Summer Sisters #5

My Kinda Player

Rate this book
AJ Summer witnessed four of her sisters fall in love and settle down. But not her. She’s stuck in a rut, destined to spend the rest of her life watching from the dugout, kissing frogs. Then one night, she meets a mysterious stranger, who makes her feel alive and realize she’s not as broken as she thought–until she wakes up alone.

Sawyer Randall lost everything in a split-second when a game-winning play resulted in a career-ending injury. Looking for a fresh start, he settles into the cozy beach town of Jupiter Bay. A chance meeting with a gorgeous woman leaves him restless and anxious for something he swore he’d never want again–love.

But sometimes Prince Charming isn’t who he seems. What happens when circumstances are misleading? Will their love be strong enough to see them through unscathed? Or will AJ be played by the player?

*Though part of a series, this book can be read as a standalone. It is intended for those 18 and over due to graphic language, descriptive sex, and the world’s most inappropriate grandparents.

Avid reader, writer, mother, and wife! I love to read contemporary romance. Add in a little "spice" or hot guys in uniform pants, and I'm a happy woman. There's just something about diving into a book and engrossing in the magic of your hero and heroine getting their happily ever after.

I was going to write a long detailed review but I'm lazy at the moment.
I'll give you a short version.

I'm so disappointed in this one. I was really expecting better.

~OW/Ex wife drama that causes problems for them. Hero believed what his ex told him about the heroine, I'm so done with this. It's not even funny. Why do authors have to always come to this? Why is it difficult to change tropes?
She drugged him and put him in bed naked and before you ask.. Sigh, yes the heroine comes to his house the exact same moment he wakes up with his ex in bed and yep she was also naked.
And there's no charges pressed against her either. 🙄

~Why is it that every time a woman dresses sexy or wants sex with a man "she's easy"? I'm so done with this too.

~This time around the grandparents annoyed the crap out of me.

~Why is it the ex wife and heroine have to be catty against each other?

Anyway so disappointed that I didn't even want to keep talking about it and also I didn't want to finish the last 50 pages or so.

Lacey Black is a newish author to me (this is the second book of hers that I read) and she definitely has a HUGE fan in me. AJ and Sawyer are great together, you can feel the chemistry when these two are together. But what I enjoyed even more is the way the entire family is, they not only look out for one another they are there for anything and everything you need. AJ's grandparents are a hoot, and they remind me of my Aunt and Uncle so much it's scary.....I think everyone needs a couple like them in their life, it will keep things interesting that's for sure!

An ok reading. I'm looking forward to the last sister's story.

“Holy shit,” AJ says, drawing my attention to her face. She’s staring wide-eyed at my living room, her mouth hanging open.
My living room is trashed. Like a tornado swept through my house, tearing apart my belongings and discarding them haphazardly.
It looks like I’ve been robbed or survived some sort of natural disaster. Tornado AJ. Hurricane Ali. That thought makes me smile.

“It’s not your past that bothers me, Sawyer, it’s the fact that you didn’t come to me when she told you those things. The fact that you chose to let her words affect you, without allowing me to explain, hurts as much as your silence.”

My Kinda Player was an entertaining read. While I'm still not 100% sure I buy into the whole MLB player-turned-middle school gym teacher aspect of it, there was a lot to like about this book.

For example:

-The Summer sisters. The relationship between the six sisters is a whole lot of fun, and when you throw in their significant others...? Watch. Out. (Though really, if I never read the words "road head" again I'll be just fine. Perhaps this is because I only have a brother?) If you've read any (or all) of the other series books, though, you'll most likely love this one too.

-The most NSFW grandparents ever. Though I'm super glad they're not my grandparents, they are so fun to read about. Plus, can I just say how nice it is to have a horny grandma-type character who actually has a grandpa counterpart for a change? Makes it all way less creepy (again, be glad they're not your grandparents. I cannot stress this enough. Much safer this way for everyone).

-Teacher hero and heroine! Who at least acknowledge some of the work involved in the job, though I'm fine with not really seeing it too much (it's boring, by and large, but definitely exists and definitely is a big part of your life for 5/6 of each and every year of your life). And OMG, I hear you, AJ, when you're talking about a teacher's summer vacation. So, so true. Sigh.

