L.L. Ash is a Washington-born writer who has traveled and lived across the western coast of the US. She lives in Utah with her husband and 3 kids, all of which are a handful!
Ash has been writing fiction since she was 11 years old, and finished her first full-length romance novella at 12. While her writing has improved since then, her love for literature has not changed. Oftentimes you can find Ash reading an indie romance or enjoying a historical fiction. She has been an artist for decades but found her true love and passion in romances.
But Ash is not content to write a romance with untried characters or predictable ‘happily ever afters’. Ash strives to create honest stories revolving around struggling heroins and bruised heroes, both trying to find happiness and acceptance, just like we in real life do. She writes about real struggles and real hardships, often giving the characters a tarnished facade. But through the constant loving and hating of the characters, you will fall in love with them as they grow and change and evolve through the stories.
As Ash always says, it’s all about real romance for real life.
I have to tell you this book is really freaking long. So much happens that this one book could have been its own trilogy. It starts in highschool where a girl meets a boy and he’s a vampire. She finds out right away what he is. They fall for eachother more him than her. The girls Mother is dying so she gets sent away to live with her dad. Kinda sounds like the twilight book. Because people don’t really talk to Clarence. He and his brother keep to themselves. Sounded familiar BUT she has special blood they find out that she is impervious to vampire persuasion. He’s able to be human for a few days thanks to her blood. But she gets called home when her mother is dying. She gets angry at Clarence for not turning the mother so she breaks up with him. She meets another guy and soon gets hit by a werewolf and she starts banging the hell out of him. Which I gotta tell you seriously pissed me off. Her blaming him for her mother’s death and then being intimidate all the time with Eddie the leader of the werewolves. Then she turns back to a human finds out someone’s out to kill her for her blood. Then she almost dies and gets turned into a vampire and goes back to Clarence only to turn. Back into a human I mean honestly I was getting pretty pissed off with all that going back and forth. Frankly disappointed that she keeps turning back. So much happens! Idk if I can go to the next book I’ll be taking a break. It normally doesn’t take me 3 nights to finish reading a book And that’s what happened here. If it was shorter it would have been better. Good story
