I enjoyed this book especially when Rex came on the scene. Rex & Serene seemed more compatible. Good build up of characters and drama filled storyline.

This is my first read by this author, but not my last. Held my attention from beginning to end and what a ending. It was very well written and flowed so smoothly, that I had finished it and wanted so much more. So full of action, drama, lies, secrets, jealousy and betrayal. Throw in the suspense made this a great read. Chuck really loved Serene and knew what was coming after his death and he keep her safe. But he also wanted her to live, love and be happy. Now Serene needs to let that wall all the way down and love again. So love Chey and so glad she gave Serene a chance and saw something within her. A real Queen and we definitely need more woman like Chey. So many questions who survived the fire, who's that woman with Rex?? So can't wait for PT.2 to see what happens next. Job well done C Monet.

WOW. this is a must read. it will have you in your feelings all the way through it. Make you want to fight yourself for the dumb decisions you make in your life. It is so interesting how the love in this book flows. Chuck really loved Serene even though his heart was in the streets. In the midst of his work he knew his time would come and he wanted to make sure Serene was taken care of. Even as her days got longer with everything being thrown at her, couldn't believe that one of her best friends would betray her. Reading through the book has me imagining a drama filled, romantic, spoil the day type of movie. I was so stuck at the end of wanting to know who was at the door? Could it have been Corik? Was is one of them that escaped the explosion? Cannot wait for the second part.

The perfect imperfection
Whew. This was full of the right amount of chaos. There was a few times I was confused on dates and times (grammatical errors and story flow) but it didn’t take away from the full effect of the story. I loved that even from the grave Chuck is that dude. The way he protected Serene by preparing her for danger before hand was everything! Corik is a sorry excuse and that’s all I have to say. I love Chey for being a supportive big sis. For taking Serene under her wing and giving her guidance and pushing her to her fullest potential. Rex is a so loving and charming. I hope by the time Serene realized it, it wasnt too late. She deserves so calm after so many storms. Now on to book two...great read.

Wow
Okay first of all this book was so good! And second, Serene tore my nerves completely up, i really disliked her bullheaded stubbornness. She was so d*mn hard headed. Here she had someone willing to be everything she needed since her husband passed but she acting too stupid to see what was right in front of her. Im glad that she met Cheyanne though because she got her back on track as far as life goes. This book was well written and a great read so I suggest u read it if u haven’t done so already. Now on to part 2!

What an ending
Congratulations C. Monet on your 3rd release. This book was amazing. I really enjoyed reading Serene's story. I loved the cameos of Chey and Delaney. Although Serene has been through so much hurt I'm rooting for her to finally get the happiness and love she deserves from Rex. But will they be able to get that happiness after it seems Rex has moved on. Can't wait for Part 2.

Chaos and drama oh my
Serene chaos, very appropriate description for this main character. I know we all have alter personalities to some degree and we all have vices too. Serene was going through alot. And this book shows us how we sometimes inadvertently carry baggage from our past and also how the expectations of others can stifle you. Even though Serene worked my last nerve a few times I enjoyed the book and have already started on part 2.

Peace at war
C.Monet has broken into the pen game and doing it well! This series has so much truth of what love is and all the things we go through to attain it. Serene means calm or peace but her chaotic life and relationships won't let her be! I can't wait for Part 2 because the way this cliff hanger came I'm praying she don't catch a body or two!

Another Good one
I really loved this third book to this series, I hope that everything go all right will Serene and Rex, they been have a hard time getting together. I hope book four bring good things for the couple. I can't wait to read book four, If you haven't read the series go ahead in read it now.

Great Read!

Use of the N word in all its various forms is a major turn off for me - i don't care if you spell it ending in N----ga or N----ger.

Ain’t no way you ended this book like that!!! I loved it from start to finish!!! I’m so ready for book 2 already because I have to many questions! How did Rex take the news?? Who was that woman?? Who survived?? Does Serene ever get that wall all the way down!

Different
I actually like this story of Rex and Serene. I've read this author before and have enjoyed her work. There were a few inconsistencies with the storyline and errors that I couldn't really get past. A lot of repitition, But overall it was a decent read.

Worth the wait!
Great read but I expected that from C. Monet. I read this story in 1 day. It was interesting from the beginning to the end. Three chapters in I had an attitude with the majority of the characters. Lol. I can not wait to see what's up next. Great job!
