While this is book 4 in the With a Kiss series, it is absolutely a stand-alone romance. Rose Finch lived by checklists: - Be an independent woman: check. - Owner of successful company: check. - Become a fierce and respected lady boss: check. - Live within a strict routine as not to encounter anything unexpected: double check. Aiden Daniels was not on her list. Well, that was until she found herself in a situation she’d never imagined involving the man who was unimaginably gorgeous. Not to mention strong, capable, sexy, and everything she never dared to hope for. For the very first time, Rose wasn’t thinking about her career, or her ten-year plan, or her stock portfolio. Nope, she was thinking about a man. The worst part? He was thinking about her too. Will Rose be able to step out of her box and let Aiden in? Or will love and happiness ultimately end up on the list of things she’d never have?

Anie Michaels is the author of the Never series, the Private serial, the Love and Loss series, the With a Kiss series, and stand-alone novels The Space Between Us and Instead of You. She started writing her first novel in June 2013 and hasn’t looked back since. Working at home as a full-time writer of books, when she is not pounding on the keyboard she can be found reading, playing with her kids, spending time with her family, and connecting with her close friends. She’s spent her entire life in the Pacific Northwest, lives in Portland, Oregon, and can’t imagine ever being anywhere else… except maybe somewhere tropical.
I feel like I'm having nightmares I can't seem to escape virgins. Picture it, 2018... I'm running down the street and thousands of virgins running after me I run, run, run, I pause to catch a breath because I'm still not much of a runner, I catch my breath and keep on going but they're keep gaining up on me. Yes that what I feel like every time I turn there's a new virgin book and no one bothers to mention this in their reviews.
So imagine my surprise when the heroine said she was a virgin.. I was like really? A 30 year old virgin? I liked that she was independent and a bit strong. “I strived to never cower or let a man make me feel inferior.”
I felt she was real, she struggled with her feelings, she fought them. For once the heroine is the one who's running scared and the hero who wants more, who wants a commitment from her. Hero was a good man and a good son. I liked him.. He helped people who needed help. He was also patient with the heroine. He didn't show off his money so that makes me like him. He wasn't a casual dater but he has had his hook ups. I wouldn't call him a manwhore and it could have been worse, the author could have paired this virgin heroine with a walking std stick. “Nothing has ever changed my world like you have, Rose. I never want to go back to a life without you in it."
Coming Up Roses by Anie Michaels is a contemporary romance novel. This book can be read as a stand alone but you will see characters from previous books by this author. This is not my first book by this author but in my opinion her books keep getting better and better with each one that I read. I enjoy her writing style that keeps me engaged and is easy flowing. I enjoy how she can pull me into the story right from the beginning. Her characters are both connectable and true to life. I can see myself being friends with them. This is the story of Rose and Aiden. Rose is a woman who is successful with her own business and knows where she is going. She lives by a predictable schedule that she doesn't sway from. She has lists for everything including her morning routine until she meets Aiden. He of course is not on her list. They meet when she has to step in for one of her employees. She can't seem to get him out of her head but he is having the same problem. Will she be able to let Aiden in? Will he break her down? Will he be the distraction that she wasn't expecting? I enjoyed both of these characters. Rose is a strong woman who knows what she wants and where she is going. She did make me laugh a few times and appears to be a little naive. Aiden is a sexy, gorgeous and from the moment that he meets Rose can't get her out of his mind. Together they just fit together, they have great chemistry. Neither one was looking for the other but sometimes that happens, it comes to find you. The secondary characters are just as connectable and strong. They are supportive and just want what is best for these characters. I highly suggest this book. Find out what happens when love knocks these two over when they are not looking and if fate will allow a happy ever after.
Coming up Roses is a standalone novel. If you read "Kiss Cam","Riled Up" and "Had Enough" you'll meet some known faces in this story. Rose is a driven businesswoman. Her life is centered around lists and order. At least until Aiden walks into her life. Or should I say until he drags her into his? From the outside, Rose is strong and fierce. But - Rose has a secret. Rose's secret is one of the parts that make this story one of the sweetest stories I've read so far this year.
