Tame

Abby Walters fell in love with me when she was a child.

In many ways, she still is one. That sweet, sheltered good girl may look like a walking orgasm, but I know she’s innocent.

Too innocent for me, the renowned British playboy.

It’s ironic, isn’t it, that I’m the one spending my career in philanthropy while she toils away as a barista. The heiress to her own fortune, she’s terrible at this job. It’s all wrong for her.

But then so am I.

So why did I offer to hire her?

Because I want her close to me.

Under my control.

And in my bed.

It’s not like Abby’s going to tame me. Right?

I went into this book already liking everything about it. I like the cover, the blurb is great and grabbed my attention, this authors work has great reviews which I was happy about - it was just all really interesting so when the ARC dropped on my kindle I clicked on it like "I'm making this book my bitch tonight." But the reality was that that didn't happen and as much as I liked a lot about this story before I read it, once I was done I didn't have the same happiness about it.

Let me say though that even with the issues I had with this story I do think it's one that a lot of people will enjoy. It was well written and I felt like you could tell the author didn't cut any corners while writing and she thought everything out. What I enjoyed most was how well the settings were described and it made me feel like I was right there with these characters.

What bothered me most about the story was Michael and his inability to make up his mind. I felt like the majority of the book focused on his hot and cold indecisive ass and after awhile it got to be very very old. One second he's pushing Abby against the wall and giving us hints of all the dirty things he wants to do with her. But then the next he's pushing her away and being rude and cold to her. And this happened over and over...and over again. After the second time it just became boring and too repetitive for my liking. Especially when it was almost all that was focused on between these characters instead of anything that made me feel a connection. I felt like I was stuck in some time loop and reliving the same scene.

Another thing was the lack of information on Michael's family. This book does connect to other books the author has written, which I haven't read, so I'm thinking maybe there was more information in them. What took me back was when Michael mentioned something about his brother in such a blase way and here I was not even knowing he had a brother at that point. It felt more like I was expected to know than as if I was getting this information for the first time.

Then when it came to Abby's family we learned some about them but then that situation didn't feel resolved by the end. And it bothered me that the mother Abby described throughout the book and had issues with was completely different in the epilogue. It was just an odd combination for this semi-secondary character apparently getting a personality change that we never saw or understood. As for the other members of Abby's family, I would have loved to see their demise but sadly it was like they were completely forgotten by the end.

Overall, there was clearly a lot I didn't enjoy about this book but I did like the authors writing and I think the overall plot idea was a good one. I'd definitely give this author another try and I look forward to see what she comes up with next. I would still recommend this book to anyone that likes an Alpha-asshole hero.

Tame is a sizzling, sexy, entertaining and exhilarating read.

Tame is about Michael Sinclair and Abigail Walters. The sizzling, sexual tension between them was off the charts. They both want more but is afraid to say it. Michael thinks that he may not be good enough for Abigail and Abigail thinks that she is not good enough for Michael.

Tame…. How can you Tame the playboy that is Michael Sinclair. I loved this HOT man. He is protective, possessive, philanthropic, caring, sensitive, admired, lusted after, exudes sex. An alpha male in every way. Michael is the full package.

Abigail is trying to figure out what she wants out of life. Is being a socialite for her or is there another purpose. What is that purpose????? I know many people cant relate with Abigail with that; wondering what our full purpose is. One thing that Abigail was sured about was her desire for Michael Sinclair.

I liked and disliked Abigail…. At times she drove me crazy, I wished she would just tell Michael how she felt; for her not to be scared to fully put herself out there. At times she made me scream, at times I admired her strength.

There is a lot of sexual tension, you can feel the heat leaping off the pages. I shouted just do it already!!!!

“You would be my last meal.” 🔥🔥

Tame is well written and grabbed my attention from the beginning to end. The characters are well developed and I love how the story and romance between Abigail and Michael grows.

I wish the book was a little bit longer. I wanted to know how Abigail confronted her mother. I will be reading this book again.

This is a MUST READ… Get ready to enjoy.