-Super cute ending. It absolutely made up for some less-than bits that came before.

That said, there were some parts that had me considering a slightly lower grade for this one.

The first relationship dark moment in the book (just past 50% or so, so you knew it wasn't going to be the big one) was pretty OTT and could have been resolved with a simple conversation right away instead of the freakout that ensued. The second (the big one) was a bit better, but neither was a strong point in the plot. Up to that point, things were going crazy well for AJ and Sawyer, which also felt OTT in its own way...maybe a few more small relationship bumps along the way would have given the overall story a more realistic feel? I freely admit this could just be me. Again, readers of this series will probably love this book too and not at all agree with me on this point, which I'm fine with.

And finally, the sacrilegious admission--I honestly started skimming the sex scenes after the first one (okay, halfway through the first one) because they just didn't work for me. At all. Again, I'm sure this is just me. Outside of the bedroom/living room/kitchen/bathroom/etc. intimate moments I loved them together, so skipping those other bits wasn't a real hardship at all.

My first book by Ms. Black, but probably not my last--I'm especially interested to see where she's going to go with Meghan's book...

5 SMOOCHES!

I've been a fan of Lacey Black's since the release of her debut novel, Trust Me, when I fell in love with the small town of Rivers Edge and the Stevens clan. Small town romances, and especially ones centered around a big family with lots of siblings finding their happily ever afters, are among my favorite romances to read. Without hesitation, it's Lacey Black who always comes to mind first when that’s what I’m looking to read. The unique way she captures life in a small town, coupled with a big family and some sweet, sexy love stories, leap to life on the page for a truly special reading experience.

Set in the small, beach town of Jupiter Bay, My Kinda Player is the fifth book in the series, and it focuses on the middle Summer sister, AJ, and new resident, former pro baseball player, Sawyer. AJ is a middle school math teacher, and Sawyer has just relocated to Jupiter Bay for a fresh start. Unbeknownst to AJ, that fresh start includes a job as the middle school PE teacher and baseball coach. This couple has off-the-charts chemistry, but they’ve also both been burned by previous relationships. That underlying attraction was a powerful thing, though, and they were both falling pretty hard and fast—until Sawyer’s viper of an ex, also a Victoria’s Secret model, blows into town to execute her own Fatal Attraction-inspired reconciliation. A steady dose of the hilariously inappropriate grandparents’ antics along with plenty of interaction from AJ’s big, boisterous family, along with a Rivers Edge series crossover in the form of Sawyer’s cousin, Maddox, makes My Kinda Player another solid winner from Lacey Black in a series full of them.

My Kinda Player was such a fun and sexy love story. I devoured it, my heart happy and a smile on my face, the whole way through. I enjoyed every minute of this charming, amusing and steamy romance, and I can’t wait to return to Jupiter Bay for the next Summer sisters' book. Five smooches from me for Lacey Black’s My Kinda Player!

This author is getting better and better!!!!

Omg!!! I love this series so hard snd this family is one of my favorites!

This time we have AJ and omg what a hot player she grabbed. I loved this book because it was everything that I was waiting and more.

I do wanted to kill Sawyer at some point ( specially when he was a dumb guy) but he do be his redemption in a beautiful way. Just to kill my heart again and melt my soul.

AJ was one of the feisty people of these sisters, I love to read her being a teacher( my profession) and see her relationship with her sister.

The past of Sawyer came to her and she handled like a pro. I love her and definitely she deserved her HEA

Sawyer was sexy, so alpha and perfect for a Summer girl.

I loved this book so much and I can’t wait to read the last book that I know it will broke my heart

Each Summer Sister novel gets more exciting, funny and dives a bit deeper than the previous. My Kinda Player is AJ's story with the new guy in town, Sawyer.