Anie Michaels returns to the With a Kiss series with Rose and Aiden’s story in Coming Up Roses. This novel has all of the charm, humor, and romance I’ve come to love from this series and yet still feels fresh and entirely unique. Rose and Aiden make their mark in a very big way, standing on their own and leaving me no choice but to take the leap with them. This duo was delightfully unexpected, and I wanted to savor their story and devour it simultaneously. Coming Up Roses was the perfect mix of electrifying chemistry and slow burn, keeping me on my toes and yet totally satisfied. From the moment they met to the very last page, I was under Rose and Aiden’s spell. Anie Michaels also delivers more of Riley, Camden, Hadley, and Justin and together, this group is absolutely everything. I laughed and felt and fell in love all over again.
One of the things I enjoy most about this series is that each character is so wildly different and wonderfully quirky. Aiden and Rose are certainly no exception, and I relished getting to know them over the course of this story. Aiden was patient, kind, protective, and seriously swoon-worthy. He made my heart flutter as I fell hard for the way he loved Rose: fiercely and without reservation. Rose, on the other hand, stole my heart with how real and relatable she was. Her insecurities and fears ran deep, and they provided a captivating contrast to the otherwise confident and in control businesswoman. As much as I loved both of these characters on their own, it was the enchanting combination of Aiden and Rose that really packed a punch. I adored watching them grow together, challenging one another to step outside of what was familiar and safe and take a chance on forever.
This book was utterly sweet, perfect in its understated and genuine emotion. Aiden and Rose’s relationship evolved so organically and comfortably that I didn’t even realize they’d completely stolen my heart until it was too late to turn back. I was smitten by this couple’s inimitable connection, wanting nothing more than to stay beside them on their journey long after the final page had been turned. Anie Michaels’ writing absolutely sparkles as she effortlessly recaptures the magic of the With a Kiss series with this newest addition. The author drops readers right back into her vibrant, hilarious, and deliciously dreamy world of unforgettable characters and somehow makes it bigger, brighter, and even more beautiful. Coming Up Roses is contemporary romance at its best - smart, witty, sexy, and full of heart. For author Anie Michaels, this novel is definitely Coming Up Roses!
Coming Up Roses: #MeetCute (With A Kiss Book 4) By Anie Michaels 5 Stars!!!
Coming Up Roses is the first book that I have read by Anie Michaels and I am blown away! I wasn’t expecting to love this book as much as I did. This book is the 4th book in the With A Kiss series but it can be read as a standalone. The characters in this book were introduced in the previous books but it isn’t necessary to read them first. This book is about Rose. She is an independent business woman that has worked hard for her business; but her personal life has been at a standstill. And in walks in Aiden. He is as focuses on his business as she is and they could never work, until they try. This is a wonderful 5 star read! Review by Anastasia D.
Coming Up Roses is Anie’s next wonderful standalone novel. If you have read all of her words then you might remember both Rose and Aiden. Rose is Riley’s boss and I had the pleasure of meeting her in Riled Up. Aiden is a newer friend to the group and was introduced in Hadley’s book, Had Enough. You do not need to read those books to read this one but I recommend that you do at some point since they are just as awesome.
Rose loves lists and routine. They have gotten her this far. She is a successful independent businesswoman as an event planner in Portland. She is a healthy thirty-something because of her calorie count and gym routines. She doesn’t have much of a social life but she has what she needs. That is what she thought until a man in flannel put his arms around her. She never felt such strength, protectiveness, or desire. He was not on her list. He wasn’t even on her schedule until that morning.