Tame by Colet Abedi is an intense, passionate, obsessive romance read that has a slightly taboo feel to it. Tame is a read that is packed full of sexual tension and trust me, you will pick up immediately on that tension. It leaps from the page from pretty much the get-go. Tame is Michael and Abby’s story. Abby has loved Michael ever since he saved her from her step brother when she was 8 years old; Fast forward, now Abby is 23 and having to make her way on her own after barely breaking free from an entanglement. Abby was working at a job she wasn’t qualified for, trying to make it when Michael came back into her life and BAM, that ole obsession she had with him fired right back up. Abby remembered the deep love she had for him and thought it would go nowhere—or would it? Michael offered her a job as his PA and he would train her. Immediately that chemistry sizzled between them. Abby tried to play off that chemistry but what she didn’t know is Michael has been very attracted to Abby for some time. He doesn’t think he can give her love or even commitment. Oh the tangled love story here- they are related when her mother married into the family. Michael wants Abby but doesn’t think he can give her anything more. Abby desperately is in love with Michael and thinks he doesn’t like her. This story has the classic push/pull. I was immediately hooked from page 1 and had to read to find out would Michael and Abby get their HEA. Michael is an alpha, a very dominant alpha who doesn’t want any other man around his woman i.e. Abby. Their story is classic and Abby is so unaware pretty much thru the story of how Michael feels. We get her thoughts, feelings and emotions about how she wants him, needs him, doesn’t want to step over the line and ruin anything between the family etc, etc yet it always comes back to how she just loves him so much. The moment when she realizes that he does have feelings for her…priceless. The moment that she realizes there is still work to be done to g et her HEA…epic. This is one of those stories that stay with you long after the story is over. Michael and Abby are such a great book couple that I felt like I knew them in real life, that’s how hard I was rooting for them. Colet Abedi is a new author to me but I will be going back and reading her backlist plus she is now an auto buy for me. This is definitely a raw expression of true romance.

Well isn't Michael sweet taking time out of his day to show his woman the ropes, "I’ll be training you myself,” he says as he studies me. “That way you’ll know exactly what I want and how I like it.” I have the distinct feeling we’re not talking about the usual job duties of a PA. “I want you to know how to please me,” he continues, his voice almost husky." Michael is a good man he makes sure hia woman is in good health, “because I’m going to eff you all night long,” he says, running a finger down the length of my cheek. “And you’re going to need your strength.” I liked this book, Michael was one dominant man.

Cocktails and Books received this book for free from Social Butterfly PR in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect our opinion of the book or the content of our review.I really enjoyed Michael and Abby together.  The fact that she had a huge crush on him as a young girl and had that blossom into something more was magical.  But the story felt like I was missing something and that took away from truly enjoying this couple.

Michael pursues Abby while pretending he's not.  He's not as unaffected by Abby as he'd like others (even himself) to believe.  It's not until they're away from the prying eyes of London that Michael finally gives into everything, knowing it was going to change everything with Abby.  But what had me at a loss was how easily Michael was willing to give it up.  He proved to be fiercely protective of Abby, but when both of their families threatened what they had, he was the one to hurt her most.  I couldn't understand why he didn't stand up to his brother and more importantly her mother and brother to put an end to the nonsense.  And despite Abby working for him, her gave her lame excuses about the kind of man he was.  They were ridiculous and took away from the essence of their relationship.

I enjoyed parts of this book, I liked Abby and Michael, and I thought it was going to be interesting to watch their story, and their relationship develop. You feel the connection and their attraction, and the sex is hot.

Unfortunately, the story for me sort of went nowhere. I felt I was watching the same scene over and over, just in different locations. In Costa Rica, they had the same conversations as they did in the office, which were sort of the same discussions that they had in the coffee shop and in her apartment. They would get close, Michael would pull away, they would have sex, Michael would pull away.

I get it, and I understood it. But, I felt like it never went anywhere and that there was no story arc or character development.

I do and don't recommend this title, as it was mostly enjoyable, but it didn't have much plot.

Loved this amazing read. In true Colet Abedi fashion...I was sucked into this story from the very first page. I read it in one sitting. Michael and Abby were a pair for the ages. It was a whirlwind romance and I got swept up in it just like Abby did. Michael did deliciously dirty things to Abby. This is a must read if your a fan of Colet's work!

