Oliver might have a slightly shady past, but he joined the police force to make the world a better place, how was he supposed to know the whole world was going to go to hell?! Now, with zombies roaming the earth, he has to try and follow orders, whilst sticking to his (ok maybe newly found) morals and stop his old self from coming back.

Oliver’s Story!

And so the apocalypse continues...this time with Oliver’s point of view. Katie, from book two, gets rescued by Oliver, who is a police officer. They, and other survivors hole up in the police station.

This is their story.

Crackdown picks up where Quarantine left off with Oliver getting everyone from the Medial Specialist Facility that was still alive and uninfected out past all the zombies and back to the police station where Oliver worked before the AM13 virus took over the world. Everyone is safe at the police station for the time being.

Katie is having a hard time dealing with what is going on and what she almost did. The teenager from Outbreak is back and doing her part in trying to make the jail cells a nice place to live for everyone at the moment. Rae also spends her days trying to help Katie come back from where ever it is she has gone within herself.

The zombies are still running around outside keeping everyone inside where it is safe. Oliver loses a good friend of his when they are out looking for supplies. Oliver has some issues from his past before the outbreak to deal with. An old friend from Katie’s past makes an appearance on the scene causing poor Oliver some heartache as he is falling deeply for Katie.

Crackdown is the third book in the AM13 Outbreak Series Shorts and like its predecessors, it just gets better and better with time as they say. The world building is just so awesome. There is action from the first page and keeps on rolling out with each flip of the page. As with the other two, I couldn’t flip the pages fast enough. I love the zombie world and the more of the AM13 Outbreak world I read the more I want. I can’t wait to dive into the next AM13 Outbreak Series Shorts story One Year On…..

When it comes to short zombie books this author never disappoints. This is another short read that only takes about an hour but it’s a wonderful read.

Hmmm... have to say, more than a bit "meh" and the voice of the male protagonist far too similar to the earlier two. Probably my least favorite of the three stories.

Edit: Read "One Year Later..." on Wattpad. A very realistic depiction of what people would be like I thought... Liked "Caught" too!
