There were several issues with the poems and stories in this collection, but the good shorts more than made up for it.
Overall, I give this anthology a 2.5 rounded up to 3 stars.
Haunted Tales: Stories from Beyond the Grave is a book filled with short stories, poems, plays, and very, very short stories of horror. Some of the stories are super excellent and some of them, poems mostly in my opinion, were so-so. I really liked and was captivated in a few of them and I hated that the story was over. It is hard to put a rating on a book like this when some are so awesome and some not so much. There are great writers in here like Samie Sands, Kevin S. Hall, Nicholas Boving, etc. I enjoyed most of the book overall. I was given this book for a honest review.
I do like short stories and collections. There are a bunch in here, along with some poems. It also includes authors I’ve enjoyed before and some new ones I’ll be checking out further.
While many of these were really good, some weren’t my cuppa tea. That often happens when there are this many to read in one book. Way to many to review individually, and I don’t want to play favorites. I’ll just say the ones that grabbed me were creeptastic.
Plenty to keep you entertained and the right time of year to enjoy some spooky. I’m glad I read these.
I liked several of these stories. I love anthologies because you are bound to find a few stories you like. My favorite story was easily "For the Love of God."; This story was a sequel to "The Cask of Amontillado" by Poe. A deathbed confession causes the police to investigate a possible fifty year old murder. It was a lot of fun and even felt like a Poe detective story. There were several good stories but this was easily my favorite. A lot of these stories are written in very different styles since it is different authors, some feel like they were written long ago or are modern stories. There are a lot of stories so you are bound to find one you like..

I love books like this, with a range of authors coming together to form a anthology. I loved that there was also some poems included as well. I had not read from any of the authors and some drew my attention more than others. I now am going to be looking more into some of the writers. I was a bit sad about the end of the book and hope for more anthologies like this from these authors will come together.
Excellent short stories that kept me entertained for a few days. I enjoyed most of the stories although I do have a few that I did not like which is unusual for me in these books. But there were enough that I enjoyed most.

This is a good collection of stories and poems from a multitude of talented writers. There is Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Supernatural, Horror. For Samie Sands, Cursed Document I liked that her Character was Benjamin Franklin. The way that he had doubts, fears, and concerns were not a stretch of the imagination. The fact that there were not many concerns until a woman voiced them, well, that's another matter.