3.5 stars

Tame is an average book. I would have liked it better if we had gotten some of Michael's point of view in the story and not only on the blurb. I wanted to know what he was thinking since he was always acting like one minute he wanted Abby and the next he was pushing her away and he was cold towards her. I don't like this kind of behavior and I wish Abby had a backbone. She should have demanded more for herself and make Michael work for it. She was a pushover. Still, I liked the book and that's why I am giving it a 3.5-star rating. I am not familiar with the author's writing style and I can say that it wasn't bad. If the author decides to write a book about a secondary character from this story I will definitely read it. I will keep an eye on future works by the author. I wanted to see the downfall of Abby's mother and brother. I hated that duo and I wanted to see karma hitting them. The main characters were flawed and that's human and the reason why I am recommending the book. The story's biggest flaw is the characters, but they are not a big reason to make me not recommend the book.

Five tamed stars! What. A. Book!! It has the exact amount of everything!

“You make me forget myself.”

Holy. Lord. Tame by Colet Abedi is a great book, so full of tension, love and passion. The storyline is brilliantly developed. Everything about this book has the exact amount to make it impossibly perfect.

The story told inside the pages of this book is all-consuming, heart-warming and soulful. It is a raw expression of true romance. The characters felt too real. It was a refreshing read, worth of the minutes I spent reading it! Tame is a petite-mort!

The pace is fast and the characters are fierce souls that belong to each other. Michael and Abigail understand each other like no one else but they are afraid to show their true feelings. Their relationship is going to be an intense journey of discovery. A sweet innocent crush from childhood will turn into a hot and forbidden attraction that will lead into a breathtaking love. So strong, that will leave you breathless.

The whole book is told by the heroine's POV and the story is set between two beautiful places: London, one of my favourite cities in the world, and Costa Rica. The author did a brilliant work describing bother places. I felt like I was in both places.

The energy and attraction between Abigail and Michael is exciting, risky and dangerous. Abigail fell in love with Michael since he protected her from her stepbrother. He was her first kiss. He was his saviour. He is the only one who understands her, who protect her because she worth it. She is at some point of her life where she doesn't know what she wants. Her insecurities were fed by her own mother. Michael will be a sinful storm in her life. He will be a forbidden temptation when he became her boss.

“Michael’s a force of nature, and even though he drives me crazy, I realize how much I like just being in his space. His world.”

The desire is too strong to be ignored. Working together will be a hot torture. I enjoy the interaction between them. It was crazy and fun. Both fighting the attraction was a mind-blowing spectacle.

“Protecting you is worth any price I would have to pay.”

Michael is a sinful bachelor. He is a man of many women. He could not be tamed by anyone until Abby. She is different. She made him many things. She tempts him with her beautiful body and kind soul. She is different from any woman he was before. Giving into his desires is not going to be easy. He will do everything to protect Abigail, even to stay away from her.

“I don’t want nice,” I whisper to him. “What do you want?” he demands. “Give me the storm.”

Colet’s writing is extraordinary beautiful and smoothly elegant. This is the first time I read a book of her and it won't be the last because I am already addicted to her books. The intensity of her words made my soul crave more. It was a great pleasure to read Tame and I want to repeat! I devoured each page with big passion I haven't felt in a long time.

I highly recommend you this book because it will literally blow your mind. This book is perfect for those readers who enjoy fierce romances, who love employee-boss-romances and innocent childhood crushes. You will enjoy this book because it is a masterpiece magnificently written.

This was the first time I read one of Colet’s novels, but if you know me at all then you know the white dress shirt on the cover drew me in like a moth to the flame.

Tame is the story of Abby Walters, a woman who met her Prince Charming when she was just eight years old. When sixteen-year-old Michael Sinclair defends Abby from her bully of a step-brother, she is forever haunted by an unrequited love for her knight in shining armor. Years later, when Abby breaks off her engagement from a man she feels pressured to marry, she finds herself on her own for the first time in her life. When Michael seeks her out to offer her a job as his personal assistant, her instincts tell her to run the other way, but she finds herself unable to resist the temptation.

Michael is a successful philanthropist, running his own foundation and sharing his fortune with those who need it more than he does. But even so, he has a reputation as a womanizing playboy and once he sets his sights on pursuing Abby, she must decide whether she will be consumed by his attraction or if she will tame him and make him hers forever.

As a reader, I resisted Michael Sinclair for much of this book. While he is a good man at heart, I found his treatment of Abby baffling for most of the story. It was only when Michael whisked Abby away from their hometown of London for a getaway to his beach home in Costa Rica that he finally began to gain my admiration. Michael’s tropical paradise second home is his favorite place on earth, and when he shared this piece of his heart and soul with Abby, the man she’d always fantasized about was finally revealed.