Aiden had never felt this way about a woman. He felt something the moment they touched. She was so proper compared to his dirty. He built homes in the middle of nowhere. She planned parties in gardens. He heard Riley when she told him that Rose didn’t date but he knew she felt their connection out in those woods. He couldn’t just let her go. He had to prove to her that he was worth the risk. To be put on her list. Her list of wants, needs, and even more.
Aiden and Rose’s relationship is beautiful, sexy, and so much fun. Even Rose couldn’t believe how much fun it would be. She didn’t do spontaneous. She didn’t do sleepovers. She didn’t hit the snooze button. She had order. A place for everything. She didn’t expect Aiden. She was scared and excited all at the same time. Will fear of the unknown make her run or will she run towards the chaos that a relationship brings?
Overall...Awww! These two. They are just so damn cute. They are so also so fucking hot. Their chemistry is sizzling. Their connection is beautiful. They have their obstacles to tackle. Insecurities to kill. Love to be had. It is one of my favorite books by Anie and that is saying a lot.
Quotes:
“If you pull any shenanigans and I end up soaked, I’ll find a way to get you back.” “Trust me, Rose. The first time I get you soaked, you’ll enjoy it.”
My little planner, my rule follower, my happy-inside-the-box Rose, wanted something she wasn’t sure she could have—abandon.
“People make a huge deal about being whipped, but honestly, haters gonna hate.” “You went to law school, right? ’Cause I think you just quoted Taylor Swift.” I kept laughing. “I quoted her, but you knew who I was talking about.” He raised one eyebrow at me. “You got me there.”
Every book is better than the last! This book is a read as a standalone, however if you've read Kiss Cam, Riled Up and Had Enough by Anie Michaels you may have recognized Rose and Aiden. You do not need to read those books to read this one. I am sooooo glad Anie Michaels decided to write Rose's story and I am so glad out of everyone that she could fall for, it was Aiden. He was so sweet to Hadley and I knew he would be perfect for Rose, even though she had no idea at first. If you don't know something or have never experienced something its hard to know what it is, no matter how many people tell you or even if it in front of your face.
People need time and that is what Rose needed, time to catch up, time to realize that Aiden was the one, time to believe that this is really happening and not waiting for the downfall. Rose lives in a world where nothing changes, her daily routine was the same everyday. She didnt have many friends and that was okay for her because she had focused her whole time in Portland building up her business. Organization and lists were what she was all about. Aiden realized that right away, he treated her like a princess and would not give up on her, no matter how many times she asked. He gave her time but never let go of her. He never let her forget how happy and good they were together. He felt something the first moment they touched and he knew she felt their connection too. He just needed her to believe that she was capable of being in a relationship and that not everything was lists and planning. Spontaneous was fun and he wanted her to live and enjoy every day!
These two are complete opposite but we all know what they say, opposite attracts and this story could not make that statement more true! Anie, next I want Rachel's and Tripp's story next ;) hahahaha
**This ARC was sent to me by Anie Michaels for my honest opinion and review**
This is a nice easy read. It doesn’t have that OMgosh factor buts it’s still a good story and I did have a few favorite parts. I loved their first lunch meeting together! I really felt like Rose was able to let some control go and she seemed to really have fun! of course it didn’t hurt to have the sexy capable Aiden by her side.
Aiden is a cool guy with a lumberjack persona. He seems very determined and the more Rose resists he seems more interested. I love how he is always touching her but my fav is how he slides her over in the truck. His pow wows with Justin and Camden are very cute...you know guy talk.
Rose is all about control using her lists and rules to help her. She has decided she doesn’t need a man to make her life full. So when Aiden appears in her life and wants her to let him have control over their meeting she balks....at first. Seems she can’t stop thinking about him and all the things she would like to do with him.
I love how Aiden tells Rose she is beautiful frequently. My fav line in reference to this is: “I mean, you’re beautiful all the time. But when you laugh, it’s breathtaking.” Cue the swoon now!
