This is a very colorful and interested guidebook, featuring photos (with descriptions and background) of selected works from the various collections in the Louvre. I believe it covers most of the "famous" works that people try to highlight when visiting the Louvre.
The photos were of excellent quality, and the descriptions gave enough info to be interesting without overdoing the details.
