This sweet and poignant goodbye is the perfect ending to the Horrible Harry series which began 30 years and 36 books ago. Always on point with second and third graders, readers will reminisce over past adventures and mourn with Doug as his best friend moves away. Parents who remember this series from their own childhoods will want to start at the beginning and share the whole adventure with their children. Thank you, Suzy Kline, for bringing us these tales of school and friendship. Highly recommended for fans of the series, grades 1 & up.

I really enjoyed this light story about friends that are leaving and won't see each other again. That was really hard on me as a youngster, in fact not that much easier now. This book is only 43 minutes long, but it is quite cute and I was appreciative of the friends and the cute teacher.

I know that after 30 years and almost 40 books this series has been well-recognized, but I'll still miss Harry and all of his classmates. I'm glad I went back and re-read the full series as an adult.