There are some nice girlfriends (Riley and Hadley) in here that give Rose dating advice. Apparently they are from previous books by Anie Michaels. I have not read either but in leading a bit about them I am interested in how they got their men.
“I never want to go back to a life without you in it.”
Coming Up Roses by Anie Michaels is a phenomenal read! It’s sweet, funny, steamy and real! The character development was amazing as the two main characters really opened up as the story went on. I immediately liked Rose as we had so much in common. She loves a good routine and she’s very organized, we both love making lists and have a mutual hatred for the snooze button. She was such a relatable character which made me love this story even more then I already did.
I have quickly become a fan of Anie Michaels work, I manage to be swept up in the stories from the get go as there’s so much detail that makes it easy to do so. This story had me feeling all kinds of emotional, from empathy, sadness, humour, and of course love. I really enjoyed that characters from Anie’s other work made appearances, it was a nice surprise to this story as I got to follow those characters some more.
I look forward to reading Riley’s (supporting character) story, Riled Up, in the near future! I would absolutely recommend this book and author to others!
Its official Rose is by far my favourite heroine in a story ever! I love that fact that she loves lists as much as I do!! She really was such a lovely character and I loved reading her story. This is the second book that I have read by this author and what still strikes me the most is how well developed her characters are. She is happy to have that instant attraction between the two main characters but have a slower build to their relationship. I really liked Aiden; he was so sweet and patient with Rose. He had this genuine side to him; he was a great alpha male but not arrogant or overbearing. He definitely makes the perfect book boyfriend! I haven’t read all of the previous books in the series but I loved the secondary characters and how they supported both Rose and Aiden. I would definitely love to go back and read their stories too. I have read Hadley’s story and I loved seeing her in this one again! I really loved the gentle feel to this book; the pace was good and the storyline too. I really enjoyed reading it and would definitely recommend it!
Coming Up Roses by Anie Michaels is the fourth book in her With A Kiss series. This book can be read as a stand-alone although I’m sure if you are anything like me after reading this book you will go straight back to read the whole series.
Rose is very much an independent woman. She knows what she wants out of life and she knows exactly how to go about getting it. With a very structured, organised approach to everything the one thing she could not plan for is Aiden. He does not fit into any of her lists at all. However once she has met him Rose cannot stop thinking about him. And to find out he can’t stop thinking about her might be too much to resist. Rose has to figure out if she can work him into her plans or if the plans are too stringent. And if he can’t be worked in is he enough to make her throw her plans right out the window?
This is not the first book I have read by this author but this has to be one of my favourite ones. I loved the story of Rose and Aiden, I found I connected with Rose and her perception of things a lot. The story was well written and kept me engaged through to the end. A definite thumbs up from me.
Coming Up Roses by Anie Michaels can be read as a standalone romance. Rose and Aiden were both introduced in Kiss Cam, Riled Up and Had Enough. These characters are fantastic, how their lives are intertwined and the way their relationships continue to grow. Rose is a strong, independent woman. She is totally in control all of the time and plans everything. Her list making skills are superior. After being swept off her feet, literally by Aiden Daniels, she is at a lose. He is like no other man she has ever met. He has awaken something in her. But Rose does not date or do relationships. It quickly becomes Aiden's mission to change her mind, give him a chance and put him at the top of her to do list. I devoured this book in one day! I loved these characters. Aiden will make you fall in love. Rose's struggles will melt your heart. Their chemistry is like a wild fire. This book is hot! Anie Michaels is at the top of my favorite authors list and this book solidifies her rank.
Ive read a few books by Anie Michaels and one from this series, like the last this book didn't dissapoint me either. I recommend reading the other books too, You see the others characters stories and such, you can see the grand picture. I love the authors writing style and the main character. I found this book relatable, I really felt the characters personality's shine through and the internal conflict that the characters like us face in life. The romance in this book was as always amazing and sexy. I always enjoy the sub characters to they always blend into the story and make it that much more.