Tame is the third book in the Mad Love Story series but is easily read as a stand alone novel. The chemistry between Abby and Michael is strong and the unresolved sexual tension between these two is intense. For me, the love story ultimately paid off, but my patience with Michael wavered a time or three along the way. He is a supreme alpha British male, who has no compunctions about pushing his love interest to the edge of heartbreak more than once. If you’re in the mood for a passionate read with a dash of angst, Tame should scratch that particular itch.

Colet Abedi – Tame
(Pure review, no spoilers)
I’ve got mixed feelings with this book. Let’s start with the reasons why I did not give this a five.
The plot is, well, we have all read our fair share of office romances. Naïve girl who does not think she is pretty? Check. Alpha boss slash womanizer? Check. By the end of the book I felt deceived. Deceived because it gave Fifty Shades vibe in the beginning that I was actually waiting for the H to reveal that he is into BDSM because of the numerous times he mentioned “pleasure” with those hints. Seriously; I thought when he said that he does not want to hurt her, that she does not know everything about him, and all those pleasure-related innuendos, I really thought he is going to reveal his playroom. So the ending was a bit of a turn down for me. There was no big revelation or anything; he was just being a typical male with womanizing history.
Also, the cat and mouse chase is fun and sexy when there’s enough banter between the leads. Banters that make me as a reader grin like an idiot while reading them. I am not saying that there is none; what I’m saying is that there are not enough of those banters.
Now why I will not flunk this book?
First, I do appreciate how the author tried to build-up of chemistry. Although I mentioned that there were not enough banters in the book, the tension was described in details. It was a very descriptive book, that though there are times that I dislike the h’s POV, I can feel what she is feeling with the H.
The male lead can also be charming at times. Like I mentioned, he gave a Christian Grey vibe, though in the end it was not what was happening. (Imagine the budding O that did not came, lol) I was not very satisfied, but he has moments – mysterious boss who keeps on hinting and never seem to be out of innuendos.
Overall, it was good. Not that great, but it was not bad either. I think the most accurate description I can say is that it lead me to believe that there was a big thing in the end but there wasn’t, so it was disappointing, but since I enjoyed the ride, I’m going to give it a 3.5 to 4 stars.

----> "Abigail Mary Walters. Once, a refined lady about to marry one of England's richest bachelors - now, a hot mess"

description

I am so OBSESSED with Colet Abedi's Mad Love Book Series , so when I learned that she had a new book coming out continuing with this cast of characters TAME quickly became my Most Anticipated Book this year!

"I felt like I had been placed in a super car on a Formula One racetrack and didn't know how to start my engine."

description

TAME can be read as a standalone although I would recommend devouring the other books Mad Love, Mad Love 2, & Madly Addicted before or after TAME. Colet has created the ultimate British Playboys with the Sinclair Family Brothers -- Royal Members of British Aristocracy, Uber wealthy of course, and not to mention their brooding, domineering personalities that just make the perfect male lead in her romance novels. You just crave these Sinclair men in what they do to their lustful ladies' hearts... Ahhh can I get more Colet please!!!!

Tame is a read stuffed to the gills with sexual tension that leaves you sweating. My goodness. I don't think I've read a book that had this much sexual tension before. It practically seeps from the pages. Abby is learning how to be Abby. She's learning how to not be so judgemental on herself. How to quit listening to every word her mom says. Michael shows her how to be herself and be happy in that. Now Michael isn't the greatest. I hated him. I loved him. I loathed him. I adored him. One moment he's sweet, sexy, and determined. The next he's cold, short, and distant. We learn why. Both have misconceptions. Both got a realty check.

I was pretty much lost in the story from the get go. The writing kept me entertained, the characters held my interest, and the banter is hot. I just wish there was a bit more with Abby and Michael. At times it felt rushed. Overall, I enjoyed it and fell in love with Michael and Abby.

Tame is the first book that I have read by Colet Abedi and I enjoyed reading Tame.

Tame is Michael and Abby’s story. Abby (Abigail Walters) has loved Michael Sinclair since she was 8 years old when he protected her from her step-brother. Fast forward, now Abby is 23 and having to make her way on her own. She was working a job and not doing it well when Michael offered her a job as his PA. He would train her. Michael has been attracted to Abby for a long time too.

