This book was purchased after a lecture session with the authors who were promoting Clinical Psychology to Psychology students at different universities. The structure and overall topic of the book helps a lot with understanding the basics of Clinical Psychology and what it requires and how to pursue such a career.

However, it is at best a bare-bones to the field and most of this information is available online through Youtube/Clearing House/Blogs and etc. Even more others provide more detail about certain processes and requirements of universities that provide the Clinical Doctrine. Additionally, this book is now a bit old and the figures have significantly changed, especially the pay because of factors like COVID influence, economic changes in London and NHS protests. Some of the information was quite vague and repetitive whilst the personal perspectives seemed like random inserts. I also found an awkward grammar mistake which is not ideal for a published book.

Overall, it is useful and insightful for a beginner to gave basic knowledge.

Very helpful! Written in a way that is very easy to follow. Good reflective questions, interviews from trainees and qualified CPs. I'd read a review saying you can find most of the info on this book online- I agree but I'm glad the authors have collected them in a book for me so I don't have to spend extra time looking for them. Of course, extra info online would supplement it :) I'd recommend the book!

Definitely a helpful book had I read it at the beginning of my career path- however in all honesty, it read like a collection of blog articles, in fact many people are providing this information online for free...

Helpful information though nonetheless