I loved Aiden & Rose's story! Talk about polar opposites! Both are very driven in the professional lives. When it come's to Rose's personal life she does not date and is driven by her lists! As opposite as they were they absolutely work! Story was beautifully written! Highly recommend!
Coming Up Roses by Anie Michaels is a quirky and humorous romance that kept me thoroughly engaged from beginning to end. The characters were believable and interesting. The storyline was energetic and fast paced. Just everything about Aiden and Rose appealed to my romantic heart.
Aiden was the calm presence that Rose did not even know she needed. Aiden's life more chaotic than Rose's structured and planned out existence. They had the perfect balance and it was a treat getting to know them.
As this was my first time reading a story by Anie Michaels, I was not what to expect. I was so beyond happy with this book and the content. I will be reading everything this author has written. I could not get enough. 5 stars.
Coming Up Roses by Anie Michaels is a romance that can be read as a standalone novel. Rose knows exactly what she wants for her life and does not want to change what she wants. Aiden who she met, was not part of that plan. Rose does not date, which makes any chance for Aiden very difficult. But he is not the type of man to give up. He is a very caring and passionate man who knows what he wants but will he be able to convince Rose. Will she let him in her life? Will Aiden give up or fight?
What a great contemporary romance by Anie Michaels. Coming Up Roses was well written and flows with ease. You will read it in one sitting because you will not want to put it down. The characters were well developed and likable. What a great read!
Coming Up Roses is a standalone but if you've read Kiss Cam, Riled Up or Had Enough by Anie Michaels, you've been introduced to the characters. With the introduction of theses characters in these previous 5 star reads I was excited to see what would happen. Rose is an independent business woman that has worked hard for her business. Her personal life has took a back burner. Aiden likes women but focuses on his business and what he can do for his community. One stray business meeting has changed them both.
Coming Up Roses by Anie Michaels is book four of the With a Kiss Series. This book can be read as a standalone, which is what I did.
Rose lived by checklists and routine. She did everything according to her lists and didn’t find anything wrong with not encountering anything unexpected. She didn’t expect that taking a meeting for one of her employees would lead her to Aiden Daniels.
Aiden was not on any of Rose’s lists. But for once, she caught her thoughts drifting to something other than her company, her lists or her routines. She can’t help it though. Aiden Daniels is everything Rose hasn’t let herself want. Now though, Aiden is thinking of her too, which has caught him off guard as well. Will Rose be able to give up her lists and routines and let Aiden in or will it prove to be too much for her?
This book is sexy and fun! I was surprised by how fun the relationship between Rose and Aiden was because of her strict routines and lists. When I started reading, I didn’t expect that I would like Rose as much as I ended up loving her!! This book was such a good read, I read it in one sitting. It is so good I’m going to go back and read the first three books!!
Where to start? First of all I'm pretty sure I have a new BBF in Aiden and his hot lumberjack self! I couldn't believe g how much I identified with Rose and all her lists. I laughed so much over it. Rose and Aiden together are an absolute joy and so realistic that I was pulled right in and I loved it all!! I wish there was more!!
I have read everything this amazing author has ever wrote & loved it all but the With a Kiss series is definitely my favourite.
In this book we follow Rose & Aiden as they navigate the path to true love. Rose is a successful business woman with very little time or inclination with regards to a relationship. Aiden is also highly successful but is definitely more open to love than Rose. I absolutely loved the chemistry between them but really enjoyed the slow burn storyline which fit perfectly with their personalities.
This book is a standalone but if you haven't read the previous books in the series then why the hell not!
Coming up Roses by Anie Michaels is the story of Rose and Aiden.
Rose owns an event planning business and has her life and day planned to the minute. When she meets Aiden she is thrown for a loop, as he is much more spontaneous.
Rose doesn’t date and has never been in a relationship, which proves challenging for Aiden, but he does not give up. He is a strong, caring, passionate man who is falling hard for the woman who puts up barriers and won’t let anyone in.
