I’m not sure what to call this.....

Honestly this doesn’t “feel” like a romance to me per say, there are two ppl ( Luna and Devlin) meet and fall in love with each other ... Two ppl you see grow in strength and beauty,you see them grow and blossom from within and it’s a beautiful story ....
But despite they declarations of love and pledging to spend eternity together,literally in front of the Almighty himself,for me they never truly felt together...
Now Luna and Devlin’s story is a clean on,while there are threats of violence towards her at times she and Dev never do more than a few passionate kisses,supposedly they start to sleep together at one point and once later in the story he pulls back into bed with him and she “melts underneath him” but for all we know all they do is sleep with each other ( literally) and when she melted they had a tickle fight,that sounds silly I know but other than a few thoughts here and there from Dev,nothing of a sex life is even hinted at ,soo it’s just complete and total guess work...
And not that sex HAS to be a part of a romance ,per say, but when two ppl are starting to fall in Love it’s usually a natural part of the progression of things and the lust and desire when done right helps you see how they feel about each other and their connection etc...
Now there is no doubt Luna love Dev and vice versa,their is a connection for the very beginning, I wouldn’t call it chemistry per say but there’s something there....
But it’s weird Dev and Luna go from this kinda interesting cat and mouse game watching each other, him coming to the bar every night to watch her and her watch him,til he pushes her a bit far ( not far for him really) and disappoints her enough to where she wants the night off away from the club and him...
The next day hen she returns she finds out the monsters on her trail have found her and one the skivvy girls at the club has sold her out,she runs off to find out about the damage the itch has done, Dev sees her and goes with her, no details to spoil but this does put them in the position to learn more about each other and she comes to stay with him...
Now Dev had already decided she was going to be his,,but at the drama of her life unfolds we watch as they grow closer mentally and emotionally and continue to grow in their respect and love for each other but during this Luna just seems to go from feeling like his very special friend and employee ( still) to somewhere being his girlfriend, but that’s as she’s dealing with the things coming up in her life.... Dev is like her good friend one minute and the love her life the next , all the while trying to cope with the unfolding drama of her past,crying herself to sleep in her bed one night and his the next....
Then things change and he has to go after her and ends up pledging pledging eternity to each other in front of the Almighty and the we’re at the end parts where we are meeting his children soo their stories can begin ....
Sooo while this is definitely a Love story, I wouldn’t call it a romance,Devil or not no sexy times and you don’t have any real romantic moments ...
Is that bad ? No not really,this is a good and beautiful story about two ppl finding their soulmates , darkness and light, a balance... she helps heal him,and he gives her the love and support we all need and crave... but I just didn’t know what I was getting and was confused at times...
I only read Luna and Dev’s story, that was enough for me,the children while they might be interesting felt like they might be some YA drama like some watch on the CW or ABC Family and I wasn’t interested...
I might go back and buy this some day coz Luna and Dev are a really neat story but while I know in my head they loved each other they never felt like a couple,can’t explain..
To ppl who love each other but never felt like a couple to me..
Thank you , this was very interesting but not sure if I’ll return ...

I enjoyed this story of the devil and Luna, his soulmate. It was not the sort of devil story I've ever read. This is my first book of this series. He's not inherently evil in this book, although he does enjoy claiming evil souls and has little faith in humanity. I'm not sure I understand exactly what he is or the role his children play, but look forward to the next book.

Enjoyable

This was an enjoyable experience,when I started the I didn't know what to expect but as I kept reading I found out it's about the devil.The book was good but I wanted a better ending.That will not stop me from telling you to read the book you can't go wrong.