My Kinda Player was a sexy, quick read. Book 5 in a series about a set of sisters, long time readers will love the updates to the previous couples in the series, and giggle over Grandma and Grandpa. It can be read as a standalone, or introduction to the series. AJ Summer, Alison, has been unlucky in love. She's been burned in the past, but so has Sawyer. Famous for being a professional Baseball player, he has had his life played out in the tabloids. The two are each a bit broken when they find each other and learn to grow and trust when they are together. They click instantly and burn up the pages when they are together.

Overall, I loved My Kinda Player. It was a quick read, and packed a punch. I love Lacey Black's writing style, My Kinda Player fits perfectly to what I've come to expect from her, sexy heroes, strong heroines and an addictive storyline you don't want to stop reading. With one sister's story left to tell, I'm absolutely dying to see Meghan Summer get her happily ever after.

My Kinda Player was so good! Another fantastic story involving the Summer sisters by Lacey Black. AJ and Sawyer’s story is sweet and right from the start you know they are destined to be together. This story has twists in it that throw a wrench in their relationship. If you love the Summer sisters, this is another must read!

first thing first I love the summer sisters and their family. I think each book I read just gets better and better but at the same time I hate to see that it's getting closer to the end.

anyways I have to give it to Lacey black she made this book incredibly amazing. The sparks and bantering between Alison and Sawyer had me laughing and fanning my face.

Alison is a middle school math teacher. she beautiful, smart, and has a smart ass mouth to accompany her attitude. She's been burned in the past by her ex. so she's a bit jaded in the trusting department. only Alison never thought she would find love but when it happens there's no way to fight the chemistry.

Sawyer is a famous former MLB player. unfortunately he was Hit with a injury that he had to leave the Major Leagues early. he became a PE teacher at a middle school. he was ready for a change especially after the injury on his cheating ex-wife.

New career and new town that's what's Sawyer thought he was getting only he didn't know he was getting so much more than that. enjoy the ride and heads up there's going to be some bumps ahead for these two.

God i love these characters so much. especially Alison's grandparents those two hoots will have you laughing so hard. overall I love the book and I recommend it to anyone and everyone. 5 stars!

5+ Stars for My Kinda Player!!!

What can I say about this book, My Kinda Player Book 5 in the Summer Sisters series, by Lacey Black? It's a SMEXY, SWOONY, at times ANGSTY and UTTERLY ADDICTIVE read that, once you start you will not be able to put down! Lacey has such a way of drawing you in, making you feel like you're part of the story...wishing you WERE a member of this crazy, loving, HILARIOUSLY FUNNY family (ESPECIALLY Orval and Emma-the world's MOST inappropriate grandparents!!!) Every book in this series builds on the story before, adding to the overall AWESOMENESS that is this series!!!

AJ and Sawyer's unforgettable love story is FILLED with everything I LOVE about Lacey's books; Chemistry out the wazoo-✔️ Laugh-out-loud funny moments (LOTS of them ***see previously mentioned grandparents***)-✔️ Heart-stopping angst-✔️ SEXY, HAWT-AS-ALL-GET-OUT STEAM-✔️ and a satisfying, SWOONY HEA-✔️

All in all, this book is another MUST READ in my very long list of must reads from Lacey Black....I HIGHLY recommend you read it! You will NOT be disappointed!

Sawyer Randall is taking a second chance at life. After losing his career as a pro in the major leagues after an injury, he’s decided to put his teaching degree to use. When in town for an interview, he has a chance encounter with a woman that leaves him wanting so much more, but he never even caught her full name and has no way to find her . . . that is until he walk in to his first faculty meeting and discovers she is in the chair next to his!

AJ Summer has watched four of her sisters settle into their happy ever afters. Settling down doesn’t seem to be for her though. She’s in a rut and her dating prospects in her hometown of Jupiter Bay are slim. That is until her chance encounter from an almost summer fling walks into Jupiter Bay Jr. High as the new gym teacher. Sawyer Randall has all the females in the school, both old and young hot and bothered, and AJ is no exception.

Sawyer knows what he wants and makes one heck of a play to get it. But, both AJ and Sawyer have pasts that when brought to light may pull them apart forever. What happens when someone’s past actions seem to go against everything you believe in and present circumstances are manipulated and misleading? Someone is getting played and it’s going to take a whole lot of trust to determine if their love is truly enough to give Sawyer and AJ the chance at a future they both deserve.

