encouragement. This book really is the most complete Biblical outline of the beautiful gift of sex God has created. It includes areas to reflect and take notes. Great for anyone to read: single, engaged, or married.
This book takes scripture from the Bible and walks through how God has intended sex to be. It discusses the beauty of sex and backs it up with statistics to show how and why God’s way is the best way. Honestly a great book for anyone, but especially for someone who is single and debating whether or not they should wait until they’re married.
This book was awesome! I read it after a Women's Conference I went to with my Mom. I was reading it while working with elementary kids and actually covered the word sex up with blue painters tape so I could take it to work with me.
While I may have personal disagreements with the authors opinions,I will admit wholeheartedly about their research and reference to the bible isn't only admirable but should be applauded and applied by all Christian writers.
A must buy if sex is something you have always wanted to understand biblically.
Truth may not always be easy but it is always right and good. Author delves with you into scripture to uncover and make personal what god really says and envisions for our sexual lives and relationships. Encouraging and above all Biblical, this is a must read for everyone who claims the name of Jesus.
The Bible study contained within the pages was an in depth understanding of why sex should be saved until marriage. Although the book is specific to the old biblical teaching and contains scriptures from the New American Standard Bible (NASB), it could come across as extremely judgemental for those who are early in their Walk with God. Otherwise it's a great read and a great study.
Excellent Excellent book! We read in a class , at my Church and it opened up a lot of doors that were needed. We're planning to do her next book about marriage.