Michael wasn’t sure he could offer her or ever offer her his commitment. One night he seemed in love with her and then the next day he was giving her a cold and detached attitude.

There is an HEA. Which I loved. Overall I enjoyed their story and am looking forward to reading more from this author.

Tame was my first book by Colet Abedi and I absolutely love it. Riveting, romantic, and well-written, this story had me hooked from beginning to end and I was able to read it all in one sitting.
This was a slow burn but Colet was able to capture the anticipation between Michael and Abbey. She was able make the reader feel the intense chemistry that they had between them, a chemistry that just sizzled off the pages of the novel.
I loved Michael. Throughout the entire book he was swoon-worthy. Its so understandable why Abbey was in love with him her entire life.
This novel was sweet and sexy with lots of steamy scenes. It was a phenomenal read and I would highly recommend it.

Abby has always tried to do the right thing to get her mother's approval. Even to go as far to get engaged to someone she didn't truly love. She's like an ice princess and doesn't let her down and have fun anymore. Until she breaks free of trying to be something she isn't and really never was.

She's been in love with Michael forever and when he wants to hire her to be his PA, she doesn't really want to. Then again.....they're family right? This is where the steam practically starts rolling off your kindle. The sexual tension between these two, the innuendos, whoo-whee.

Michael is an alpha BUT one thing that drove me nuts is his hot and cold way that he treated Abby. I loved seeing him losing his cool and control though.

I was captivated from the very first page until long after the last page. This story was so much more than I anticipated. Michael Sinclair is incredibly charismatic, sexy and fiercely protective. Abby Walters is beautiful, generous, strong and genuine. I instantly fell for these characters. Witnessing them fall in love is magical; they are powerless to stop the irresistible pull to one another. The heart wants what is wants. Their chemistry is electric and irresistible. The intimate scenes are passionate and incredibly sexy. This book is an incredible story of risking it all for love. This book was romantic, emotional and breathtaking! The storyline is very well -written and relatable. I felt every emotion the characters experienced. The ending is absolutely breathtaking! I simply didn’t want this story to end!! This book is a must read!

This one was different from what I'm use to reading. The chemistry that Abby and Michael have is off the chart even though the story is from abbys pov I would have liked to have heard more of Michaels inner musings but you can feel the connection that have.

I'm curious to know if there will be more from them and what is next from colet

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This was a great story, but it was a different type of love story. Michael Sinclair is so freaking SEXXY and HOT!! This is the ultimate dark taboo of cousins (by marriage) or older man/younger woman forbidden love story. Sordid but once you become a part of their lives, the unpleasantness falls away. Although taboo, this was a beautiful love story that was so well done; it held my attention and was entertaining, but also was heartwarming and emotional. This is the first time I read a book by Colet Abedi, but I assure you, it will not be the last. Colet Abedi presents one of the most unseemly potential love stories, and slowly takes you through so many heart wrenching emotions. From the very first page I was spellbound by these fantastically described characters that you will find yourself falling in love with them—or not. I was enthralled with the characters of Abigail (Abby) Mary Walters and Michael Sinclair and the banter between the two. You’ll find yourselves rooting for them, but you may be in denial for a good part of it and just couldn’t imagine feeling for these characters. Despite some of the unsavory elements, I could not stop reading this book and it will keep you glued to the pages to find out what happens next. Michael is tall, handsome, and a sexy billionaire who owns his own company. Abby is related to Michael by marriage. After Abby’s father died, her mother married a Sinclair, who was very wealthy. Abby was always trying to please her mother—even go as far as being engaged to England’s richest bachelor—someone she did not love. Abby leaves home and tries to find out who Abby is—not being so judgmental of herself. At first I thought Abby was an entitled who acted impetuous and somewhat childish. Abby fell in love with Michael when she was seven. Because Michael with enamored with Abby, he asked her to come work for his company—instead of being a barista—someone he felt was too refined to work as a barista. The chemistry between Michael and Abby grows more potent the more time they spend together—the sex is off-the-chart hot! Read how their lives have changed and if their relationship causes problems with family members—what happens next!! You get a chance to see the progression of their love—theirs was not a quick and easy love story because they had to overcome some issues, but loves does prevail. The scenes are well written, fast-paced and flow smoothly from one scene to the next. The book will pique your interest and draw you in from the beginning to the very end.