My Kinda Player . . . what can I say other than it is simply fabulous! Sawyer Randall is truly a book boyfriend made by the gods. He’s smart, funny, loyal, gorgeous, and he brings his woman a caramel latte and breakfast treat every morning just to see her smile before their school day begins. He’s been hurt in the past, but is truly willing to go all in with AJ if she’ll give him a chance to.

AJ Summer carries some relationship baggage with her, but has found a way to open her heart to Sawyer. It helps that he seems to fit in well with all of her sisters significant others and can handle her always inappropriate grandparents. She’s loving and loyal and everything that Sawyer wants now that he has been given a second chance to do a relationship the right way.

I loved this couple. They were fun and flirty. Their banter was witty and their alone time sexy and steamy as can be. My heart hurt when their pasts started interfering with their chance at a future and I happily admit I cheered for them to find a way to their own happy ever after.

Fans of the series will also enjoy catching up with the other sisters and their lives as well as Emma and Orval, the world’s most sexually inappropriate grandparents. Lacey Black truly hit a home run with My Kinda Player - 5 stars!

My Kinda Player is the fifth title in the Summer Sisters series, each book is an interconnected standalone. If you haven't read the previous books, then you will enjoy AJ and Sawyer's story, but there is a spoiler from My Kinda Mess so I would advise that you at least read Lexi and Linkin's story.

AJ and Sawyer's story is an engaging and entertaining story full of heat, heart and above all humor.

Life is in upheaval for Sawyer, he's a new comer to town, and on the verge of starting a new career. Having been burned in a relationship he's not looking to start a relationship, until AJ steps onto the field. Sawyer is determined, sweet, and smart and has a heart of gold.

AJ is a math teacher, she loves her role molding young minds, but loves to socialise and play just as hard. She's loyal, loving, fun, sweet and sassy and after being burned, she's distrustful of men in general and not looking to become any part of a duo.

The chemistry and connection AJ and Sawyer share is undeniable and intense. This pair complement each other perfectly. Their banter is fun, flirty and witty.

As with the previous titles in this series Emma and Orval's banter, shenanigans and antics are completely inappropriate, but will leave you smiling, snickering and laughing out loud.

I love how Lacey's stories are interconnected, and having the stories of the previous Summer Sisters stories evolve and grow with each additional title. There is even a cameo from a favourite character form the River's Edge series.

I will be eagerly anticipating the final Summers Sisters story.

One word and then I’m done – Sawyer fricking Randall. That's it...I’ve got nothing more: P

OK OK I do got something more: I’d never thought I’d say this but he just might be my favorite out of the men in this series (sorry Linkin – I still love you :*).

I’m not sure what I loved best about this story. I loved that even thought they been hurt before they are not closed off to the possibility of finding and falling for “The One”. I loved his »small« gifts to her – it was soooo romantic. I loved the vixen side to AJ.

And let’s talk about their chemistry; can we all say smoking hot!?! I think I’ve burned my fingers during »hurricane Ali«:). And we can not talk about this series without mentioning the crazy grandparents. Those two crack me up with their advices. I was laughing so much when Linkin threaten them to take away their pills and key to their playroom I fell off the couch.

With each book that Lacey Black puts out I fell more and more in love with this clan. I’m soooo ready to read Megan’s story. With everything that has happed to her she need to find someone who will rock her world and give her the HEA she deserves.