This is a sweet story with very little drama and a nice HEA.
I’m always excited to read one of Anie Michael’s books and received an ARC for an honest review. I look forward to her next release.
I absolutely loved Rose and Aiden together! Their story was so sweet! Rose had never really dated and Aiden had been with his share of ladies, but when they met and spent a little bit of time together, they both knew it would mean more than anything ever had. There wasn’t a lot of drama, but a truly wonderful story!
I loved read in the story of Rose and Aiden. How they came together in the beginning and he helped her out. Watching him try to get her to like him and her not wanting to. I also liked that Rose starts opening up to Hadley and Riley also. I'm glad to see her going to them to help her out. I don't like to give to much away but I loved this book and I'll probably be reading it again at some point.
Rose lives her life by a checklist and pretty well sticks to it. That's until she meets Aiden. Will she let his good looks and charm sway her outta her comfort zone? what willl she do when it does happen, can she let go of her old ways and start a new journey
I’m not surprised that I loved Rose and Aiden’s story. This is part of a series but can be read as a stand-alone. I highly recommend the three previous books though!
Rose lives off of a list and doesn’t expect to ever find love. While on a job she meets the lumberjack, Aiden who is completely her opposite but sparks fly right away.
She is scared to let him into her life because it is throwing of her life plan. But when she learns that things don’t always work out as we think they will, she’ll find a once in a lifetime love 💕
Coming Up Roses is the fourth book in the With A Kiss series by Anie Michaels. Ms. Michaels is a new-to-me author, but I was intrigued by the blurb and decided to explore her work. I enjoyed this sweet, quirky and funny contemporary romance. Even though it is the fourth book in a series, it can be read as a standalone as I never felt like I had missed out on anything by not having read the other books first. Having said that though, I will now go back and get the previous books, so I can discover more about the other characters and their stories, that make up this series so far. Rose Finch lives a well organised, predictable and structured life with a strict routine where everything is scheduled down to the smallest detail. She’s the checklist queen, who has a successful business and a ten-year life plan. She doesn’t take risks, do surprises, or spontaneity as she wants to be prepared for everything. Her social life is pretty non-existent, and she doesn’t have many friends- putting much of her focus and energy into her business. Until he comes on the scene. Aiden Daniels brings a little chaos, passion and fun into her life- something she really wasn’t used to. He wasn’t in her schedule, or on any of her lists- which both scared and excited her. Will Rose relax her structured existence and allow Aiden behind her defences? Can Aiden prove that he’s well worth taking a risk for? The characters really make this story. They are quirky, with their own distinct personalities. They were realistic and entirely believable. There were also some lessons to be learned from the story too- such as sometimes we need to step outside our comfort zones to be able to fully embrace everything that life has to offer. Lists, schedules and planning aren’t everything. The story has a great pace and was a quick and easy read.
Coming Up Roses by Anie Michaels is the fourth book in her With a Kiss series, and it was a fantastic weekend read! Following the story of Rose and Aiden, and what a ride this story was. Rose is a woman who loves to make lists and have order in her life. This way of thinking has gotten her far in her business as an event planner but has made her a bit of a workaholic. Until she meets Aiden, who was the opposite of everything that she thought she had wanted. Aiden is a blue collared working man with dirt under his nails, but his work rough hands feel right when he is holding her. The electricity between these two jumped off the page for me, making this such a fun read. The back and forth play, spontaneous sexy time, and over the top excitement made this story so entertaining to fall into. Both Aiden and Rose's characters were incredibly well written, the storyline was easy to read, and pulled me in from the very beginning. Michaels is a new to me author, but she is definitely on my radar now. A notice, while this story is a part of the With A Kiss series, each story is made to be able to be read on its own. While each character can be find in the other books of this series, their own stories are featured solely in their own book. Having finished this book, I bought all of the other books in this series, can't wait to dive in to some great romance reading.