~4.5 STARS~

Tame by Colet Abedi is full of romance and sexual chemistry/tension. It was a book that definitely kept me interested throughout its entirety.

Abby has been in love with Michael Sinclair since they were children when he punched her stepbrother for being cruel to her. He has been in her life off and on, flirting with her, being her first kiss, and ALWAYS protecting her, even if she didn’t know it. However, he has never given her what she wants…his heart. Now, they are adults, and he is a millionaire doing all sorts of charitable work around the world. When she finds herself in a rather tough spot, he offers her a job as his PA. Her mind is screaming at her that this is a very bad idea. Too bad her heart has other ideas, and she accepts his offer.

Although Abby has lived a very privileged life, she was never a snob. In fact, she oftentimes is her worst enemy. She isn’t sure what she wants to do in her life, but she certainly admires and respects Michael for the passion he has for his job. One of my favorite things about him is his faith in Abby. He helps her find some purpose and direction. She certainly doesn’t get it from her mother, stepfather, or stepbrother.

Michael was everything I love in my lead male characters. He is loyal, intelligent, and very protective of the woman he loves. As Abby says,

"He exudes confidence and power, demanding respect, just being in the room. And then there’s the other part of him. The sensitive side that he revealed when speaking to me about his brother. The side that causes him to defend a little girl being bullied by her stepbrother. The part that makes him more human, just like the rest of us. Another facet to his personality that makes the entire package seem more appealing."

It’s all of those qualities that could bring a woman to her knees. He seemed as if no woman could tame him, but no other woman was Abby.

Abedi certainly knows how to write about sexual tension and chemistry. I definitely felt butterflies in my stomach.

The ONLY thing I wish had been a bit different was the ending. Don’t get me wrong, it was a wonderful book, and my heart definitely melted. However, I felt like it was a somewhat rushed resolution between Abby and her mother. There problems ran too deeply for them to resolve their issues that quickly. Otherwise, this was an excellent read. Abedi is new writer to me, but I am anxious to read more from her!

FICKLE HERO + DOORMAT HEROINE + YO-YO RELATIONSHIP = underwhelming "GROUNDHOG DAY" ROMANCE

As a big fan of the author's MAD LOVE duet, I had great expectations for this third book in the series. Sadly, this book reads like it was phoned in ... and not even by the same author. Although, it's about the brother of the H from the duet, this H, MICHAEL SINCLAIR, doesn't get his due. The h, ABBY WALTERS, doesn't fare any better. He's British and rich ... she's American and rich and comes from more money than he does. Because of family issues, she's decided to make her own way. As an underpaid barista, she's badly in need of a new job. Hence she upgrades to the role of Michael's personal assistant. The tie-in is that she's known Michael all her life and harbors a "forever" crush on him. He actually feels the same, but is in denial.

Now, I really like the author's writing style, and before this I loved her male and female characters and how she weaves a sexy romance. However, most of that skill is absent here. The plotless and conflict-lite tale revolves around Michael's hot-and-cold treatment of Abby about getting romantically involved. As this plot device often does, it got old fast. His behavior was ridiculous, and although both their families played enormous roles in their lives and attitudes, we get very little background on either one, which will make it hard for readers unfamiliar with the duet to feel like they know this couple.

Even the sex scenes were bad -- repetitious descriptions played out almost verbatim each time. Initially, I loved the H and h, but Michael's fickle behavior was like Groundhog Day, and Abby went from adorable to doormat and desperate for putting up with his yo-yoing. She just kept sucked back in by him before he cut things off again.

Given the quality of the previous duet, this standalone should have been much better with a higher rating. This book is only worth 2 stars at best, but given the talent I know the author has shown in the past, I'm giving her 2.75 benefit of the doubt stars. Really wish I hadn't bought the book.

There is nothing tame about this HOT story. Michael and Abby ignite the chapters with their pent-up sexual tension and have you reading faster to get to the end of the book. This is the first book I have read from Colet and I can say it won't be the last as I thoroughly enjoyed her writing.