This is my first book by Lacey Black and I absolutely Loved it! My Kinda Player is the fifth book in the Summer Sister series. This is AJ's Story and let me just say damn, It was Sexy and Sweet! AJ doesn't have the best of luck when it comes to men. When her almost fling comes back to town and turns her world upside things get entertaining and heated! Sawyer has just moved to Jupiter Bay for a fresh start but he doesn't expect AJ! This was such beautiful story of two people learning how to trust and taking a chance at love. I also haven't laughed this hard in a long time! I freaking love the Summer sisters and their crazy ass grandparents! You can't help but feel so connected to these characters! This is a feel good book packed with Heat, Humor, Dirty innuendos, and so much sweetness you will have a toothache! I haven't read the other books in this series, but each book can be read as a stand alone. Even though each book can be read as a stand alone this book was so great I can't wait to read the other four! You don't want to miss out on this book! I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I have read every dang book in the sister series, and every dang one of them is amazing. I also might add, that every book gets better and better! All though these books can be read as standalones, as they are all connected. Which is one of the best parts of this series, the characters from previous books keep making reappearances. As I have previously stated, I am a complete Lacey stalker because I mean let's face it, not many authors can write about completely inappropriate grandparents and siblings, all the while building a love story between the world's hottest swoon-worthy men, and the most kind hearted, down to earth women ever. Her writing style is completely off the charts and she always leaves you wanting more of what ever her brain conjures, because she just has that way of making you feels so many emotions, including laughing until tears are running down your face. I have enjoyed every single Summer Sister's book. My Kinda Player included. A.J. and Sawyers story is smoking hot.

A.J. is the hazel eyed goddess that teaches math in junior high. She also helps with the cheer team at her school as well. She spends most of her time out of school, spending time with her siblings. She loves her students but also loves summer time so she can soak up the sun. She has watched 4 out of 5 of her sisters fall in love and get their HEA, and feels like as if that is not in the cards for her.

Sawyer, good God the blue eyed Adonis would get it, and I mean literally and figuratively. He just has this vibe about him, that gives me goosies. After a career ending injury, he is trying to find his balance in this world again. Moving to a new town is just the right thing for him, or so he thinks.

For the first time in her adult life, A.J. feels more alive than she ever has, that is until she wakes up to an empty bed. A chance meeting changes things for A.J. and Sawyer. But what happens when circumstances change, and things are different than they seem? Can A.J. and Sawyer come through unscathed?

I FLOVED THIS STORY SO HARD!!! And every time I read a Lacey Black book, it leaves me in the worst book hangover ever. So thanks for that Lacey!!

Lacey you’ve hit it out of the park again with this one!
I received an ARC of this book and I could not put it down!
AJ is one of the quiet sisters but has a wild side to her. I’ve loved her through all the other books and couldn’t wait to finally read her story. She’s fun, sassy, and has a heart of of gold.
Sawyer is a hot hunky retired MLB player starting all over in a new city, and was amazing to read about, considering what he had to deal with being a famous person even if he wasn’t in the lime light anymore.
The chemistry between these two was literally bouncing off the pages and kept me flipping through until I finished.
I love how tightly the whole group is in this book as well as the rest, and seeing how the boys were with Sawyer.
As per the usual the Grandparents has me laughing out loud at their shenanigans and how they deal with life in general.
Lacey, this book was absolutely amazing and I cannot wait to see what comes next for Meghan!

What the heck can I say? I love these books and I love the Summer sisters and family. I fall more and more each time I read one and I can honestly say I’m not ready for them to be over!!!

Sawyer, hello delicious man with a heart of gold. First of all I’m a sports girl so the fact that we have baseball in this book too, it just makes it even better!!! But more then that is Sawyer is the perfect man. Basically just like Ryan, Dean, Levi, and Linkin. Perfection! But most of all Perfection for our girl AJ!

AJ, I love this girl. She’s sweet and sassy and oh so just omg!! What I really love the most about her is the way she’s so in tune with everyone’s feelings around her. Whether that’s Sawyer and the way he felt at the baseball or game or Meghan and her feelings. She’s the sister that is always there for everyone else. And I love it. She’s a perfect compliment to Sawyer. They’re sexy and sassy but sweet and true. I just can’t rave enough about them!!! I couldn’t put this book down!!

And of course we had the shenanigans of Grandma and Grandpa and got a look in to each of the girls lives. Plus a couple other surprises you’ll love to see! I devour the Summer sisters and I light up knowing when one is releasing. It’s going to truly break my heart when they are done. But I’ll love this family forever! They’ve cemented their way into my heart, that’s for sure!!

Lacey Black has done it again and knocked this one out of the park. AJ and Sawyer’s relationship sizzles in true Black fashion. I loved getting the back story of how these true originally met, and I enjoyed watching them come together as a couple.

There are so many funny parts, that don’t even include the grandparents, but I’m happy to report these two don’t disappoint in this novel.

Black does a great job writing the “player” aspect, both on and off the field. Sawyer is definitely swoon-worthy!

One of my favorite parts of this series is catching up with the other sisters. I truly feel as if I’m a part of the Jupiter Bay community as well as the Summer family. I anxiously await the next (and last) book of the series.

First off - I love Lacey Black. The girl can do no wrong! She always sucks me into her books and I fly through them. I get addicted to her series and the families she shares with us. Her books are my crack. She is my drug dealer! Ha!

Sawyer and AJ are swoon worthy. Sawyer is a former professional baseball player and AJ is a math teacher. Their one-nigh-stand/chance encounter leads to a drama filled happily ever after. Sawyer is sweet, charming and knows how to talk to a lady. AJ is fiery and a girl after my own heart. I felt like I related a lot to AJ's character and she worked her way into my heart.

There was a lot of drama in their short relationship, which frankly annoyed me. I could of done without the crazy ex-bimbo, but I am also one of those suckers for the happy ever afters that are drama free. But in the end I was happy and in awe of this family once more.

I love reading Lacey's books because I get to see all my favorite past characters. We even got to peak in on some characters from her River's Edge series. I enjoy being a part of these character's lives and the constant updates about where they are now. Lacey just knows how to make my little ol' heart happy!

If you have no picked up one of Lacey's book series yet, do so now. I promise you, you will never regret it! And when you are 4 books into a series, you'll come back and thank me!

Lacey freaking Black has done it AGAIN! My kinda player is everything I never knew I needed. I’m not sure how each book in this series is better than the last, but Lacey has such a beautiful way with her words! I love all her words!! I’ve never laughed out loud to the point of tears like I do with EVERY. BOOK. IN. THIS. SERIES. Emma and Orval? My favorite people to ever be written. AJ and Sawyer are perfect, so freaking perfect, I couldn’t help but devour this book with a smile on my face. Lacey, girl. You’re brilliant. I love even more so that I live in Virginia and pretty much live at Nationals Park come baseball season AND my name is Brandy, and the Brandy in this book is my spirit animal, so to see this in a book (completely coincidental) I couldn’t help but preen! This book is deserving of all the stars because it packs an emotional punch, gives us a hell of a laugh and the romance is unbelievable. Lacey, another perfect book to this perfect series. Although, I’ve told you this before that if I keep crying over Meghan I’m not too sure I’ll ever forgive you. You make me so happy and then make me so sad. Why do you love my tears!?.

This series by Lacey can never end!!!
Follow middle sister AJ, watching her siblings find their true love is hard for her, but what they don't realize is she found a guy she wanted, unfortunately their night together was..well not the way she planned! She'd love a second chance but she hasn't seen him again, the magic they had was unforgettable!
Sawyer hasn't forgotten the woman he tried to take back to his hotel room! She was just what he needed as his pro ball career came crashing down on him. A new fresh start in a new town with a new job is just what he needs, and on his first day at his new job, he runs right into AJ!
Follow their story, and throw in her crazy grandparents and Lacey will once again take you on a great journey! This is book 5, and each one get's better and better!! 5+++++++ stars and grab it asap!!!

I have so many emotions swirling around, I loved this book, Lacey is amazing, I was sad that it ended. My kinda Player is book 5 in the Summer Sisters Series and is the story of AJ and Sawyer. Once again Lacey makes you feel so much, it makes you laugh...besides the grandparents Lol the banter between everyone is hilarious!! AJ is a middle school math teacher and Sawyer is a former major league baseball player who had a career ending injury. They meet one night in a bar and there has been quite a bit of drinking done by AJ, there is instant chemistry between them, but things don't quite go as planned. Fast forward one month and it's the first day of school and AJ and her other co-workers are being introduced to a couple of new teachers that had been hired during the summer break. One of those is the new PE/baseball coach...yep, Sawyer!!! This book is one of my favorites in the series. Lacey's talent just blows me away with each book she comes out with, she packs so much into each and every story she writes. I am absolutely without a doubt recommending this book, hell the whole series!! It's awesome, you will love it!!