I love any story with a powerful Alpha male, and Colet has given me the perfect example of power, dominance, and passion with her book, Tame. Michael is rich and handsome but he is also broody, and at times I wished I had an insight into his mind to understand some of his motives, I don't think I have ever spoken to a character out loud that much just edging him to get some balls and go for what he wanted, LOL. Michael has been Abby's "protector" since their infancy, well he is older than Abbi, so she was a child but he has been there for her ever since she can remember, fighting her battles and being the perfect hero. Unfortunately for Abby, this attraction is one way for many years (or so she thinks) so she builds her life even to the extent of getting engaged to a prominent man. When she breaks it off and decides to take the reins of her life, it all goes terribly wrong, until one day when the man of her dreams, Michael, finds her and offers her a job. It should have been easy, there is an undeniable attraction between them, clearly, Michael wants her as much as she desires him, but things aren't so straightforward, the untamable is reluctant to give in and he keeps sending all wrong signals giving poor Abby a case of whiplash.

I loved this book, it was a very enjoyable read and it had a solid plot with great characters. We knew we were going in for a wild ride but still it had me entertained and guessing the next move.
Arc received in exchange for an honest review.

I’m not sure that I ever truly got what I thought I was going to get with this book, now maybe that is my own fault for thinking I knew where the story was heading because clearly, I was mistaken but I picked up on a number of insinuations in the book, that pointed me in a direction that when it didn’t materialise left me feeling a little confused.
Whilst the story trod a well-worn path, one that followed a shy, naive woman as she embarked on a relationship with her boss, a man that certainly knows what he wants from a woman and is more than willing to mold and shape her into everything he desires. Ringing any bells yet?
Please don’t think that I am knocking the book, I am just indicating that for me, I wanted a bit more.
I thought the author created drama creatively, she used her words beautifully to bring what was going on between them to life, I just would have liked a little more oomph!
The dialogue and verbal connection between the Michael and Abigail were some of my favourite bits of the book, I thought the author caught the edge of their connection with a realism that she allowed to shine through. I would have liked to have heard a little more from Michael though, I perceived him to be the driving force in the book and yet I felt that for much of it his voice was missing.
Overall for me, when I finished the book, I felt as if I was missing a chapter or two. Good or bad I thought it had more to give and whilst what I read was good, I think it had promise and that could have made it great.more to give and whilst what I read was good, I think it had promise and that could have made it great.

Tame tells the story of Abby, a young girl we met in the previous books in this series, who has just dumped her fiance and is now working as a barista in order to make a living. This quickly changes when Michael walks into the cafe. Michael is a well-known playboy who has known Abby since she was a child when her mother married his uncle. Seeing the situation she's in, Michael immediately offers her a job as his PA under the guise of it being due to their familial relations when really all he wants is her to be close to him. Abby begrudgingly accepts days later when she's fired, and the tension between the two is more present than ever.

I loved the mutual pining after one another in this book and the years of tension that built up just to explode all at once. What I didn't like, however, is how Michael seemed to continuously push and pull Abby towards and away from him. It seems as though this is a common factor with the Sinclair brothers since I remember Clayton doing the same thing with Sophie in Mad Love and Mad Love 2, but Michael's continuous hot and cold within mere hours was a tad annoying. Nonetheless, this is a HEA and the ending was sweet albeit a little predictable. I can't wait to read William's book next.

The next book in the "Addicted" series follows Clayton Sinclair's brother Michael and Abby their cousin-by-marriage (who we met in previous installments of the series). There wasn't a whole lot to their story. Abby is now working in a coffee shop and she's bad at it. Michael offers her a job working for him which she refuses. She gets fired and decides to take a chance on working with Michael who she has pretty much been in love with all of her life, knowing that it'll be torture being around him. Mostly their story was too much of a copy and paste from Clayton's and Sophie's story. It was fun for what it was, yes, but I was kind of hoping that this pairing would have their own dynamic. There needed to be something else to separate them as characters aside from names, basically. Otherwise, we could have just gotten another story centered around Clayton and Sophie. However, I still enjoyed it and there was a fun little surprise at the end. Worth a read on the weekend!

Abby has had a crush on Michael since forever!
And every time she has an encounter with him she falls even more in love with him.

After leaving her uber rich Russian fiancé at the alter she resorts to being a barista in a cafe which she really sucks at. She isn’t meant to work in a cafe. Ever Abby has no idea what she should be doing with her life.

After Michael offers her a job as his PA.

That’s when all goes to hell.

If it’s even more possible she falls deeper into him and he continuously sends her mixed signals.
She needs to get herself under control or she’s going to lose herself too in the process.
It’s a good read. It’s very well written too!
I would definitely read more from her!