Lacey Black delivers yet another witty and laugh out loud romantic comedy in the latest instalment of the Summer Sisters series!

My Kinda Player is AJ's story and I love that AJ gets to be with the semi-famous baseball player who has recently just become the new PE teacher at her junior high school.

The sisters, as always, make this story so funny and who can forget the grandparents?! Those two absolutely take the cake when it comes to inappropriate comments at just the right time.

I cannot get enough of this series and Lacey's writing just keeps getting better and better. I have a feeling the next book in this series is going to rip my heart out (but I just can't wait)!

I love this series. Have I ever mentioned that?! AJ and Sawyer are perfect. I love how Lacey has picked all different men for these girls but all just so perfect. I can not wait to see how things end for poor Meghan.

This is my favorite Summer sisters book to date. I know I say that with each book but each book just gets better and better. I really try to savor each book but once I get pulled in, it’s hard to put the book down. AJ and Sawyer just had this pull about them. A pull that draws you in slowly and keeps you wanting more. From the small little things Sawyer would do to feeling you were right there with him in how he felt about AJ. AJ and Sawyer were just perfect together. Any Summer Sister book would never be complete without Grandma and Grandpa. And can I say for them they were at their best yet. This book takes you on a ride of emotions. Smiles, laughter, the heart tugs, to feeling your heart hurt. This book had it all.

I am looking forward to Megan’s book. I have a feeling her book is gonna gut me.

PURE MAGIC! LOVE EVERY SINGLE WORD! Absolutely love this series!! Has me begging for more! Another 10 star read for me. Anything that Lacey Black writes is pure gold!
In Breezy Juniper bay the Summer Sisters will show you how love can sneak up on you even when your not even looking for it. The Sisters show you also an incredible family bond even if your eighty year old horny in love grandparents love to stir things up a bit but can't help but love them!
AJ the middle sister school teacher by day party girl by night. Been hurt too many times kissing too many frogs trying to find her prince but has gave up hope til she sees piercing sexy blue eyes......
Sawyer just wants and needs a clean start and finds himself in Juniper Bay for his fresh start. Until a fateful night he spots the most gorgeous emerald eyes....
Can they both learn to trust each other or will Sawyers past comes sneaking up....
Most definitely loving me some hot baseball player right now. And I'm eager to know Meghan's story as well!

Amazing, A Page Turner. One of the Best.

Lacey Black has done it again. My Kinda Player is my favorite. This series gets better and better with every book.
AJ Summer and Sawyer Randall have so much chemistry it jumps off the page. A hook up a month ago didn't go as planned. He took care of her when she puked on his shoes. A month later the two come face to face when ex baseball player Sawyer Randall moves to Juniper Bay because of an injury that got him released from his team and his contract to end. Now working as a PR teacher and coach at the same Middle School AJ teaches at, Sawyer must be on his best game to get the winning homerun with the sassy AJ Summer. When she can't stop thinking about him and she can't stop thinking about her, there is only one thing left to do...
Throw in some Crazy sex crazed grandparent, a family who has your back, and and ex that will stop at nothing to ruin Sawyers relationship with Aj.
This book has it all. Romance, comedy, heart break , and so much sexual chemistry it's dripping off the pages.

Sexy Sawyer.....that player stole my heart. And A.J....you never stood a chance!
It feel like with every Summer Sisters book, I fall more in love with this huge family. We've watched four sisters find love and now that the end is almost near I'm not ready to say goodbye. But first AJ and Sawyer's book. I loved their story, filled with crazy chemistry, white hot passion and a love that couldn't be denied. I'm a huge sports fan so this was perfect for me. And of course Grandma and Grandpa....it wouldn't be a Summer Sisters book without them! Their shenanigans and hilarious one liners make me love them so dang much! And now we wait for Meghan, which I have a feeling is going to require alot of tissues!
